"Hm?" was all Jeremiah had to say at first. He popped his gum and spun the pen he held between his fingers as he contemplated the Tora's question. Not that it wasn't clear, but the boyish Ookami wasn't sure if he could trust him. "Oh, it was nothing. Small talk, shootin' the breeze, chewin' the fat, curlin' a stone..." The stream of figurative speech could easily run on for a good long while. It reminded Jeremiah of the era in which he, Kage, and Joshua had stumbled upon what remained of that site called YouTube, and how they had laughed at such innane jokes as a man being called Mama Luigi.

Akio stared at Jeremiah. He then looked towards his hat. It was on the ground with bullet holes in it. He still couldn't help but smile. "I heard something involving the government." Akio's eyes slanted back towards Jeremiah, "That takes my interest as well. What was it you said?" Akio hoped he knew the answer. If there were more people against the government it would cloud his plans and let them go through hardly noticed. On the other hand, the government would be more alert to anarchy. That would be a bit of a problem, to say the least.

Satoru simply waited for the question to be answered, really, he had already asked. The Kuma would be able to get better results, after all he seemed like the type to be able to talk his way out of anything. Surely that meant he could talk this Ookami into something too.

Jeremiah stopped his ramblings when the Kuma asked him the same question again. Clearly, he was not getting out of this without some exposition. With a sigh, the young-looking Ookami began to speak.
"I have a plan to stop the war and unite the entire city by taking out the corrupt mayor and his cohorts," he began. "It's kind of a long shot, but I've always been a dreamer. Why? Be you friend, or foe?"

Akio's smile grew a bit, but it almost looked sinister. When he spoke, his voice was lowered a bit more then what it had been before, but it was still audible. "Dreamers tend to die in history." He didn't answer the friend or foe question. Instead, he paused a bit and stared directly at Jeremiah. "There is a difference between being an ally and sharing a common goal. We both want to remove the mayor, but I am going to get it done and I will be going much farther than just the mayor." His smile stayed.

Satoru looked over at the Kuma with a frown, "Please tell me you're not going to turn the city to anarchy. Please." He leveled the both of them looks. "It didn't work in New Tokyo, I doubt it'll work here." Back in his aforementioned hometown, the main government had been overthrown. Gangs had taken over the city, he would know, he had been part of one. The government had taken back power after a while though, and from what he understood it was doing a much better job then the gangs had.

Jeremiah looked at the Tora, a smile of his own showing. Unlike the Kuma's expression, Jeremiah's was calm and understanding. He knew that this would be the standard reaction of most citizens, especially once his plan was revealed.
"Not to worry, Mr. Finch," he assured the eldest of them. "Anarchy's not my game. If anything, a direct democracy would be my ultimate goal. I'm sick of the government having all the power and treating us like game pieces, y'know?" He certainly didn't like how the Kuma was talking, especially when he didn't seem to want peace.

"Neither of you know anything about a rebellion. Every rebellion ends the same I'm afraid. Perhaps you should study up on history a bit. There's a brief period of complete anarchy, then the government starts to slowly take control. To be honest, the only way to be free is to be free. I know it sounds dumb, but so many people have yet to learn that." Akio sighed. He had studied many kinds of history before, mainly the one's the government allowed people to study, but he managed to pick up a few uncensored stories. He knew how this whole anarchy thing was going to end, which is why he would have to keep it in its anarchy state for quite a while before letting the government retake control.

"And during the period of anarchy, how many people do you expect to die?" The dark-haired Tora asked, narrowing his eyes at the Kuma. "Not to mention that history can consider decades of anarchy as a 'short period of time.' There has to be a better way than overthrowing the government completely. I'd rather a war be fought with painless holograms than with blades and bullets." He was completely serious about that, living most of his life under gang rule had taught him plenty. Watching them fall had taught him more. No matter how controlling this government was, he'd prefer it over getting shot at daily.

Jeremiah considered both sides of the argument and laughed. He twirled the ballpoint pen between his fingers and surveyed the notebook, checking over his notes absentmindedly as he prepared his own side of things.
"But why not fight a war with real monsters?" the boyish Ookami put in. "I'm talking the entire city, united as one army, with certain members elected among us to be the new government. Sure, some'll get hurt, but we can finally continue to rebuild the city the way it was meant to be rebuilt."

"Real monsters?" Akio raised an eyebrow, ignoring the Tora member. Wars couldn't be won with painless holograms because neither side would except defeat. War would break out, it was an inevitability. "If you can find a way to make real monsters I'll join you in a heart beat." Akio chuckled a bit, the idea was so perplexed. Sure at one time documents stated that monsters were 'real', but they were just documents. There was no proof to truly back it up.
Akio's hand went towards his deck as it hovered over the three wickeds and the three lords. He just needed to find those damn last 3 gods and he'd be able to win any duel. Just 3 more cards...how hard could it be?

Satoru noted that he was being ignored and sighed, waiting for the Ookami to speak. "Yes," The Tora asked with a slight smirk. "Do tell." He took out a cigarette and a lighter, lighting the 'cancer-stick' (as his employees called them) and taking a deep breath as his mind wandered over to exactly how 'real monsters' would work. Unless he meant angry villagers...

Jeremiah swept his arms around, indicating the structure they were currently in. After his elaborate gesture, he backed up enough to look at both of the other men with a smirk.
"Neither of you are familiar with the term 'Enerdy', are you?" guessed the Ookami. "Y'know, the very energy that this tower generates... or rather, facilitates. I could go on and on, but let's leave it at the fact that we, or at least, we that Duel, are the ones who are powering our little chunk of Japan." This was the first time that Jeremiah had ever pitched this idea to anyone but his brother and his best friend. He had rehearsed, though, as had Kyle and Joshua. If these two men bought the pitch, he'd have that many more recruits.
