Yukiko slowed her run, bending over and panting as she put her hands on her knees to rest. She had finally decided to start running again, for need of more physical exercise in her life (according to her mother). Needless to say she wasn't very pleased with the repetitive sport, especially when she could breath without running around until her legs gave out. It was spring. Spring meant flowers... flowers meant pollen... pollen meant her allergies going into overdrive.
"Curse you pollen!" She cried quietly, shaking an angry fist at the sky. Yukiko then sighed, dropping into a sitting position. The plumes of dandelion seeds flew up like a huge, fluffy cloud. Most on the actual field had already been trampled, but along the sidelines things were a different story. A very sneeze-and-cough-inducing story. She should've stuck with the idea of jogging down the beach. Salty, fluff-free air sounded very good just about now.
Yukiko pulled some of her long brown hair out of her face, reaching for the soccer ball at her side. Well at least she'd thought to bring a ball this time around. Now she could shoot goals instead of making pain-staking attempt at jogging around the field.
Yukiko tossed the ball up into the air, bounced it on her head a few times, and then let it fall before trying to kick it into the goal. She missed.
Of course.

She missed, all right. Still, there had to be someone who just happen to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Humming the tunes of his favorite song, a brown-haired boy wandered into the Golden Foot Field. He was thinking about the stuff he should be doing some time later. It had been quite a lazy week for Leon. He did almost nothing other than fooling around and sleeping. Things had been stagnant in his point of view. The serenity is almost suffocating for a boy of Leon's age.
With deck-equipped Duel Disk strapped on his hand, that day Leon decided to find someone to duel with. He wasn't thinking about territory duel, however. Someone like him is too insignificant for something like that. Should he lost that kind of duel, he would stain Ookami's pride and embarrass himself. No thanks, Leon thought. Then, what should he do?
As Leon was deep in his thought, he failed to realize a soccer ball flying right at him. Should nothing occurred to stop the ball from hitting Leon, it would smack Leon on the side of his head, probably causing him to fall on the ground.

Yukiko suddenly noticed that there did happen to be someone else to witness her epic miss, and on top of that, said person was in the direct path of the flying soccer ball. She didn't even have time to react though, so all she could do was yell and hope the person had some sort of ninja-skills and could dodge the make-shift missile.
"Hey, watch out!" Yes, helpful. Very helpful indeed.

Yukiko was almost right, but she was wrong. Leon was lost too deep in his thought to notice anything happening around him. If it wasn't for that, he should've had a hearty laugh when Yukiko missed her target, or realize that a high-speed soccer ball was flying right at him.
"Huh?" Leon turned, which is really, really not the best thing to do. The scream caught his attention, and to his surprise a soccer ball was heading, right towards his face.
"Wha- "
BUMP!
"Ngh!"
Leon saw stars as he was falling on the ground. It was a nasty hit indeed. Thump! Leon fell on his back. His eyes were spinning.
"Uuugh...."

Yukiko sighed, her shoulders drooping somewhat before she jogged over to the spot where the victim of her clumsiness had fallen. Just her bad luck (and his, she supposed) that someone happened to be walking passed just as she miraculously missed the goal.
Yukiko stood over Leon, worry flickering briefly through her green irises. She held out a hand to help him up, hoping she hadn't managed to give him a concussion.
"I'm so sorry!" She cried quite speedily, she words coming out in rapid succession. "Are you alright?"
