Lynn trotted into the movie theater, though as far as she knew, for tonight it was more like a broadcasting building. It was one of the rare times that the building wasn't showing the newest film, instead, the people had unearthed some ancient cartoons. Circa 1980 up to the early 2000s. The blue haired Ookami had thought it was a wonderful idea to go see the showings. She liked the appeal of cartoons, they were childish and funny and let one escape from reality for awhile.
She always felt strangely empty after seeing them, though. Lynn figured this had something to do with not being able to solve everyone's problems as easily as it could be done in the fifteen minutes of moving images.
Currently, the thirteen (almost fourteen now, she inwardly cheered) year old clanmember was waiting for the doors to open from the lobby to the seats. She had been a bit early because she wanted to get a good view of the showings. She watched more and more people file in, some milling about, some heading to grab snacks, and a few others chatting amiably. Lynn was just a bit too shy to approach anyone and start a conversation, and she hoped that someone she knew would walk in. Even a more outgoing person just randomly talking to her would be nice...

Desiree was waiting somewhat patiently for the doors to open for the showings that night. She felt odd not carrying her guitar around, but she didn't think the staff there would appreciate her bringing in the instrument and causing a disturbance like last time.
The brunette started tapping her feet on the floor, starting to get a impatient as the time passed. She didn't mean to get their so early, but there wasn't anything else to do and she had decided to just go ahead and come.
Dezzy looked around to try to find something to pass the time. She used up what little money she had to be able to get her ticket in, but she didn't have enough for food. She didn't have anything to use as an instrument either like she normally would with a couple of pencils and books for "drums". This only left her with the choice of finding someone to talk to...
Just as this thought came to mind, she spotted a little blue headed girl that seemed kinda shy. The young musician decided to give it a try and see if she could open conversation. "You here to see the oldies too?" she asked casually.

Lynn managed to restrain a jump in surprise as someone approached her. Well, hadn't that been exactly what she was hoping for? Maybe today was her lucky day! She vaguely wondered if the same trick would work if she hoped for a pair of wings. It was silly, but Lynn still wanted a pair.
She smiled and nodded, deciding that if she had asked for someone to talk to then she really should talk. "Yeah, they're fun and I thought it would be something good to do before school starts up again." Which would be in only a few more days. Three, if she recalled correctly. She blinked and extended her hand. "Oh, um, I'm Lynn."

Desiree grinned and shook Lynn's hand. "Desiree, you can call me whatever though." People normally called her Dez or Dezzy, which honestly she thought sounded a lot cooler than Desiree.
The brunette tilted her head a little. "So you're still in school?" she asked. "A lot of people I know dropped out when they got in the clans." she looked at Lynn's wrist and noticed they were in the same clan.

Lynn nodded. "Yeah, I'm going into ninth grade, and I want to be a psychiatrist or a nurse so I need to go to school." She really couldn't afford to drop out. Not if she wanted to help people like she knew she could. Besides, although Middle School kinda stunk, she knew that it got better in High School, people matured at least a little when they got over the initial rush of hormones. "What do you plan to do, Dezzy?" The nickname sort of slipped out, but it fit the other Ookami.

Desiree nodded along at Lynn's explanation, grinning again when the question was asked. "Me? Probably what I'm doin' already; I'm a musician." I said, proud. "I'm obviously not a big time celebrity or anything, but I do get money off it from time to time." she shrugged. "Plus, it's what I love so I couldn't think of doing anything else." Sure it sounded a little irresponsible of the Ookami, but seriously, who ever said she cared?

Lynn clasped her hands together. Wow! A musician? She hadn't really met one before, not as far as she knew, anyway. "You are?" She asked, excitement temporarily freeing her from the potentially crippling shyness that usually pervaded her conversations. "What instrument do you play?" She was hazarding a guess at guitar or base, but that was just judging from Dezzy herself.

Desiree could feel her grin growing wider, she liked this sort of attention when she was talking about her music. "Drums and practically anything with strings." Well, harp she wasn't too sure about, but her dad had always said as long as you knew guitar pretty well bass and anything else related to the instrument could be picked up in a snap. "I also sing a little, but not too much." she laughed. It wasn't that she was a bad singer, it was just hard for her to focus on singing and playing her instruments at the same time. She could only do it with a couple of songs so far, but she was working on it.

Lynn gave a small noise of awe before she managed to snap out of it and cut it off. She loved music in all its forms. She dabbled, granted, but plunking out 'Row Row Row Your Boat' on the piano didn't have nearly as much glamor as guitar and drums and base so she didn't do it much. "That's so amazing..." She said with a smile. "And I bet you have a nice voice." Just hearing her talk was pleasant, so there was little doubt in Lynn's mind that Dezzy was great at it.

The older Ookami laughed a little. "Well, I don't like to brag..." she trailed off, still laughing to herself a little. Ahhh, the attention felt good, it actually wasn't too often that a person was so in awe of her talents.
"So what about you?" she asked. "What kinda stuff do you like to do and all?"

Lynn flushed lightly as the attention was directed back at her. "Well... not much... I wander and I read a lot and I hang out with my boyfriend... and..." She thought for a moment, trying not to seem so boring. It didn't work and she sighed. "And that's really it..." She needed to do more fun stuff, or get a really exciting hobby or something.

Desiree nodded along, finding Lynn's shyness to actually be adorable. "Boyfriend, huh?" she asked with a grin. "What's he like?" Maybe talking about him could get her up and excited again like when they were talking about her music.

Lynn blushed and gave a small smile, fiddling with her finger. "He's very sweet, and funny too. He duels and he'd teaching me how to... He's also very very brave." The Kuma had mentioned something about a psychopath named Hana when Lynn had stumbled across him at the amusement park a few weeks ago. Apparently Mike was sort of under the Puppetmaster's thumb, or at least he had been. The bluenette had been sure that she had seen something about the girl's capture on the news... though that could have just been wishful thinking.
