I'd like to make myself believe That planet Earth turns slowly It's hard to say that I'd rather stay Awake when I'm asleep 'Cause everything is never as it seems
'I'm sure it will always be a good day...' She could have laughed right there, how boring life would be if everyday was happy. No it would be impossible because without the bad there was no good, it would all be boring. So every once in a while Sara loved having one of those days that nothing went right.
Feeling her hair being moved out of her face made Sara look up, smile tugging at the ends of her scarlet lips. His reassuring words some how gave her a little bit more confidence.
"I would like that, a lot."
Going quiet again as he spoke, she didn't want to miss any thing he said. He was confident, Sara liked that. In fact she loved it, she hated push overs. People who get manipulated and used were weak.
"well then thats a handy card."
Kaz next set of questions knocked the happiness right out of her, instantly her face fell into a frown. It wasn't like it was some sad sob story but it was more something that hurt her deeply. Slowly taking her eyes away from his intent gaze, Sara's deep purple eyes stared at the sky.
"um well I don't really like this story, I've never told anyone."
Her voice was almost a whisper, looking back at him this time she didn't look away.
"My parents worked all the time and they brought in tons of cash but that came with a price. I never got to see them, ever. It was sad really, they weren't there for birth days or anything like that. So my deck was originally a birthday gift, they thought it would some how make up for years of neglect and hurt."
Sara was no longer sad she was angry, her fist started to ball up slightly as she continued.
" Dueling was the only way for me to take my mind off being alone, But hey it's not like I needed them anyways right?"
Emotion filled her and as her eyes began to water, only to let a single tear roll down her fair cheek. How embarrassing Sara wasn't one to cry yet when ever she thought about how lost and alone she felt she became so weak. Feeling rather stupid for crying in front of someone she just met(especially a boy) Sara looked up once again. Tiring to fake a smile, but even she could tell it sucked. The girl cleared her throat and began to speak again.
"um-ya so how about you?"

Kaz some how always had a good day, even though he never showed it. Evreytime he dueled, got into a fight or even got hurt he enjoyed all the experiences. He thought about it for a second, his noise twitched slightly indicating he was in deep thoughts, hearing her voice broke that concentration.
Kaz preferred helping those who were weak or even stop others walking all over them, he was a nice guy at times but it was hard to tell and he didn't like the idea that everyone thought of him as a goody.
Kaz kept looking at her, only to see in a second that Sara's face was a complete contrast to what it was a moment ago. Was it his question that was so hurtful? He watched her as she looked above. He listened to what she had to say, Kaz was going to say you don't have to tell him, but she started off with her story.
he listened to every detail of her story, his eyes slightly widened as she explained her life. He watched her as she got slowly but more angry. "I'm sure they loved you... know I see why your so independent and strong." Kaz noticed a tear, he was awful at comforting anyone simply because he never cared for anyone, but this girl needed the help. He placed his hand on her cheek to wipe and then dry away her tear.
"Its OK to cry...My story..." He sat back slightly and kept a calm face as if it didn't mean anything to him. "Well I lost my father when I was small, I didn't know him...My mum was always sick so I looked after her, we didn't have no time for birthdays or expensive clothes, we just needed to survive in our one room flat...I use to get bullied by every kid I met, that is till I started to defend for myself and became almost a thug...I then bought a deck with my earnings, and from there on I was attached to dueling." Kaz stayed still, he hadn't told anyone about his life, he looked away slightly.

Laughing lightly as he spoke, sure she grew stronger but she didn't get all the love she needed. Right after he did something Sara didn't except, nor did she know how to handle such emotion. As he wiped away the stray tear she caught his hand in both of hers and held it, it was more of a thank you jester. Giving it a soft squeeze she looked back up with a faint smile. Listening as he began his story Sara felt rather guilty from the start, he looked like he didn't care yet his story was way worse then her own.
Her silence was almost shocked, but she was more filled with sorrow how come all the bad things have to happen to all the good people? violet eyes stared at him, wanting to help him. Sara could tell he was hurting to he just didn't show it. Perhaps his was worse Sara never had to go through death or sickness, no she couldn't even imagine losing her parents. Yes they weren't there but hell at least she could talk to them for a minuet or so. He didn't have that.
As his history came to an end he looked away from her but she felt like she had to comfort him back. Taking one of her hands from his hand that she still held on to she gently put it on his shoulder.
" Here I am worrying about my lameness and you really have a sad history, I'm really sorry."
Sighing a bit she couldn't help but to let a few stray dark laughs out, Sara was deep in thought. Snapping out of the trans like state she opened her mouth to speak.
" at least we can be sad together, right?"

