Hotaru had no clue how long she had been living with the supposed 'family' that had kidnapped her. A couple of days maybe? She couldn't tell, at that moment she was curled up under the sheets of her bed. She had got into the habit of staying in her room as long as she possibly could, which didn't seem to work all that much with the... kids, and Archer(he had finally told her his name) keeping a close watch on her practically all the time.
She did find ways to protest however. She had probably eaten once since she arrived, and that was by sneaking into the kitchen at night when they were all asleep. Downside was, she was starting to get really weak, it was one of the reasons the redhead hadn't even tried getting out of bed just yet. Her legs tended to shake a lot when she tried to walk or run too much.
The so-called mother's thoughts were interrupted when she heard the door start to click open. She tried to hide her face in the covers, as if that would make her invisible and they would leave her alone for a while longer. She did that every time someone would walk in actually, and sadly it never worked.

Archer opened the door to Hotaru's room and glanced in. He noticed Hotaru's usual curled up form in the middle of the bed and walked in. He was dressed in his leather outfit for the days activities. The kids were out and having their fun and were warned to stay away from the house. It was Daddy's time with Mommy. He stood at the side of the bed and ripped the sheet off quickly and left it piled on the corner of the floor. He was planning on washing the sheets this week anyways so it worked out.
Archer stood by the side of her bed and shook his head. She had been losing weight due to her refusal to eat and she would really regret that decision after the day was through. "The kids are out for the day so get up dear and go get cleaned up, I've got something to show you." he said with a dark grin as he turned his back and made his way to his usual chair to wait.

Hotaru flinched and screwed her eyes shut when the sheets were taken from her. Ugh, she hated when he called her Dear, or Darling, he way he always said it made her skin crawl. She wanted to protest and stay in bed a while longer, dream of her and Jack reuniting and everything going back to normal for a while until reality slapped her across the face again. Though she knew better, if she didn't get up then he'd make her one way or another, and she just didn't have the strength for that at the moment.
Slowly, the pale Tora made her way out of bed, dragging herself across the room and into the bathroom. Again, she took her time brushing her hair(which already took a while to do considering its length), washing her face, and all before she stepped out. "Alright. Now what?" she asked, tired.

Archer stood back up and walked over to her. He knew that she would not be able to walk very much so he leaned down and picked her up bridal style. "No point in arguing." he muttered seeing her face grow with distaste.
Archer carried her out of the room and downstairs to the kitchen. He grabbed his bag which he'd left on the counter and continued to the large pantry. The pantry was extra large and even had an extra freezer in it which had never worked. He placed Hotaru on her feet and closed the pantry door then went back to the freezer. He opened it and pressed the button on the inside. The back panel slide to the side and the stairwell came into view. He turned back to Hotaru and took her hand. "Come on, down stairs you go." he winked and helped her through the freezer and onto the stairwell. He grabbed his bag and followed behind her, closing the door behind himself. The stairs darkened until he pressed two buttons on the wall which closed the freezer and turned on the lights that descended down the stairs.
Archer grabbed Hotaru's hand again and started down the stairs, tugging the red head down behind him. Once they reached the bottom he closed the door and bolted it shut then tucked the key away. He proceeded around the room and lit a few of the torches along the wall. One by one it illuminated the room and showed the Tora some of his many devices. The most normal thing within the room was the small couch against the wall. The rest of the items were more than a little intense and he knew she start freaking out about it. "Welcome to my playroom." he commented with his signature grin as he gestured around.

Hotaru didn't bother arguing as Archer took her to his little lair of sorts. Though when the torches were lit and she actually got a look at the place, she was about ready to collapse. Her eyes were wide as she looked around her, arms wrapped tight around herself as a way to help comfort her. This place... "Wh-why am I here...?" she asked unsteadily. Her legs were shaking violently beneath her. She felt scared, and sick and dizzy all at once, what was he going to do with her?!

Archer immediately saw the fear in her eyes and reveled in it. She was entirely predictable with her reaction and he couldn't wait to see whether she had any surprises awaiting him. He placed his bag on the table and walked over to the red head. He picked her up and walked her over to his first place of interest. He laid her on the cold slab and straightened her arm out, latching it to the manacle. He proceeded to her other arm and latched it as well. He was really glad she hadn't been eating, it made his job much easier.
"It would really be useless to fight it all." he muttered as walked down her side. He trailed a finger down her leg then latched her ankle to the table. He did the same with the other side and grinned at the girl from the end of the rock slab. "Today we'll be working on some of your inner demons." he knelt down at picked up the torch he'd left sitting there. He picked it up and lit it with his lighter. The small torch quickly sparked to life and started to lick its way up the cloth. He smiled and walked back to the slab where Hotaru was now chained. "Where should we start?" he asked grinning deviously.

