Theo strolled around the decrepit amusement park in peace. He had been blacking out less and less since he had come to Hatsu Itonami, and while it still happened, he was beginning to think whatever damage his father had done was starting to wear off, at least a little.
The truth of the matter was that Karter was getting exhausted, the split personality needed a vacation from rescuing his charge, and today seemed like a good day to sleep. So the alter-ego had nudged Theo toward the amusement park, no one shady went there in broad daylight, and since it was noon now the light couldn't get much broader.
So the clueless Tora clansman walked around and explored his surroundings, deriving seemingly endless amounts of pleasure from just being able to walk around without fear of someone telling his father where he was and seeing all the old machines. The thought wandered into his head that he should attempt to purchase a sketchbook and try drawing some of the broken roller-coaster bits, and he filed this away as something to do later when funds were more available.

There was really no reason behind Yukiko's attraction to places like the amusement park, she just had a liking for lifeless places. First of all the lack of plant life was a guarantee that she would be free of sudden allergy-attacks while wandering around, and secondly, she enjoyed the seclusion. Though the latter was becoming less and less prominent as time worn on. Numerous encounters and conversations had left the Ookami to slowly realizes she didn't like being alone as much as she had initially thought...
Still, today was another day set aside for thinking; and boy did she have a lot to think about. Finding a dead body was not something one could easily forget or set aside. The entire day was playing in the Ookami's head over and over again like some sort of unstoppable cycle.
Unfortunately, Yukiko was so absorbed in her thought process, she paid no heed to her surrondings. Which resulted in her walking straight into the ruins of an old ride. Her forehead slammed against the metal as her mind was violently pulled out of its foggy state. The echo of face meeting metal echoed loudly through the otherwise silent air as the Ookami fell to the ground, dazed.

Theo started at the echo of face-meeting metal (his inner self cringed as he realized how easy it was to identify that sound) and started to run to the source of the noise. After all, he knew how much that could hurt, and it was just the right thing to do! Whoever got hit would be disoriented and have one hell of a headache, and he just hoped he'd be able to help them, whoever they were.
He rounded a corner and stumbled across a young woman, a little older than himself, dazed and sprawled out on the ground. He squeaked and knelt down next to her, hands hovering but unsure where to touch to help her up. He soon decided that the shoulders were a safe bet and set about helping the brunette to sit up. "O-Oh wow... are, are you okay miss?" He asked, stutter falling into place as per usual.

Yukiko utter a little moan as she was helped into a sitting position and began to blink rapidly to get her eyes to focus. "Erm... I'm fine. Thanks." She winced upon touching her forehead. There was going to be a very nice bump there in a few minutes. "Ouch." The Ookami rubbed her forehead gently and blinked a few more times. The stuttering figure before her becaming less and less blurry, and soon her vision was functioning properly. For a moment she thought she recognized him from somewhere, but lacking any solid answer Yukiko pushed it aside as possible brain damage.
"Funny, I've hit my head on a lot of things, but I think that one takes the cake." The Ookami glanced back at the boy who had helped her up, managing a reassuring smile despite the pouding in her head. "Oh, but don't worry. I should be okay in a few minutes."

Theo sighed in relief, the woman was alright, that was great. "G-glad to hear it..." He said, giving a small smile. He'd wait a little while longer for her head to clear (as it most certainly wasn't alright right now) and then introduce himself afterward. Maybe ask what she was up to here. After all, he should really try and make a friend or two. His first attempts hadn't turned out very well...
A minute or so went by before he deemed that her head was probably feeling a little better. "I'm... I'm Theo." He said quietly. "Uh... what's you're name?"

"Yukiko..." The Ookami inhaled sharply, allowing a rush of oxygen to enter her brain and clear her senses. "But everyone just calls me Yuki." The impact-induced slur was gone and her voice was back to its normal soft-and-shy-but-also-perky-and-friendly state. After a moment her brain seemed to recall her polite mannerisms and she added, "It's very nice to meet you Theo."