Kaz looked over to his hand as she squeezed it with both of her gentle ones, he looked up at her with a faint smile showing he didn't mind helping her out.
As he carried on looking away after telling Sara about his past, Kaz started to think about his past but in more depth, his past completely shaped him and that he would never live a normal life. Kaz didn't like to compare backgrounds, he thought that Sara's was just as worse as his, and that a young girl needs more attention then a boy.
Kaz was surprised with her next move, placing her soft hand on his shoulder to comfort him. The second she did that his shoulder tensed up as he never had people comforting him, he was sure she noticed his more tensed shoulder muscle.
Kaz looked back towards her, she was trying to comfort him but Kaz shell always was hard to break. "Its ok...I'm not even sad about it." Kaz said lightly, he still kept a calm face, not giving away anything. He smiled faintly trying to make it seem like nothing had happened, he looked directly into her violet eyes and lightly said "I guess you think less of me now..."

Pulling her hand away quickly as he tensed up,Sara felt rather stupid. After all they were complete strangers, but she couldn't help but to feel connected to him in some way. They both had rather bad pasts and some how fate aloud them to meet. As she pulled her hand away she didn't stop smiling, but something made her stop. It was his last words, but something got to her even more how could he think that of her? Those thoughts Sara even considered, her mouth slightly feel open and her eyes looked rather sad.
"NO!never, how could I possibly think less of you?"
Sara stared at him hoping he would at least turn and look back, but she would under stand if he didn't.Slightly laughing to herself, she hadn't thought about it. In some ways she was thinking the same thing but about her, she felt rather weak for exposing herself like that.
" You know I thought perhaps you would think less of me"
Still smiling yet there was sadness lacing this one, geeze why was she being so flippy? Gently placing his hands back down, she started fighting with her skirt.

Kaz watched her as she pulled her hands away from his shoulder, he lightly said "Its ok...". Kaz wasn't tense in front of strangers but the fact was he was always tense when a girl touched him or got close. Kaz looked at Sara as she explained herself, she seemed determined to show she didn't think less of him. "I don't know...I'm use to being on my own I guess." Kaz said lightly.
He was about to stand up and walk away from her, like he always did with the few people he met but he felt as he could trust her and that they connected in someway, so he stayed put. "I actually thing more better of you." Kaz said lightly, he blushed faintly at his own comment. He looked towards her hand which was fiddling around with her skirt.

" So whatcha wanna do?"
Sara's tones where almost a whisper, but she had to try to change the subject some how. Trying hard to hide her own blush at Kaz's comment before, no one had ever been so open with her. In fact no one had ever taken her seriously, it often made her mad. But she didn't feel that way with I'm, Sara felt like she could be herself around him. She didn't have to hide or act a certain way because she knew he wasn't the type to judge.
Sighing slightly she just sat waiting for him to break to awkward silence that was now creeping over the pair sitting on the bench. Suddenly Sara realized the sun was begging to set, vibrant colors began to fill the once ocean blue sky. Deep purples and reds made Sara smile. How beautiful, Shivering a bit when a slight breeze raffled her long black locks. Crossing her arms she began rubbing them in hope of trying to regain some warmth. She felt stupid for forgetting her jacket at home, so she sat shivering slightly waiting for her new found friend to reply

Kaz listened to her question, he didn't know what to say or do for that matter. He seemed abit lost in his own world as if know one was around him. Though he snapped out of it after realizing that Sara had blushed, he wasn't sure why she had, his words were not flattering or were they?
Kaz started to brush the side of his blonde hair, not sure what to say. He wanted to say alot to someone like Sara but his past and his ways of dealing with people made it difficult. Kaz watched her as she smiled due to the sun setting, Kaz lightly smiled himself as he watched it set, he always did have a soft spot for natural things and liked to think of it as his second home.
A few seconds he noticed that the temperature had dropped and that Sara was shivering, Kaz didn't like the idea of her going back later in the cold. He pulled out his unused jacket from his bag, and placed it around Sara to keep her warm. "I know its not fashionable but I rather see you warm...You always liked the sun set?" Kaz asked while laughing lightly.

Hearing a slight rustling of Kaz's bag Sara looked over to see what the heck he was doing, only to be wrapped with something soft an warm. Looking rather shocked she knew she should probably reject after all she was used to being alone, no one ever helped her she always got along by herself. Deciding not to say anything she just pulled the jacket closed before she heard him speak.
"thanks, are you sure you won't be to cold?"
Her voice was filled with worry she couldn't accept if he was going to freeze over there, no it would only make her feel guilty.Smiling as she heard him laugh, he had a nice laugh. It wasn't one of those annoying laughs it was rather sweet. Remembering that he had asked her a question, she turned and looked at him once more.
" Mmmhmmm there's something about sunsets that I always loved. Perhaps its the beautiful colors, or maybe that it's almost like magic the way the sun goes away and the moon comes out."
Lost in her thoughts she forgot where she was and who she was talking to for a bit. When she came to, she couldn't help but to look in a different direction.