The Tora was beginning to get more and more terrified with each passing second, the torch was REALLY what did it however. Her eyes widen and she began to struggle uselessly. "No... No PLEASE!!" she pleaded, beginning to panic. It was all too much, at any second now she knew the flashbacks would start to run through her mind, just like when her father tried shoving his lighter in her face. "Y-you wouldn't wanna hurt Mommy now would you!?" She knew she sounded rather pathetic right then, and at any other given time she would have refused to beg the way she was, but fire alone was plenty enough to drive her crazy and she REFUSED to join the insane trio this way.

Archer chuckled and leaned in close with the fire. "Now darling why in the world would I ever want to hurt you? And besides, in here there's no Mommy or Daddy. Just you and me." he winked and trailed the fire close to her side. "That Mommy and Daddy stuff is mainly for the kids anyways."
He trailed the fire mere inches away from her body up and back. "Lesson number one, you're going to overcome your scar aversion." He laid down the torch against the stone and trailed a finger against her scars. "These are not your fault so you should not be so self conscious about them. Haven't you heard of battle scars before? You were in a gang and yet you act like a frightened child now." He grabbed the torch again and held it close to her. "Do you understand?" he said into her ear.

Hotaru was starting to sweat now, feeling the heat radiating a little too close for comfort for her. He pulled it away from her, and for a split second she thought she was fine. She began to tremble a little more as he started talking and touching her scars. He was right, she was completely different from how she use to be, but she couldn't help it. She was a cry baby when was younger, but when she was put in a position where she either had to be tough or she was gone, she practically forced herself to change. Now that she had been away from surroundings like that she had softened up again. She took a deep breath and nodded her head in reply. "I... I understand..."

Archer raised his eyebrow and cocked his head to the side. "Are you sure?" his hand went back to her scars while the other held the small torch above her exposed stomach. He shook his head and tsked. "You know, we're much more alike than you realize. Except the fact that your biggest fear is my favorite toy." He was mainly mentioning the scars in this instance. "You have got too weak over the years... you have to break free of these irrational fears" he grabbed the fire and held it in his hand. He brought the fire to her waist and let it lick her clothing before moving it away. "It's all in your mind." he whispered in her ear. "Let loose of your scar's fears."

Hotaru had screwed her eyes closed, not wanting to look at what all was going on. Though it almost seemed worse when her eyes were shut. Flashbacks started to hit her once again and suddenly she was back at the warehouse all those years ago, staring Death in the eyes. "Make it stop..." she muttered, beginning to feel her head spin. Images of the fire started to be too much, and pretty soon, it started linking itself to other memories too.
She remembered the fire, and Greg pulling her out just in time. Then all of a sudden her mind was cruel enough to bring her back to the other most terrifying moment in her life, the day Greg was murdered. Oh god all the BLOOD they were covered in, and those blank, lifeless blue eyes staring right through her. "STOP!!" she started screaming and struggling more now, eyes now wide open and filled with panic. "Makeitstop makeitstop MAKEITSTOP!!!"

Archer smirked to himself as she started to mutter and then scream. "He wouldn't have wanted you to be ashamed of your scars. They define you... he risked his life so you would have yours and now you're hiding away within yourself. You have to let it all go. Stop let it torment you and release it." he removed the fire ball and placed it back on the torch. "Greg is dead so you can still live. Stop being so self conscious about your scars. It's like you're hiding from the last thing that linked you to him." Archer walked around to the other side and leaned down to her ear. "Let go of the insecurity. It wasn't your fault. Let it go... let it go." he continued to chant in her ear. He held the torch above her stomach to illuminate the scars beneath.

The redhead froze in place to try and keep away from the torch. Her breathing got heavy as he started to chant in her ear. How was she suppose to let it go? She'd held onto it for so long... "I don't know how..." she admitted weakly. She hated being so scared of it, she was tired of being haunted by it all.
Hotaru turned her head to face Archer, her cheek hitting the cold stone table. "Help me..."

Archer brushed her hair away from her face and set the torch on the table a good foot away. He grabbed her face with both hands on either side of her cheeks. "Repeat after me. It wasn't my fault. I am not responsible. I am not ashamed. I am not afraid." he continued to repeat it until she did.

Hotaru let her body relax when the torch was out of her way, eyes still on the Kuma as she tried repeating him. "I-It wasn't my fault..." she hesitated at first. "I'm not responsible... I'm not ashamed.." she paused and took a long breath, could she really say this and mean it? She'd have to try. "I'm not afraid."
