Kage suddenly grinned as one of his face-downs turned into a swirling fractile of light that absorbed the purple gem he controlled.
"During your End Phase, I activate the Trap Card known as Crystal Raigeki!" the giant called. "By sending my Amethyst Cat's jewel to the Graveyard, I can use its energy to destroy your Field Barrier!" The dome of light that kept the rotting world in place dissolved as Kage drew his next card. "Next, I think I'll exterminate your Zombie World by playing my own Field Spell... Ancient City - Rainbow Ruins!" In an instant, the decay and darkness of Mike's advantageous terrain had given way to the enormous colosseum that was where the Crystal Beasts called home. "Next, I'll Set a monster in Defense Mode." A sideways blue rectangle appeared in front of the vertical card and the orange gem. "With that, my turn ends, Mike. Your move."

Michael didn't react at all to his cards being destroyed. "Hope you know Zombie World is gonna make a comeback but first I draw." Michael drew his next card and grinned. "I active Twister by taking five hundred points of damage I can remove your field spell. Next I active my face down card Book Life. It let's me Summon Pyramid Turtle back to my field and remove one of your monsters from play. Bye bye Face down Monster."

Kage shook his head sadly and jabbed a finger at his Field Card slot.
"Don't you do the research... ever?" he asked, his expression bored. "Your Twister card doesn't work because of my Ancient City's effect. You see, as long as there's a Crystal Beast in my Spell and Trap Card Zone, your card effects can't do squat. I'll letcha keep your 500 Life Points, though. Also, my face-down isn't gone because Book of Life removes a monster from my Graveyard." Honestly, how much failure could be contained in one human body?
