"You'll get it," Kaito murmured encourgingly. "It took me a good year to make any sound at all, so you've already blown me out of the water." He smirked, poking the blonde Tora's nose playfully with a piece of grass.

Ayumu laughed. "I'm just a quick study." she told him, playfully swatting the blade of grass away from her nose. A short second later her nose twitched, followed by a tiny, high-pitched sneeze. The blond rubbed her nose a little and smiled sheepishly.

"Bless you," Kaito chimed, still playing with the grass. This time he was tying two blades into a sort of cross. If there was one thing that hadn't changed about him since childhood, it was his ability to be entertained by the smallest things.

Ayumu scratched the side of her head. "Thanks." she smiled, watching him play with the grass. She found it adorable really. After a few moments she laid down on the grass, deciding to rest her head on Kaito's lap. Her cheeks turned pink, she hoped it was alright with him.

Kaito was a little suprised at first, but didn't show it. He gently moved a stray strand of hair from Ayumu's face and looked up at the sky whistfully.
"It's a shame you can't get days like this more often," he mused thoughtfully. "It's always too hot or too cold or raining." Now I sound like Yukiko, he thought for a moment. True, the little Ookami was always wailing about the weather when she was with him. It was a wonder the girl ever actually went outdoors.

"Mhmm, especially lately." Ayumu agreed, still trying to keep from blushing a little. "I'm surprised it hasn't been that cold lately, it is Winter after all." she pointed out. She loved going outside, but when a good bit of her clothes included skirts, it was pretty hard to go out when it got cold. Maybe it was a sign that she need to either buy pants or leggings for under her skirt.

"Mm," Kaito quietly agreed. "It's definitely getting colder, though I usually can't tell." He didn't know what it was, the Tora just never got cold. Ever. Perhaps he was a freak of nature, or maybe girls just got cold easier than guys did. He didn't think about it too much.

Ayumu giggled. "I remember." she said, recalling the night when they were at the Manor. "Worried me for a while there, 'specially when you gave me your jacket." She didn't mind though, she liked wearing his jacket, it felt nice.

Kaito smirked. "Well, I'm still alive, aren't I? And you don't have pneumonia, so I'd say mission accomplished." His smirked softened into the smallest of smiles. How lucky had he been that night? Just one measly desicion to take a walk and suddenly all of "this" had happened. The Tora was still recovering from the inital shock.

Ayumu nodded slightly. "I guess so." she smiled. She liked this so far, her and Kaito. Things seemed so simple and nice and right. She never knew she'd enjoy this so much.
The blond giggled a few seconds later. "You're gonna have to hang out with West at some point you know." she told him happily. "I wanna make sure the two of you get along." Well, Kaito had met Ayumu and Kyou at the store a while back, and the two had seemed to get along okay, so she really wasn't too worried.

"That sounds good to me," Kaito replied softly. He didn't mind Kyou, the guy seemed pretty nice. Childish, maybe, but nice. And obviously Ayumu cared a lot about him. Kaito himself had yet to understand that sort of unconditional love for a sibling. "You really love your brother, huh?"

Ayumu didn't hesitate to answer him. "Yep, I don't know what I'd do without him." she smiled. She loved her brother, the two were almost always seen together growing up. It wasn't until recently that the twins actually spent some time away from each other for a while it seemed.

"It's good you support each other so much," he mused in reply. "Everyone needs someone to do that." Kaito leaned back, laying on the ground with Ayumu's head still in his lap. The grass poked at his head through his mane of blue hair, stiff and prickly as always around this time or year. The Tora played with a few strands on blonde hair, humming the tune to q catchy rock song.

"You're right." Ayumu agreed, closing her eyes and just enjoying the moment. "I love being there for him, it's like second nature to me." That and painting were practically all she ever knew for the longest time, not that she minded it. It just felt nice to have a little more time now to do something else for once.

"Hm," Kaito murmured, leaning back and closing his eyes as well. He exhaled slowly, taking in the various sounds the danced around the soccer field. A cool breeze flew through the grass, zipping around the bleachers and toying with the Tora's messy blue hair. He blinked, looking up at the clear blue sky.
