Jane stood on the edge of on of the railings that lined the tower, looking out over the city. The lights of various buildings glowed softly against the horizon as the blurred redish twilight gave way to stars. Needless to say this wasn't the safest thing to do, but seeing as how the blond had relatively good balance she wasn't concerned.
With her white skirt fanning out in front of her and her arms folded neatly behind her back she looked out over the city, legs spread out across the rail. She hummed a tune and bobbed her head to an inaudible beat. From behind she may have looked like a crazy person getting ready to jump, but once someone got a look at her face they would clearly see otherwise. Though either way her sanity was questionable.

Desiree hurried to get a good spot at the tower, guitar in its case on her back. On such a good night like this, the music obsessed Ookami loved to go as high up as she could to the sky and get inspiration for a song or two. Most of the time it would just be songs she'd heard before, but other times, which she hoped to have almost every night, were original songs that eventually stuck to her like glue.
When she go to her normal spot at the tower, however, she saw another girl, a little too close to falling if she said so herself. "Er... You okay?" she asked, a little hesitant on going too close or anything.

Jane turned slightly, glancing over at the person who had come up behind her. She'd heard the light footsteps approaching, but had managed to ignore them up until now.
"Perfectly fine," she responded with a smile, brushing her bangs out of her face. Jane turned back towards the stars, observing them for another moment before stepping down from the rail. "And you? How are you on this fine night?"

Desiree relaxed a little more when the girl stepped off the rail, and gave a friendly grin to her a moment later. "Pretty good, though i didn't expect to see anyone up here to be honest with ya." she shrugged. "But whatever." she laughed.
"Name's Desiree. Desiree Diaz." she introduced herself, still grinning. "And you would be...?" she said, leaving it open for her to say her name.

"Jane Touzoko." The little blond Ookami replied. "First name for the song 'Diary of Jane' by Breaking Benjamin and I think my last name means thief..." She paused, shaking her head before she got started on another rant again.
"It's not surprising for people to like it up here," she mused after a small moment of silence, "the quiet is a nice change of pace sometimes. I s'pose that's why your hanging around the Tower?"

Desiree nodded. "I get a lotta inspiration up here with music." she explained. "That's why I like comin' up here with Sara Jo right here." she said, pointing to her guitar. She had named the guitar after a song by a musician name Jonny Diaz. Whether she was of relation to him or not she didn't know, but she loved his music either way.

Jane smiled. "I never had my own instruments, but I used the high school's a lot. I still love music, but the only thing I have is my voice really." The Ookami shrugged, still perky although her golden eyes were filled with longing.

Desiree blinked. "So you sing?" she asked, a grin starting to spread across her lips. "Wanna duet or something?" she asked. "or you can just sing and I'll play, your choice." she shrugged. She could sing, no doubt about it, she just seemed more at home just playing her instruments.

"A duet sounds awesome." The Ookami chirped, cocking her head to the side. "What kinds of songs do you know?"

Desiree stopped for a moment to get her guitar out. "All sorts, dad's a musician, so I grew up around it all my life." she played a few chords to warm up and continued. "But I suppose I'm more of a rock kind of person. You?" she asked Jane.

"Same." She replied, rubbing the back of her head with a meek smile. "I wish I could say something half-decent about my dad..." Having realized she'd said that out loud, Jane immediately flushed, turning her cheeks a soft rosy pink. She laughed lightly, trying to blow off the statement.

Desiree looked at Jane after the statement about the girl's dad. The guitarist grinned slightly, looking a little more sincere. Just a little. "Don't worry, I won't ask." she assured her, going back to little Sara Jo for a moment.
"So, Jane, got a favorite band? I probably know them." she said without looking up.

"Tokio Hotel." Jane answered simply. That certainly was never changing. "Though I've listened to every band under the sun, and it's hard for me to find anything I don't like." Which was certainly different than some people she'd known- rockers who hated pop singers just because it was pop, and peeps who avoided metal because it was "scary sounding". Jane had always found them to be the most amusing.

Desiree laughed a little. "Yeah, same here, except I'm more of a Three Doors Down fan." she explained. "Anywho!" she grinned, playing one more chord on her guitar. "Got a song you'd like to play, my friend?"

((ooc: Whoops, sorry about that, I didn't notice my IPod had me logged in under the wrong person ^^ ) After a brief moment of thinking, Jane came up with a decent sounding song that didn't need a whole entourage of instruments to accompany it. "Do you know the song Rescue Me?" The Ookami asked inquisitively, humming a bit of the tune under her breath.
