Aiden wondered briefly how far the analogy had run from its original course. "You're a fairly well-spoken kid when you're serious." He commented. "But I think after this, that mask isn't going to fit as well and that river's going to draw more attention than you want, " Yup, the analogy had gone wild. "You won't be thought of as strong, more like you'll be thought of as insane." He held up a finger. "Or just get out now while you can, before you take that last step and topple."

Madoka shrugged. "So what if they think I'm insane, then? Maybe that's what I really am." she said, more to herself than Aiden. "Tell you the truth, I've kept this up for so long I don't even know what I'm really like anymore." It was sad, but true. Was she this hyperactive girl like she made people thought? Was she the depressed, quiet girl she was when she was alone, or somewhere in the middle, perhaps? She had no clue.
"So unless you can find an answer to that for me, I doubt I can quit the mask just yet, whether it's obvious I'm hiding something or not."

Aiden shook his head. "Don't think anyone can answer that one for you, you're gonna have to find out for yourself. Act how you wish to act, the only advice I really have is that killing yourself is kind of a waste." The Ookami leaned back in his chair and yawned. That was really the only thing keeping him from real true nuthouse-bound insanity, the fact that he needed to live.

Madoka nodded. "Guess you're right." she said. She stayed silent for a while until another question about the night of her little attempt came up in her mind.
"Hey..." she started, not really knowing if she wanted to know the answer or not. "How many people saw me like that that night? ... And just how much blood was there...?" she was a little terrified to find out, but she wanted to know.

Aiden looked up in thought. "Don't know. I was the one who found you, and since it was late at night I don't know who heard the commotion or not..." He gave a shrug. "Though they've probably called whoever your guardian is. Especially now that you've woken up."

The smaller of the two muttered a few unfriendly words under her breath. "Keisko's gonna be mad..." she said. She had been on a vacation from work for a while now, so the news wouldn't have gotten to her as quickly as it would have if she was working there at the time. Good thing too, the younger Ookami did NOT wanna have to deal with that so soon.

Aiden grinned. "You thought this Keisko person would be happy about this or something?" He asked sarcastically.

Madoka shot a glare at Aiden for a moment. "Shut up." she snapped at him. "I wasn't exactly thinking when I did all of this, y'know..." she pointed out to him.

Aiden simply grinned and shook his head. "So, without thinking, you decided to stop living? That's pretty damn funny actually."

Madoka blinked a few times before trying to lean over and slap him, only ending with missing completely and slamming her already cut up arm into the side of the hospital bed she was in.
"OWW!" she shrieked out, holding onto her arm. She held back a few tears that started to collect in the corner of her eyes. She shot yet another glare back at him. "You rude-ass li--" she stopped mid-sentence when she realized she had cussed for the first time in her life. Instead of talking again, she settled for a growl at her older clan mate.

Aiden kept right on smirking and suppressed chuckles. "If you were about to say 'little,' I'm much bigger than you if you hadn't noticed." He shut his eyes and leaned back again, he'd fought blind before, and he doubted Madoka's ability to actually hit him after that pathetic display. "And rude is just part of the package."

Madoka only rolled her eyes. "It's a figure of speech, smart one." she threw back at him. "I still can't imagine you're the one that saved me." she told him straight up. "Forgive me for sounding stereotypical, but you don't strike me as a person to care much for other's well beings."

He opened his eyes to look at her. "Only when I'm causing the pain. They deserve it." He glowered slightly, not at Madoka but at a mental picture. "In any case, that's not really important, is it?"

Madoka tilted her head to the side a little, beginning to get a little curious. "And who exactly have you met that deserves it?" she asked him. "You make it sound like they hurt you pretty bad for you to wanna hurt them back."

He gave her a dubious look. "And why exactly should I tell you?" He asked. Aiden wasn't really planning on letting everyone he knew in on his small war, it was HIS for a reason and preferred to keep it that way. Especially since Madoka wouldn't really make for a good ally in a fight.
