Matsuda tried to hold in any sort of expression when he heard Aiden repeat Hotaru's name. Okay, he had to admit that was a dumb move on the blond Ookami's part. He had to be more careful.
He shrugged a little when Locke mentioned not knowing his sister. "Oh well, thought you'd know her." he replied, keeping the topic of the redhead at that. He couldn't risk Aiden remembering something about Hotaru, that would NOT be good.

Locke was rather pleased with how the new guy was acting. He seemed to know to keep his mouth shut about all this nonsense, without the need for threats. Maybe if he ran into that blonde woman who had been in there before, he could give her a few pointers discretion.

Aiden briefly wondered when the doctor would get there, already dismissing this 'Hotaru' person as no one important. She didn't seem that important anyhow, and right now all he could really go on was instinct and a gut feeling. Right now his gut was telling him to forget about Hotaru and focus on being able to walk again. If he was a fighter like Locke had said (and the various wounds seemed to prove her point more and more with each passing minute, damn they hurt...) then getting back on his feet was important.
Of course... he didn't really remember HOW to fight...
He sighed and ran a hand through his hair, managing avoid whatever bandages were wrapped around his skull. He felt tired, really tired now that he thought about it. Like he hadn't slept well in weeks. Odd... The Ookami stifled a yawn and blinked slowly. Not sleeping well in weeks sounded about right now that he thought about it, but why?

The blond sighed lightly, taking a quick glance back at Aiden before looking at a near by wall, he would have felt awkward staring at someone when they weren't even talking. He himself was wondering when a doctor would come in, wasn't that what that other girl went to go look for? He wanted something to break the awkward silence, but he couldn't come up with a decent thing to bring up. If Aiden couldn't remember he use to play instruments then music would probably be out of the question...
"Hey, Aiden." he spoke up finally, feeling stupid for not bringing this up before the silence came. "Do you remember anything about playing instruments, or has anyone told you that you could?" Oh crap, what was it that Aiden had told him he could play again? He only remembered violin because of him being such a Skillet fanatic. There was another one, though... "Saxophone?" he tried, wondering if it would ring any bells in his clanmate's mind.

Aiden blinked at the question and shook his head. "I don't think so..." Another blink. Actually, maybe he did remember it a little... There was something playing at the back of his head, he wasn't sure what it was. His brow furrowed, a song, definitely a song. He decided it was something by Bruce Springsteen, though he wasn't entirely sure how he knew that.
"On second thought..." He started off again, a vague idea of what the process was to get that sound entering his head along with another song by a different band ('Yellowcard' his mind would somehow fill in again) started up with violin. "Maybe I do?" He was puzzled, but he was almost positive that if he could get hold of those instruments he could play. And probably play well. "I'm remembering something, that's for sure..."

Matsuda grinned as Aiden started recollecting a few things. "That's great!" he exclaimed, though not too loud. "Music's part of the soul, not something you can forget too easily." he pointed out, still a little happy he was able to help his friend remember something.

Locke couldn't help but grin at the two males. Clearly, they had been close before the whole amnesia thing happened. That would be good, since the new fellow was capable of keeping his mouth shut without being conspicuous. The albino even felt like she could just take a break at this point and let the latest Ookami to enter take over for a bit.

Aiden grinned at the thought, at least he remembered SOMETHING. It wasn't much but it was definitely a start and he supposed that it was better than nothing at all. "I get the feeling I was good at it... was I good at it?" Matsuda seemed close to him, he supposed, and though the question seemed a bit more hesitant he figured that asking the question couldn't hurt much. Anything to stay away from that silence.

Matsuda nodded, still smiling. He hadn't gotten to hear Aiden play himself, but he remembered Hotaru telling him about their little encounter that for once didn't result in any bloodshed. "One of the best." he assured Aiden confidently. It was what Hotaru had told him, and she was a good judge of music thanks to the many years spent around Matsuda. Not to mention that she wasn't the sort of person to compliment someone she hated unless they were in fact amazing, so he took her word for it.
"I believe you said something about not playing violin as much, but the saxophone was your favorite." he went on to tell Aiden. He chuckled to himself for a moment. "I sorta went crazy when I first found out you played violin though, the kinda stuff you can pull off with those are awesome."

Aiden gave a shrug. "I remember that much, I think." A nudging of another memory, he grabbed at it instantly, trying to free it. "...Skillet. You're a Skillet fan or something. You were spazzing about them when I told you." He couldn't remember the entirety of what they had been talking about though, or much else about anything around that time (it was like pulling out that tidbit had locked off everything else in that area, really). A tad annoying but he was sure that he'd remember it in time.

Matsuda's eyes widen slightly, making him laugh a little more. "That's right." he told him, excited that he was picking up on some memories about the two of them. "I'm a hopeless Skillet fanatic, that was one of many moments." he grinned like he was five. After another short moment he gave Aiden a curious look. "Remember anything else?" he asked.

Aiden shook his head. "Try something else, maybe that'll get it all started again." Though he hoped the result to the new mental trails wouldn't be a mental iron door to the face like this one.

Matsuda tried thinking of something or someone that might jog his memory in a good way. "...How about Madoka?" he asked. "She's in the same clan as us, brown hair, blue eyes, addicted to Dr Pepper. She thought a lot of you, you even claimed her as your little sister." He hoped Aiden remembered her, maybe he could help 'Doka snap out of her new found insanity if he did.

Aiden furrowed his brow in thought. There was a murmur at the back of his mind, pointing him back towards the slammed mental door. And perhaps earlier, something about a forest and a book? "She was around when I was talking with you about the violin, right?" Just a guess, but he wasn't sure if Matsuda would know anything about the book or the forest.

Matsuda nodded and decided to help him out a little. "We were here, at the hospital. She was asleep at the time when we were taking about that." He wasn't sure whether to smile or frown at the memory at this point. "She had almost died, but you brought her to the hospital just in time. You saved her life." he hoped to heaven that Aiden would remember something about that. "She really misses you, you're the closest thing to a brother she's ever had." He figured that SOME of that fit he had seen 'Doka in was because of stress from not knowing about how Aiden was doing.
