Egil nodded complacently and beckoned the Tora's to follow him. "'F y' don' min' me askin'," The Ookami said after a moment. Curiosity overriding shyness for once. "How'd y' win' up wit' a madman on y'r tail?" He asked as the drink machine and water fountain appeared just around the corner.

Hotaru walked up to the water fountain, taking a few moments to drink a little out of it before responding to his question.
"Well, the madman, as Eva put it, is my boyfriend's big brother." she began. "He decided he didn't like me when I first met him, put me and my boyfriend in the hospital the same day, too." she tried keeping her anger under control when she explained that part. "He's now set on killing me and has already proven he won't hesitate to do so." she ended with.
Eva shook her head in disbelief as Hotaru told the story. "And to think I kissed the guy..." she muttered. The brunette shot her head at Eva, a 'What the fuck?' kind of expression clear on her face. The blonde laughed nervously and scratched her head. "I was drunk!" she explained, as if that would say it all.

Egil blinked. "...Soun's demen'ed." The Swede said after a moment, and simply smiled at Eva's confession. It was rather funny, and a little confusing. The situation in general, he meant. But that didn't mean much, he didn't need to understand it all. He needed to just help train Hotaru and send them on their way. He'd be a second line of defense if needed, he decided.

Hotaru nodded at Egil's comment, still more than a little suprised by what Eva had said. That was just.... disturbing. Then again, that was porbably due to the fact that she didn't really like Aiden and Eva was practically a sister to the girl. Yeah, that was it.
A light blush was on Eva's face as she cleared her throat a little. "Anyway..." she began in order to change the subject. "I think you see why I made you do what you did in there now." she told Egil. "Hotaru's gotta be prepared for the worst." The brunette nodded at this, agreeing to what Eva was saying completely.

Egil nodded. "I get it." He said, glancing around before kicking the drink machine to let a can of Mountain Dew fall out. He grabbed it and took a drink, "didn' like doin' 't tho'gh." He said after a gulp of the drink.

"Still," Hotaru told him. "it pushed me closer to where I needed to be." she looked over at Eva again and saw her expression. She looked like she was in deep thought. "Ev'? You okay?"
The blond jolted her head up at them, a little startled. "Yeah, just thinkin' 'bout some other methods for your training an' all..." she trailed off, thinking about one way in particular. It would have to wait a few hours at least, unless Satoru's Guns 101 class ended soon(which she highly doubted), but it could very well be a better trigger than when she had Egil choke her...
Hearing that little comment brought chills up Hotaru's spine. Eva always knew the right buttons to push on a person to get what she wanted from them fighting wise. It scared her to think about what she had in mind at that moment.

Egil winced at the thought. Eva had already had Hotaru pushed to her physical limits (or so he thought, the giant wasn't sure what her limits were for certain) so she was probably going to push the Tora's emotional or mental limits to tap into a sort of inner strength.
Or maybe the blond was overthinking and the woman was talking about more things hitting people. That might be the case as well.

While thinking, one thing lead to another and Eva's mind came up with an even better way to push Hotaru enough to bring out more strength. It'd be a good way for her to let out on this one topic herself, too.
Keeping this idea tucked safely into her head, Eva walked over to the drink machine, kicking it and getting a Dr. Pepper out and getting a drink out of it. "So, Egil," she said, looking over at him. "Tell us about yourself, if you don't mind. How long ya been workin' with 'Toru and all?"

Egil seemed almost startled that the women (or Eva at least) were seemingly interested in him. He hesitated before beginning. "S'nce I got t' th' city. I met 'im on a trip h're durin' m' t'me 'n th' mil'tary." He paused. "Th'n wh'n I m'ved 'ere, 'e off'red m' a job. I've sor'a stuck aroun' I guess."

Hotaru grinned slightly when Egil mentioned the military. "So is that how you learned how to fight?" she asked him. "Or did someone else teach you?" she tilted her head slightly.

He gave a shrug. "M' ol'er brother Mathias ta'ght me some, 'e ta'ght m' lil brother David too. Bu' mos' o' it I learn'd there, yes." He had also gotten basic medical training too, which had come in handy over the years. "Were a few g'd ye'rs th're." He had fond memories of his service, the army was more geared towards helping rebuild and protecting than taking over.

Hotaru smiled. "Sounds like it." she commented. "Where are you're brothers now?" she then asked him.
Eva had decided to stay quiet, thinking to herself while she let Hotaru and Egil talk. She still had a lot to put together to bring back the old Hotaru's fighting strength after all.

Egil simply looked down. "Th'y're, um...." He shut his mouth, deciding not to speak too much on this topic anymore. "D' y' h've 'ny siblin's Hot'ru?" He asked, trying to move the focus away from himself.

Hotaru frowned, but decided not to push it any further. "Yeah, I got a big brother, Matsuda and a little sister, Naomi. I don't talk to my sister anymore though." she shrugged. "We're not that close."
Eva laughed. "'Least you're not the youngest of six..." she muttered, sounding annoyed. "Worst fifteen years of my life, I tell ya."

Egil blinked. "Y' di'n' like yer siblings?" he questioned incredulously. He would do almost anything to get his brother's back (short of murder, that was. Mathias hadn't taught him to fight to do that). "Wh' not?"
