Horses weren't a common sight at the soccer fields, especially during the final game of the season. Jack wasn't entirely sure that the beastly maid known as Helga would give up the chase, but he certainly hoped so.
The two clan members made a strange sight, a Kuma girl and an Ookami boy covered in scratches from small twigs and branches in the forest. Jack had half a pant leg torn off, and the horses were no doubt exhausted.
The game seemed to have started just a little while earlier, so they would most likely be safe for an hour at least.

Cross continued pushing the horse until they came upon the people. She slowed down the horse and came to a walk. "I really hope that 'It' won't follow us here..." She said quietly to Jack.
She used one of her hands to dislodge the leaves and small branches out of her hair. She flushed. "I look ridiculous..." She muttered sourly.

Jack shrugged, mildly exhausted and just happy that they were out of the danger zone. "At least you don't look like a castaway." He gestured at his own ragged appearance, shirt torn up from the branches and the torn pants from 'it.' He dared not say 'it's name lest 'it' show up again.
He chuckled, watching the bemused faces of the players sitting out of the game for the moment. "Maybe they think we're the halftime show." He chuckled, remembering a few such amusing shows when he was younger.

Cross snorted. "I'm pretty close..." She muttered giving up on her hair.
"Nah, we're too cool to be halftime show." She said making a face at the people looking. They looked away abruptly. "Better." She said grinning.

Jack laughed at their expressions. "I wouldn't be too sure about what they think, there are some little kids amongst the bleachers." He pointed at the small faces of little kids past their bedtimes and immediately got a few dirty looks from their parents.
Jack smacked his forehead. "Great. Now I'm going to be a suspected kidnapper for the next few weeks." He complained sarcastically, laughing at the end of it. "Thanks Cross."

Cross grinned. "Hey, I've been a suspected kidnapper for months." She said with a laugh. "It's not all that bad!" She laughed and dismounted from Rafferty, petting him as he ate the grass.
"I dearly hope 'It' doesn't chase us all the way here..." She muttered looking back at the forest.

Jack hopped off of Paxton back as well about the same time as Cross. "The thing is, you'd survive in prison." He laughed out. "They'd tear me to pieces in three minutes or less."
When she mentioned 'it' Jack clapped a hand over her mouth and pressed her against Rafferty's side. He looked around, panicking just a little. When the Ookami was sure the coast was clear he hissed, "Don't jynx it!" And boy, did he mean it.

Cross' eyes widened and she held her hands up in the air in an 'I'm innocent' gesture. She tried to speak but Jack had put his hand over her mouth. She contemplated biting him, but realized that'd be cruel. There were a few onlookers but none too interested.

Jack let her go a moment later, remembering that covering mouths tended to lead to bitten hands and he was scratched up enough as it was. "Sorry." He said. "I just don't want to take any chances at this point."

Cross rolled her eyes. "If 'it' does come here, we have witnesses, just think of it that way." She said shrugging.
"You know, I just want to scare one of these little kids for life." She grinned and bit the air, at a little boy who was staring their way, he quickly turned away and hid his head in his mother's arm. Cross chuckled.

Jack laughed with her. "Just wait for a little kid to come up and ask what we're doing. You'll get your chance." He nodded over to a huddled group of children whispering amongst themselves, occasionally glancing their way. The brunette was willing to bet that one of them was going to get dared to walk over to them.
Hopefully Cross wouldn't decide to give whoever it was 'The Talk' out of sheer insanity. She seemed to be well stocked in that department, he wondered what would happen if she and Tekka met up.
If Cross was wondering why he looked like he was suffering from a panic attack a moment later, Jack would certainly not answer why. Informing her of a kleptomaniac younger sibling would be putting to much strain on the world's tolerance of 'crazy shit.'

Cross chuckled. If the poor kid did come over here, Cross actually would feel sorry for them. She glanced over at the huddled group of moms. She laughed nervously. "Although I'm not too sure their mother's would like me very much..."
"I'd rather not be forced out of town..." She muttered. "Anyways, what are we going to do? I'm bored just sitting here and waiting on these little kids to get the nerve and come pet 'the pretty ponies'." She said, her voice dripping with sarcasm at the last part of her sentence.

"Well," Jack began with a laugh, "We could alwa-" Whatever he was about to say was abruptly cut off by one of the mothers throwing up her arms, and stalking over to the two teens. She was a little small, with mousy brown hair and a little too much make up. She reminded Jack of a circus clown, especially with her rather bright attire.
"Excuse me." She said. Snarled or hissed might have been a better fit, but it was covered by a veil of practiced false politeness. "But you're being a bit of a..." She searched for the word. "distraction to the players and the children." It was easy enough to see that 'distraction' was a substitution for another, probably stronger, word.

Cross sighed and rolled her eyes, turning towards the short woman. She set her face as aggravated which truely she was.
"Listen here lady, I don't mean to be rude," She started, her teeth grit, that part was really a lie... she honestly liked it better that she was rude. "But I've had a really bad day, and I don't like the fact that you came over here and tried to tell us to go away! And by the way, you have horrible breathe, and it seems like one of your kids is making a break for it." She said with a sadistic grin on her face. The woman puffed her cheeks out mad and spun around, looking for the child, then she tore off running yelling the poor sap's name.
She rolled her eyes and turned back to Jack. "As you were saying?"

Jack sighed. "Wish I had gotten a word in..." He muttered, seeing the entertainment was gone for the moment. He was brought back to the situation by Cross. "Oh! Well, we could either bug people, watch the game," He grimaced at this option. "Or start sabotaging things." He tapped his chin. "Only one of those will probably keep us alive though..."
