Kage moved a little, so as to have room to remove the fork embedded just to the right of his head. The utensil could then be seen spinning right-side-up on the giant's pointer before it was set down in front of Jack again.
"At least he's acting like your brother, and not his own," offered the eldest Tora with a shrug. "I mean hell, Aiden's scary, even after the fact. After the initial shock, however, that" Kage gestured at the holes in his seat. "was just kinda sorta awesome."

Tekka chuckled, glad that Kage wasn't scarred by her more reasonable brother. She look a large gulp of her milkshake, knowing full well it meant she'd have to order a smaller meal, but not really caring either way. The Wok made KILLER milkshakes and she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to have one.
Jack grinned and took the fork back, tongue poking out to the side as he kept it spinning for about three or four seconds before he had to rescue it from a plunge to its untimely death. "You tend to pick up a few things around my brother, but you're right, Matsuda is definitely a better guy to sound like." He blinked and glanced at the holes in the seat. "Think management'll notice?" He really didn't feel like having to deal with a manager from hell, he was already getting his application for the school's music teacher scrutinized, he didn't need anything on his criminal record when he was trying to get an extra job.

Hotaru giggled. "Guess you're right." she said, commenting about the Aiden vs. Matsuda comparison. "And I think as long as we pretend it didn't happen we should be good." she grinned a little more.

Kage grinned back at Jack and unrolled his own silverware. Within seconds, he had all three pieces spinning in a circle between his hands.
"There's a trick to it, Mr. Atlas," informed the giant. At that moment, Molly walked over to ask once again for their orders, but was stopped in her tracks as she beheld the little silverware dance.
"OhmyBob..." she muttered, kneeling so as to watch the display at eye level. After a couple minutes, the raven-haired woman cleared her throat and stood up again. "Um... anyway, are you ready to order yet?" Kage looked down at his spinning utensils and then back up at Molly.
"Why yes, yes I am," replied the Tora. "I'll have a double bacon cheeseburger and an order of the chili-cheese steak fries, please." He wished he could just order for Tekka; it was probably what he should be doing, since she was his date. However, the fact that Kage didn't know what the blonde would want, combined with the fact that she'd probably rather eat napkins than be ordered for kept him from attempting such a thing.

Tekka gave a grin. "A cheese burger and some french fries. The thick kind." Were those steak fries? Tekka didn't eat out quite enough to know.
Jack rolled at the Altas comment, like he hadn't heard that one a million times. He shrugged to Molly. "I'll have a steak, cooked medium please." The Wok made good meat, he had to give their chef that at least.

Hotaru didn't have to think for too long, she was actually kinda sick of the Wok's food at the given moment, having to serve it on a daily basis and all. "I don't want anything." she insisted, deciding to stick to her drink for the time being. She'd just get something to eat when she got home.
Molly wrote the other three orders down and smiled kindly to them. "Okay, they've be right out." she said, heading off to the kitchen and leaving the couples to themselves once again.

In a single movement, Kage snatched the spoon from his silverware and moved his hands apart, causing the fork and knife to go to either side and lay more or less perfectly straight. He dipped the spoon into the malt, confirming its expected extra thickness. After ingesting a large spoonful of the treat (and a bit of brain freeze), the giant laughed.
"Crazy waitress, huh?" he asked. "I almost thought she was gonna faint for a second there."

Tekka chuckled. "That's what happens when you use fancy tricks Kage, people get distracted and bedazzled." She took another huge gulp of her milkshake. She had managed to become completely immune to milkshake-induced brainfreeze, so there was no worry about that.
Jack simply leaned back in his seat at the booth, taking a thankful gulp of the rootbeer. "Out of curiosity, how did you manage to get us free lessons? Satoru didn't exactly seem like the type to wanna give 'em out at no cost." And if the soreness in his skull was any indicator, he was absolutely right about that.

Hotaru took a sip out of her soda, setting it down a moment later. "Oh yeah, never heard how you knew 'Toru anyway, Kage." she decided to add. "Work with him or somethin'?" she asked, tilting her head slightly.

Kage nodded toward Hotaru, but a lot of his attention was focused on the amazing milkshake-ingesting Tekka, who had somehow managed to avoid brain-freeze.
"Actually, Hotaru," began the giant. "You're pretty much right on the money. I'm sure you all have seen my flyers around the city, right?" Without any further ado, Kage told them the tale of Cort, as well as some side anecdotes about where he had gotten his aim and speed from ((OOC: See Gunslinger Basics at the amusement park to actually get the info)).

Tekka chuckled. "Sounds like fun, you were seriously hallucinating though? No joke?" She found this bit of the story rather difficult to believe, of course, that was probably because she had only ever heard of it happening in cartoons.
Jack just grinned. "And you made a Mario-Shroom too? I wonder if he's kept it, just for the laughs."

Kage nodded at Tekka and tapped his throat three times.
"I set my watch and warrant on it," answered the giant. "I was, in my mind, aiming a French fry at a cheeseburger and trying to hit the pickle. The fact that ol' Cort was a bowl of chili actually made me almost suffocate from laughter." He looked at Jack and gave him a dry smile. "Mina'd be the one to keep the Mushroom target. Since when does Satoru do anything for the lulz?"

Hotaru just smiled and laughed occasionally as the conversation went on. She wasn't in much of a talking mood at the moment, she wasn't sure why. She just didn't feel like talking all that much, and in a way, it made her feel like an outsider. The grey eyed Tora was good at hiding it though, never frowning once and taking a few more sips of her soda. She kept her smile, listening to the three continue to exchange words and such.

Tekka nodded. "You're right, though I bet he does SOMETHING, everyone has a hobby and a funny bone." Of course, some people's jobs were their hobbies and some funny bones could be broken.
Jack took note of Hotaru's silence and took hold of her hand under the table, smiling at her.

Kage took a huge gulp from his malt and tapped the spoon against his upper lip in thought. Somehow, the giant thought he was possibly gleaning a resistance to brain-freeze from his girlfriend. He shrugged; weirder things had happened.
"I guess I just never got to know Cort that well," commented Kage. "We met, I worked for him. got to know Mina and Egil, but Toru didn't seem to be interested in palling around..." It was a damn shame, too. He seemed like a pretty decent person to spend time with.
