Tessa skipped into the closed theater with a smile. She'd seen some guy come through the back entrance and wanted to see where he was going. The girl had never been in the theater and was curious to what would be there. As she walked around the dark corridors the lights started to go on. It was early in the morning. The theater would probably be opening sometime.
Counting her steps from the back entrance she slipped into an empty door that had a poster displayed by the door. It looked like some lovey movie. There were two people on it holding hearts. With a smile she went in and followed the walk around and sat down at the bottom middle of the large seat filled room.
Tessa figured she'd sit around till the movie started and see what she was in for.

Oh sweet Jesus, why was Noah doing this? He didn't like sneaking in like this, but every time he tried to go see a movie all the tickets would be gone and he'd once again miss out on the city-boy experience! He knew he was far from that category, but still, he was open to new things.
Now there was which movie he should go see. As he was looking around, he heard footstep nearing. In a panic, the cowboy ran into the first theater he came across. As he found a seat he sighed and relaxed a bit. A short moment later he saw a girl enter the theater, causing him to freeze for a moment. Well, until he noticed she wasn't a worker.
"Er... ma'am?" he asked awkwardly. "Bit early for a movie, innit?" Kinda stupid since he was early too, but Noah had a tendency not to think too much before he spoke.

Tessa froze and turned her head to the guy talking. She noticed he was wearing a weird looking hat on his head but at least he sounded nice. She decided he wasn't going to throw her out, he was probably doing exactly what she was.
"Yea, I kinda just slipped in. I've never been to one of these places. Do you know what it is?" she asked curiously as she turned in her seat to look at the guy. She smiled hoping he would answer her question.

Noah smiled, she seemed nice enough. "It's a movie theater. Come inside and watch all these movies." he thought it was a bit odd that she didn't know what it was, even he at least had heard of the place before.
A quick moment passed and he figured he'd introduce himself. "Name's Noah by the way, Noah Underwood. What might your name be, Miss?" he asked as polite as he knew how to.

Tessa smiled back at Noah glad he'd answered her and that he was being nice. "I'm Tessa Clare." she replied happily. "Umm... could you tell me what exactly a movie is?" she bit her bottom lip nervously. Often questions like this got people uneasy around her. They usually would get up and walk out. She really hoped Noah wouldn't do that though. He was nice and she was really unsure what was going on.

Noah blinked and chuckled to himself, she looked serious about the question. "You must've been one deprived child growin' up." he commented before continuing. "A movie's.... like a bunch of pictures comin' together to make it look like the people in it are movin' and talkin'. They've got plots and all, like in a book." he grinned a little wider. "Does that give you a better idea?"

Tessa smirked and chuckled to herself at his first comment. He couldn't be any closer to the truth. "Oh," she drug the word out a bit before continuing. "I get it now, it sounds really awesome! So what exactly brings you here so early like me? I know I'm not even supposed to be here. I followed someone in... actually that may have been you..." she trailed off then chuckled at the irony of it.

Noah rubbed the back of his neck for a second. "I, uh, haven't really gotten to go to a theater before." he admitted sheepishly. "I wanted to beat the crowd, so I kinda snuck in..." he sounded like he had just killed someone. This was terrible! He was breaking into movie theaters now! Next thing you know he'd start stealing and living a life of crime as some sort of outlaw! This was bad! Bad bad bad! He'd be in so much trouble if his parents knew... he was raised much better than THIS.

Tessa giggled quietly at his statement then smiled. "Well I haven't been here either so I guess we're in the same situation." Then she got up and walked over to a seat one away from him. She pulled the bar up and sat on both seats with her legs crossed beside Noah. "So what's your hat? I've never seen one." she said as she touched the tip.

He flinched a little when Tessa touched his hat. "Hey now, careful with my hat." he said, though he continued to smile. "Everyone back home had hats like this." he laughed a little. "I'm not from 'round here if you couldn't tell." he pointed out to her.

Tessa giggled at his reaction. "Well honestly I couldn't tell. I'm not exactly from around here either so I'm not familiar with things and people. So where are you from that people wear funny shaped hats like yours?" She was tempted to touch it again just to see what he would do but she didn't want to make him mad by doing so.

Noah sighed. "Don't insult the hat." he said teasingly. "And I'm... from far away." he settled with. He decided he try his best to make it sound like a story for the (he thought)little girl, she might enjoy it more that way. "There's horses and cattle and other animals everywhere, and land as far as the eye could see. A house not too big, not too small, just perfect for me and my folks. And at night, you could see the stars and moon shining so bright. It's nothin' fancy, but it was home. I sure do miss it."
He sighed again, looking back at Tessa. "So what about you, if you're not from here either."

Tessa smiled at his answer and withheld a chuckle at his first comment. "I wasn't insulting your hat, I was just curious about it. That doesn't quite fit in around here, that part I do know."
She listened to his brief description attentively then decided to answer his question. "Well I lived with my parents in this little house a bit away from here. Not exactly sure where it was... they never let me know exactly where it was located. It was kinda like you described though. A nice sized house with animals. I had a dog named Buttercup. My parents decided when I was 18 that I was ready to come here... I've been here ever since. I don't get out much though so I don't know many of the things... just the stuff I grew up with. I like it here though. I'm enjoying making new friends." she smiled then blushed realizing how much she'd said and how fast she'd said it.

Noah listened patiently to Tessa, nodding a little once she finished. "It's not bad," he said in reference to the city. "Just a little different than what I'm use to." he paused. "But what I do know about this town I'd be more than happy to help ya out with. How's that sound?" he asked, a cheerful grin on his face.

Tessa's face lit up happily as he offered to help her out. "That sounds great!" she exclaimed bouncing up and down in her seat. "So when do you think the movie is going to start? I'm excited now that I know what it is. What do you think it's gonna be about?" she asked talking really fast with a large smile on her face. She surely wasn't acting her age but then again she never really did anyways. The girl was a hyperactive adult with the heart of a child still. To her, she'd just made another new friend.
