Egil thrust his arm in between the pair of brawling girls and kept if straight, managing only a slightly-awkward clothesline to send Hotaru flying with a sore stomach again. He stood at the ready now, Hotaru would probably charge again.

Eva stood back to her feet, wipping off a little blood from her lip. Nothing too bad for the older woman. She watched, ready, as Hotaru stood back up, holding onto her stomach a little.
"C'mon, Hotaru, that's really the best ya got?" Eva asked her, almost acussingly. "Can't even protect your man, i bet." she paused. "Like you couldn't protect Greg."
The brunette charged after the two, deciding to go after Egil first this time, no matter how much she wanted to strangle Eva then. She could hardly do anything to Eva without Egil coming in anyway. When she got close enough she slid down to knock his legs out from under him. Somewhere in the back of her mind she knew Eva was just doing this to get her to fight, but that thought never processed it way through her mind completely. Funny what rage can do to a person.

Egil tumbled backwards, caught a little off guard by the speed and ferocity of the attack. He was unable to catch himself in time to assist Eva, and he swore again in his native tongue as he watched it unfold.

Eva didn't waste the opportunity and quickly stomped her foot into Hotaru's stomach. The brunette, however, grabbed the other girl's ankle to try throwing her off. Her stomach was killing her at this point, too many hits in the same spot, she could feel her scars opening up again.
When Hotaru finally got back up, she sprang forward and tried to land a few puches on Eva, though the blond was able to dodge them. In return though, Eva wasn't able to land a hit on Hotaru, either. They were pretty much equally matched at that point, but Eva, of course, still wasn't pleased.
"I think I know why you're trying so hard to get me to shut up." she told her. "You don't wanna admit I'm right. Just face it, no one loves you, not with the rep you've got! Jack's prolly just using you, he'll just end up turning you into the cops in the end. or maybe he's secretly working with Aiden in this whole thing in an attempt to kill you? Gain your trust an' all then strike you where it hurts the most."
That was it. Hotaru lunged forward too fast for Eva to avoid and hit her with all she had. A few punches to the stomach and throat, followed by grabbing her arm and hurling her across the room. "Jack's NOT like that!! No matter what you say, he's not that kind of person!" she yelled at the top of her lungs. She felt too tired to do much of anything else. Her breathing was harder and more shallow.

Egil simply watched it go on, not feeling the need to interfere at the moment. Besides, there wasn't a very good opportunity to jump in. Instead, the giant Swede stood and waited, plucking Eva from the ground after she careened into the wall. He placed her on her feet again and turned to Hotaru, not entirely sure what to do.

Eva nodded at Egil as he helped her up. "Thanks." she told him, putting a hand over her throat to rub it for a moment. She was grinning, beginning to like Hotaru's progress. Though the grin only pissed the brunette off even more.
"What's with that grin?" she asked Eva, still glaring at her.
The blond woman's grin grew more and more, she suddenly started laughing. No one had hit her like that before! "That was great!" she cracked up.
Hotaru, who had calmed down slightly, looked at Eva oddly. You'd think that with Eva's laughing Hotaru would get even more annoyed, but it didn't. It just... puzzled her. She looked over at Egil, trying to make some sense out of everything.

"Y' did wh't she was hopin' y'd do." He explained. "G't so mad th't y'd k'ck 'er ass." And it had worked, too.

Hotaru tried to breathe a little more, listening to Egil's explaination. That was when things finally sunk into her head and she started thinking clearly again. "Oh." was all she managed to say.
Eva was in her laughing fit or quite a while. When she managed to stop, she took another deep breath. "Good job, you're back at my respect level again." she told her, going back to her calmer smile. "Leader." she then added in a more respectful tone.
The brunette scratched her head and smiled, not exactly sure how to respond. "It's been years since someone's called me that..." she trailed off, not knowing what else to say. She looked over at Egil, wondering what he was thinking about all of the words going back at forth between the two women.

Egil simply gave a nod. "Gl'd t' see it's 'll b'n sor'ed out." He said. He had overheard the dealings Satoru had made with the gangs, but had never been present during them. He knew that was where the two had met up, and he was alright with it. After all, they were still people, and while he had never been incredibly optimistic about the outcomes of a gang-member's life, he was willing to make an exception in the case of Hotaru. She was nice enough, and certainly had a lot of support. "So," He began again. "Y' feelin' 'p t' where y'll be able t' take th's guy down?"

Hotaru shrugged. "Let's hope so." she said with a grin. Eva gave Hotaru a look.
"No hope 'bout it, I've got a rep here to keep." she reminded her. "If my own student can't beat a psycho people won't take me seriously anymore."
Hotaru nodded. "I know, but now that I think about it, I've got one disadvantage that's messed me up a lot lately." she looked down at her stomach. "My scars are too sensitive to last in a fight with him, I think they're opening up right now, even." she tapped her stomach for a moment and flinched. "Yeah, they're open alright." she confirmed, grinning uneasily.

Egil blinked then tapped his chin in thought. "I mi' have sum'thin' t' help if y' wan' it..." He trailed off, waiting for a response. Sometimes homemade cures worked a bit better than the hospital, especially since Hatsu Itonami didn't seem to have the best medical facilities he had seen. Good? Sure. But he had seen better.

Hotaru smiled at Egil's words. "That'd be great!" she said cheerfully."Whatever it is, I'd love to try it."
Eva looked a little worried when Hotaru mentioned the scars. "The fire messed you up that bad?" she asked her, somewhat shocked.
The brunette shrugged. "You get use to it, I guess." she assured her. "It's better than when I was first put in the hospital from it, after all."
The blond nodded. "Yeah..." she remembered that night clearly. Greg had drug Hotaru out of the fire, but it was near impossible to tell it was her with all the soot and burnt marks covering her. That was a night Eva would never forget; if she ever found the ones responsible for that fire, she'd rip them to shreds.

Egil nodded. "Wai' h're." He said, heading out of the room and down the hall faster than one would think he would. He returned perhaps a few minutes later with a small unmarked container filled with a strong herbal-scented cream. He handed it over to Hotaru. "'S n't much, b' it's 'n ol' trea'men' fr'm h'me." There had been several fires before his family had died in one, all around town. His town had developed a good remedy for the residual scars and whatnot. "It shou'd help if y' p't 't on y'r scars."

Hotaru took the container and nodded before turning around a little. She rose her shirt up just enough to show just the scars that were starting to open on her stomach. Opening the container and getting a little at a time to put on it, she tried not to flinch too much. Good thing these weren't near as bad as the ones on her back, that trip to the hospital had been torture.
After a few moments she could feel her scars start to feel a little better already. "Wow." she muttered, putting her shirt back down and handing the container to Egil. "That stuff's amazing, thanks." she said to him.

Egil shook his head. "Keep 't. I kno' how t' m'ke more o' it. 'Sides, y' need it more 'n me." He had a feeling that the scars would be opening up more in the future, and he was careful enough to never have needed to use any of it himself. It only made sense that Hotaru kept it.
