"Eh, this is you, I'm sure you'd figure out some way to do it." He quipped, grinning a little as he became fully aware of the chill. Not that he could or would ask for his jacket back, as little of a lady as Persephone seemed, she still was one. Besides, if he got sick, Mina'd be forced to take a double shift. Perfect revenge. Still, there were better ways to torture employees without personal discomfort involved. He could last at least a little longer though, no doubt about that.

"Eh, probably." The Tora gave a dry chuckle. "I don't see you going down too easily either. Whenever you do go, you'll go kicking." If there was one thing that Persephone knew about her gunslinging clanmate, that was it.

"Of course, but that won't happen for a long time yet." He had too much in the skill department for that to happen any time soon. Although that was only if he could avoid hand-to-hand combat. With his gimp leg, he was... and underwhelming opponent at best. Without both legs he was only good a distanced fighting with his guns. However, between Egil, Mina, and his 'adopted son' he was pretty sure everything was covered in the hand-to-hand area.

Another smirk. "I bet. You're a fighter." She tightened her companion's jacket around her chest with one hand and moved her bangs from her face with the other (they were way too long, honestly; she really needed to get a haircut). Persephone turned her head up to the sky momentarily, taking a moment to study the thick grey clouds. "Wonder if it'll snow soon," she mused with a mumble.

Satoru glanced up. "Not for a few more weeks I hope..." He glanced at Persephone. "But if it starts up now, I'm taking my jacket back." He was older, he could claim the bad weather equals bad pain excuse whenever he wanted to, really, he just hadn't been using it up until now because he had always had his jacket with him.

"Funny." Persephone's voice was dripping with sarcasm. She couldn't really complain if he did; Satoru hadn't had to give it to her at all in the first place. "You really are a gentleman."

"As much a gentleman as you are a lady." He snarked back. "Besides, seniority." He was willing to admit his elder-position so long as it got him something in return. Had anyone pointed it out aside from him, however, he'd have been adamant about not being a 'decrepit old geezer.' Actually, he'd probably STILL claim that even when he WAS a decrepit old geezer.

Having no other snarky remarks to throw back in immediate retaliation, Persephone merely stuck her tongue out at her clanmate in a rather child-like fashion. True, she wasn't much of a lady, but that didn't mean she'd let people blatantly point it out. Then again, she got pretty touchy when people did refer to her a a lady as well. The word was simply never to be used with her name, whether it be in a good or bad way.

Satoru smirked. "I'll take that as a surrender." He said, the glow of victory filling him. It wasn't a big victory, but really, who cared? He WON. And if Persephone hadn't wanted him to point that out, she shouldn't have mentioned 'gentleman' in conjunction with his name. 'Sir' or 'Gunslinger' or 'Sai' (thanks to Mina) he didn't mind, but gentleman he was not.

"Please, Persephone Touzoko never surrenders. She simply takes time to recover while her brain goes on temporary leave." She paused, taking a moment to think. "And besides, you didn't win. You simply made a valid point in conjunction with mine." There still wasn't much the Tora could come up with to say relatliation at this point, so she decided to was time to change the subject. "Either way, it's not snowing, so I suppose I'll be able to borrow this a little while longer."

Satoru nodded, deciding to let the topic drop. "Yeah yeah, sounds fair." Well, not exactly, but he wasn't about to take the jacket back now. The gunslinger sorted though his head for a topic of interest. Finding none (he wasn't exactly a social creature) he just looked up at the clouds. Night would be falling soon enough, and it would get even colder then, but the stars would come out. He hummed an old song softly, thoughts continuing to wander hither and thither as the tune of Name by the Goo Goo Dolls slowly emerged from the humming.

Persephone was also at loss for words. She was usually more talkitive than some, but her brand of social usually invovled sarcasm, sly jabs, and being entirely obnoxious. For some reason she didn't feel entirely up to it right now. Satoru didn't entirely deserve to get antagonized, she suppossed. He hadn't done anything terrible to her and he wasn't a friend (Persephone had a habit of treating both groups pretty much the same).
There really wasn't much to be said until her clanmate started humming. It took a bit, but the Tora eventually recognized the tune.
"I didn't think there was anyone else who listened to the GooGoo Dolls in this day and age," the golden-eyed girl mused amusedly. She liked them herself, but really hadn't met anyone else who did... (Besides Kaito anyway, but that boy listened to everything.)

Satoru blinked. "I'm more surprised you do, but I'm glad. They're a damn good band." And his favorite band, hands down. He had converted Mina and Egil over to his side of thinking, it was good to know that he wouldn't have to bother talking/strong-arming/forcing-her-to-listen-to-and-subsequently-start-off Persephone into liking them.

"My mom liked 'em a lot, so it's what I grew up with." The Tora shrugged. "I s'pose Dad did too, but only when he was sober enough to actually sit back and listen." There was a sorry shake of the head, almost pitying. Persephone did hate her father, but she also knew that if he hadn't always been drinking he probably could have been halfway decent... "could have" being the key words.

"'Fact of life: everyone over age twenty has gotten drunk more times than they can count,' honestly I'm not surprised." From how Persephone's life had sounded earlier, he really and truly wasn't. "My old teacher liked them a lot, said they were a good way to calm ya down." And DAMN if Kei hadn't been one-hundred-percent correct. At least with Satoru anyway.
