"I know," Tekka said with a small smile. "But they get such a bad rep just 'cause they're scary looking... the first thing people assume is that they're bad." She turned to the Green Herald. "Thank you, by the way." She wasn't as used to comfort from anyone vaguely feminine, and monsters were no exception. Dark Necrofear wasn't particularly motherly either, so...
Still, the teen appreciated the gesture.
"So," She started up again, grinning. "Moving away from my slightly depressing moment there, why were you wearing sunglasses in a dimly lit nightclub anyhow?" She repressed a giggle at this one, as she wasn't sure why the question hadn't arisen until now.

"I dont think they're scary!" Purple shouted from across the dance floor then hovered quickly to join the conversation. It was funny, as it went alittle to fast and tried to apply the brakes in mid air, which would be a futile effort. It clearly overshot its destination and phased through a wall. Popping back in, all it had to say was "I meant to do that!" The voice of Purple was a sort of man's voice that was in his teens, yet it echoed like he was in a tunnel. Zolanius simply shook his head.
"To answer the question, miss, I am an o-" "Obvious freak! HA! But I'm joking. He's cool." "....As I was saying, I'm an observer. You can learn much by watching and waiting, and not actually doing. But in these troubled times, one would be uncomfortable knowing that somebody is watching them. You see, I know how to talk by reading and listening reactions. So to avoid suspition, I keep my eyes hidden from the world. Heh... and I think I'm rather stylish, wouldn't you say?" He paused for a moment, then chuckled. "You don't have to answer that. Pardon my lame jokes." "HA! Yeah, you'd think he'd learn better humor from me!"

Tekka chuckled. "Very stylish." She gave Zolanius a wink. "Never apologize for a joke, Zol. Ever." Not even if it was terrible. "It's kinda counterproductive if you do." The girl chugged the last of her soda and shot it at a wastebasket like a basketball. It went in and hit the bottom with a clatter. "Ten points!" She cheered.

He shifted his eyes away from the wink while wearing his shades once again. They had thin frames and were perfectly round circles, black tinted and reflecting the lights of the club off the surface. While Tekka was distracted by the sport of trash disposal, Purple gave a thumbs up in his face. Zolanius shooed it away then saw the cup go into the basket.
"Ten points? Is it not two points? I don't play many sports..." "I call foul! She cheated! Check for drugs!" This time around, Zolanius couldn't help but laugh. Orange floated back smoothly and hovered in place. "Can we go now?" "I'm having some fun here, Orange. You should too!"
"Miss King, do you have family?" "It is common for immediate family to be able to see spirits." "Why do you ask, Green?" "I was just curious. Surely she knows others with kind hearts like hers!"

Tekka simply looked around shiftily at Purple's comment. "I'm clean, I swear." She chuckled nervously before being distracted by the Green and Orange Heralds. She tapped her chin.
"If you mean family, yes. Family that sees spirits? Also a yes. Kind hearted?" She waved her hand in an uncertain motion. "Eh." She returned her arms to be folded across her chest.
"Jack sees 'em, and he's got a pure-heart, but he thinks he's just seeing things. My dad can't, but my eldest brother can like Jack. He's why I'm doubting the 'only pure-hearted can see 'em' thing." She blew a stray lock of hair out of her eyes. Aiden had stopped dueling, but she had heard his monsters and him talking when they were little.

"It doesn't matter if the heart is pure. Even human most foul can see and communicate with spirits. It is up to the spirit, however, to acompany them in life. If they match in personality, or sense a connection, they will remain loyal to you, and you alone." "But it is our personal belief that those of good intentions have something in store in their lives. "We're called the Heralds of Light for a reason, you know!" "Yes, they're right. Heralds are messengers, and are knowledgeable when it come to what fate has in store." "And we're not to speak of it unless absolutly nessessary! Or did you forget the rules?"
"Oh, my. I didn't mean to overstep the lines. You are right." "D'aw, but that's no fun!" What sort of plans they had in store was shrouded in their refusal to speak up. But what they have in store will reveal itself eventually. "I'm sure you have a wonderful family. Perhaps I will meet them someday. Such is what fate decides, and what the Heralds refuse to talk about!"

Tekka gave another nervous laugh, only this time it wasn't for dramatic effect. "If you run into an Ookami named Aiden, he's my bigger brother, than you may want to run in the opposite direction or hide." She seemed to be zoning. "The bastard'll break your arms easy, and he won't regret it..." Hell, Tekka now carried a gun on her at all times. She didn't know how to properly USE it yet, but that would be solved in the next few days if all went according to plan.

Upon hearing Tekka's "warning" about he older brother, Zolanius couldn't help but snicker. Zolanius is never intimidated by another person, no matter how malicious they are. "My, oh my. How utterly frightening this Aiden seems to be!" He spoke with an air of sarcasm in his voice. "What does it matter if he's no regrets, nor compassion, nor soul? It doesn't worry me, so much as it should'nt!" "Oh, listen to this big guy!" "But I mean it! Such threats are little more than babble to me."
Zolanius turned and leaned on the bar. "I don't mean to say I don't believe you, and that I am worried. But what will be, will be! If I should so happen to meet this Aiden, it wouldn't bother me in the slightest." "Fortunatly, this is the truth. He will never faulter unless unless he has something important to do. Come to think of it, this could be a bad thing..."

"Purple's got a bit of a point, Zol. He put his own little brother in the hospital and shown no remorse." Tekka sighed. "Of course, it's your neck you're risking, I can't stop ya." She gave him a stern look. "But if you come across him in a foul mood, don't come crying to me if your face becomes the newest attraction in Ripley's Believe It Or Not." She hadn't really intended for her mood to get consumed by that, and shook her head to clear it.