Theo smiled slightly at the girl. She seemed nice, and that was good to see. He liked meeting nice people. "I-It's nice to meet you too, M-Miss Yuki." He wasn't sure how old exactly she was, but it was always good to show respect. "Um..." He actually was a bit curious about what she was even doing here today. It didn't seem like a popular hang-out or anything. "I-If you don't, um... Mind me asking," He started off. "What brings you here, and, um... into poles?" The feeble joke might have been a little bad, but it was more confidence than he usually showed (not that anyone would really know that).

To be honest, it didn't matter where Yukiko went, she always managed to hurt herself. No matter how far and few the poles she always found a way to walk into one... that or fall flat on her face.
"I wander around here on occasion," the green-eyed Ookami answered. "It's usually quiet, so it's a good place to think and play guitar. You don't get interrupted very much out here." She had noticed Theo's somewhat uncertain tone and tried to sound extra-friendly to compensate. He reminded her of herself in a way, shy and polite. She kinda felt for him, in a way.
"And as for the pole part," Yukiko gave a sheepish grin, "I'm just clumsy. I can hurt myself doing just about anything."

Theo's small smile widened slightly, it was good to know he wasn't the only one that walked into things. He was doing that less now too, but considering how often he still tripped... "Y-You play guitar?" He decided to pursue that venue, as it seemed rather interesting. He could draw, but only barely, and he really hated how cartoony it all looked. But you couldn't mess up an instrument, could you? He certainly didn't think so. The Tora would much rather be able to play music than draw.

Yukiko nodded. "Yeah, my dad got me started, but I mostly had to teach myself." Her father had been an inspiration more than anything else. He'd left right around the time the Ookami had truly devoted herself to the arts... Actually his abandonment was probably the reason why she had done so. "I just dabble in a few things really... Music, drawing... Walking into stagnant objects..." She cracked a playful half-grin at thd last few words, pleased that she'd managed to make a joke.

A giggle bubbled out of Theo's throat. Okay, jokes were good, he'd have to try making a few more of them soon. He wasn't sure how well or quickly he could come up with them, he just hoped he wouldn't bore the kind Ookami teen. "W-well, you seem like a master of the last one..." He tried, hoping that that didn't come out wrong and keeping his small smile up to keep her from thinking he actually meant it.
She had mentioned drawing... maybe he could talk about that now? He couldn't play and instrument so he was running out of ideas on that one... "B-but, uh, y-you draw too?"

Another nod. "Yeah. I always have a sketchbook with me." There were two or three in her bag at the moment, along with a ridiculous assortment of pencils. When it came to art, Yukiko always came prepared. "Although... they're nothing special." The Ookami sighed a scratched her cheek awkwardly. While others would often compliment on her art, Yukiko could only ever see what was wrong with them.
"But what about you?" she suddenly asked, somewhat changing the subject. "Any hobbies?"

"O-oh! M-me?" He stammered. "Well... Uh... I draw a little too, I guess... I-I'm not much good though..." Far too cartoony of a style, though he could attribute this to a lack of practice. "Other than that, I uh, don't know... I worked a lot back... back home s-so..." He rubbed the back of his head and glanced down. He really needed to find more hobbies, at least until he found a proper job.

"Oh." There was a pause. Truth was Yukiko never had to work a day in her life and without any real social skills she wound up with a lot of free time, more than she really needed; so at first it was hard to relate to what Theo was saying. "I guess I really have too much spare time," the Ookami stated sheepishly. "I don't have much else to do with myself besides draw and play music." Another pause. Theo had said "back home"... So did that mean he wasn't from Hatsu Itonami? Yukiko found herself intrigued by the concept. She'd never left the city herself, so seaking to foreigners always fascinated her.
"So, are you new in town by any chance?" Not wanting to sound overly inquisitive, she quickly added, "I mean, I've never seen you around before, so..."

He gave a nod in response. Yuki was lucky, not needing to work, but that wasn't a bad thing. If it gave her time to make music and art, it certainly couldn't be bad. "I... I only moved here a couple of weeks ago..." He gave a shaky but very real smile. "Doesn't feel a-all that long though..." Without the constant need to budget his time strategically or to try and lengthen his working hours, the days had just flown by. He barely remembered half of them. It was bliss.