Kaz watched her as she kept warm, her question was very innocent. Kaz was use to such coldness, he would train in such weather so it never bothered him, he smiled lightly towards Sara, she was asking such concerning questions which other people never asked.
"I'm fine, I'm use to this coldness...But thanks for asking." Kaz said lightly, he almost forgot to thank her but he was use to not being polite. Kaz noticed he had laughed, he slightly blushed as he didn't often give away his laugh he was almost embarrassed by it.
Kaz smiled abit more as Sara talked about the sun set in an almost poetic way. He looked ahead at the sun setting and then said lightly "Yeah, I don't know but it relaxes me more with those lovely colors." he looked towards her, only to see she was looking away.
"Your dark hair seems to glitter when the suns out, and in the dark it matches with the whole area, the trees and so forth." Kaz said lightly, he blushed lightly as he said that, not sure if it was the right thing to say.

Slightly saddened by his reply, no one should be accustom to the cold. Hiding her slight frown by trying to smile, yet it looked fake even she knew that. Looking back at her new found friend Sara sighed.Looking back at the blonde haired boy she felt happy, she was in a nice place with nice company.
"you sure? I feel kinda bad."
Laughing slightly, Sara could only nod at his next words. She didn't want to interrupt him, he seemed stuck in thought. Suddenly her smile dropped she was shocked by the words that came out of his mouth. Starring blankly with her mouth slightly hanging open. After a few seconds Sara came to, shaking her head a little it brought her back to reality.Stuttering slightly she didn't know if this was even real. No one had ever complemented her before ever, she had always been Sarafina that one girl.
"i-it d-oes?"
Quickly pulling a thick piece of hair up Sara examined it carefully. Yet she saw nothing but her hair, to her there was nothing special about it. Sighing she gently put the piece back into the spot she took it from. Suddenly turning to face Kaz she didn't know what to do.
" Thats sweet, no one has ever said anything like that to me before. Thank you."
Sara moved closer slowly before she rested her head on his shoulder, sure it was bold but she didn't care.

Kaz couldn’t tell if she was actually smiling or if she was just faking it, He never really understood girls and their needs or what they were trying to say, he was abit hopeless in that department. Kaz lightly smiled back, not to argue about such a small thing he simply said "Really, I'm fine, don't worry."
Kaz watched Sara as her mouth was slightly open, was his words that awful or inaccurate. He seemed to have got to her or said something that she never experienced before. "Well yes it does, I'm sure anyone can see that." Kaz said lightly. He laughed lightly as she examined her own hair.
"No one? That’s a little surprising." Kaz said to Sara not sure why no one has ever commented on her, he blushed lightly as she placed her head on his shoulder, he slightly tensed up again but this time it didn't bother him. "Sorry if my shoulder is awful for resting, it’s almost a rock." Kaz said lightly, he noticed some of her hair dangling down; he touched a small strand of it, feeling the texture and asking "You don't mind, do you?"

"well ok..."
Her words felt rather lost, she was almost sure she should have argued a little more. But she didn't want to make a huge scene and all, giggling lightly as he spoke once more. He seemed like he had no idea what he was doing, but in some ways nether did Sara. Sara had gotten tons of advice on this very subject, but the only problem was none of it made any since. One person would say men are simple creatures who aren't very smart (clearly coming from a woman activist) then others would say men are like book written in a different languages. Why did everything always have to contradict each other. Sighing slightly Sara could feel his shoulder tense but that was ok with her. His shoulder was quiet comfortable.
" no it's not, it's actually quiet comfortable. so what do you want to do?"
Her voice was soft and sweet like always, unless she needed to be a bitch but that was only when she got mad. A few stray strands of hair dangled lifelessly in front of her eyes, Sara was just about to push them out of the way when something she didn't expect happened. Quietly watching Kaz holding a piece she couldn't help but smile.
" no not at all."
Keeping her gaze on his hand she was wondering what he was going to do?

It seemed Sara was almost dissatisfied with her own words, as if she wanted to say something else, Kaz wasn't sure if he should ask her what the matter was or just leave it as it was. After afew moments he calmly said "You seem uncertain?..." Kaz didn't want to sound arrogant and act like if he knew what she was trying to say, as in all honesty he was confused.
He laughed lightly to himself as she commented on his shoulder, he always thought it was as hard as a brick, her next question made Kaz think for awhile, he had never been asked if he wanted to do something. "I'm not sure...whatever you want to do." Kaz said lightly.
He smiled abit more as she found it amusing that he was holding a piece of her hair. Kaz slowly let go of the strand, and then placed his fingertips on the side of her hair, slowly going through her hair. "Wow...It was more softer then I imagined." Kaz said calmly, his eyes fixed on her hair.
