Mel was speeding along the highway.Almost home she thought driving into a close. The night was dark and the air was cold and about 5 of the street lamps had gone out. 'stupid government cheapskates' she thought. She continued to listen to the music from her iPod.'Riding suites.Extremely handy, especially when they have pockets. She humming to Rhianna when a girl around 7 ran into the road.Noticing the bike she instantly put her hands in front of her.Mel quick swerved to the side, losing the balance of the bike but missing the girl. She quickly turned her head and saluted to find the girl yelling "Miss watch out!" she screamed. Mel turned round to find the truck coming her way.She tried to quickly swerve but the back wheel of the bike got caught on the front wheel of the truck. The motorbike swerved out out of control and went crashing to the ground. Mel went flying into the air eventually hitting the floor. She turned over a couple of times before crashing into the mess of a bike. She screamed in pain. The truck had drove away but the girl came running over to her.Mel tried to stand up and managed to limp a couple of paces, holding her side. She fell to the floor "Get help" she whispered before it all went black.

Keisko was about to head to work when she saw the accident. She ran back in the house, grabbed her first aid kit, and sprinted out, towards the girl. She came to a rest beside her and another girl and dropped to her knees. Blood was everywhere. Immediately, she pulled out her phone and called 911 then returned her attention back to the the girl who she finally recognized as Mel. She checked her pulse to see that she was still breathing. "Thank god." she said as she turned her over to lay her on her back, pushing the bike away as she did so. She took out her first aid and started cleaning up some of the cuts that were bleeding badly. She couldn't do much with the things she had but she could stay with Mel and wait for the ambulence.

Tekka was never good with the sight of blood. She hated the stuff, and despite having the fear of blood she seemed to be attracted to accidents rather magnetically. Today was no exception, only today, she was looking out her window as the accident happened instead of being right in the thick of it.
She rushed out of the house, forgetting to bring anything with her in her haste. While she was terrified, she couldn't just leave an injured person alone. It appeared she wasn't alone in this thought, as Keisko was sitting by the girl's side. Tekka skidded to a halt nearby and immediately began babbling.
"Keis I saw what happened from my window and is she okay?! She's bleeding so much is she gonna be okay? Can you help her Keis?" She dropped to her knees next to the felled Ookami, as indicated by the clan bracelet. "Did you call an ambulance what happened exactly she got hit by a truck or something I think or there was a crash or-" Her throat was closing up and she felt like she was about to cry.
She didn't know why she came out here, she was a thief, not a doctor. The little Tora guessed that it had something to with actually seeing the event happen, no one with even half a conscience could just turn their back on something like this. Tekka immediately wished that she hadn't been the only person home that day, anyone else would have been infinitely more useful in this situation.
"She'll be okay right?" Tekka asked, moving aside a few more pieces of the wreckage. She was looking to the older girl (whom she had met only a few times) with as much hope as she could muster, trying as hard as she could not to cry at the sorry sight of the victim.

Keisko jumped slightly at the young girl's sudden appearance. "Calm down Tekka, being frantic isn't going to help her." She studdied Mel. Her arm was cut up and turned at an awkward angle, most likely broken. She was steadily breathing so she must have just passed out from the pain or it could be the bloodloss... She noticed her leg had a large dark stain of blood. Quickly she tore the already torn pant leg open and gasped. It was steadily bleeding. "Crap!"
"Tekka, I need a belt." She said looking at the young Tora.

The younger girl bit her lip upon seeing the Ookami's arm bent in such a way. She didn't know all that much about medicine, but in every show she had seen and book she had read, broken bones got splinted or put in casts ASAP. The tomboy did her best to calm down though, stay rational, don't panic.
Tekka nodded and took off her own belt. It wasn't necessary, but it had become a bit of a habit to wear one. She passed it over to Keisko, trying her hardest to be of some use. If the Ookami needed anything else, well... she knew who owned what and how to pick locks. She wanted to help, she didn't want anyone else to die through an action she took or didn't take ever again.
Her mom was enough.

Keisko took the belt eagerly and gently wrapped it around the girl's leg, tightening it and buckling it. "That'll stop the bleeding." She explained.
She took a brief glance at Tekka. "Breath Tek, in and out, slowly."
She returned her attention back to Mel, looking her over. She saw some less severe cuts on her face and grabbed the antiseptic, putting it on gauze. She gently dabbed at the cuts.
"Where is that ambulence...?" She muttered looking at her arm which she didn't want to bend back without a splint to put it in.

Tekka did as she was told, taking deep breaths and trying to block out the smell of blood and burned metal. She looked around, not hearing sirens coming from any direction. "Why aren't they coming?" She asked, still scared but moving away from the hyperventilating portion.
She took another look at the broken arm and Keisko's reluctance to put it back into place. "And what do you need me to get?" She asked, trying to be helpful and not just an annoyance.

Keisko bit her lip. "Do you have a splint for her arm? And I need towels." She looked at Mel worried. She had to do more for the girl but she didn't hear any sirens coming...

"I know where to get towels, but what do we need for a splint, just something straight and sturdy?" She wasn't sure how reliable cartoons were for information, and it was best to use up a little time asking now then a lot searching with no idea in mind.

Keisko nodded. "Yeah that'll work." she said gently touching Mel's arm. "Hurry."

Tekka sprinted off without a word, heading to the closest house. It wasn't hers but she knew where they kept the spare key. A quick snatch from under the plant and in she went. Hopefully they wouldn't mind her using towels and... and... something straight, even if she didn't know what the last one was going to be exactly...
Still, she grabbed as many washcloths, towels, and miscellaneous cloths as possible in her search for a splint. She stopped at the bathroom, a short metal rod was used as a towel rack, and (mustering all her strength to do so) she tugged it from its base.
Having gotten what she needed Tekka rushed back to Keisko. The rod was hollow and lightweight but sturdy, and she was fumbling to keep all the collected towels together. By some miracle however, she made it out the door and back to Keisko. Arms piled high with the supplies as well as another first aid kit that looked brand new. "Got the stuff..." She panted out. She didn't drop it all in a heap, that might have been a bad thing, so she held onto it until Keisko said otherwise.
The rod however, she passed over immediately.

Keisko grabbed the rod and set it to the side. "I need to get a rag wet." She said taking the kit and opening it to see what all was in it. She took out the medical tape and set it beside the rod. She then turned back to Mel and grabbed her arm gently.
"Uhh... Tekka, I'd go get that rag wet... elsewhere, this won't be pretty." she said picking up the arm, preparing to twist it back into place.

Tekka nodded, then nodded again faster when the meaning set in. She bounded off with two towels, Keisko probably meant hot water and there was no point in not getting more than one towel worth. With all the girl's injuries more would probably be needed.
Despite her attempts to block out the thought of the unknown Ookami getting her arm popped back into place in the midst of a wrecked bike, the topic kept coming back unbidden like some sort of mad dog that kept fetching you your pink fluffy bunny slippers when you were at home trying to get cozy with a nice guy.
Her mind kept flitting over to an image of bone sliding against bloodstained bone, tearing at the muscles around it and making a terrible grinding noise similar to that of-
Wait, no, she had just flipped on the garbage disposal in her attempt to wet the towels in a nearby sink. Well, that was one mess she wasn't going to clean up. Tekka sprinted out of the house and back to the crash site, despite her desire to not see the bone put back in place, that girl needed help fast.

Keisko took the opportunity as Tekka ran, to twist the girl's arm back in the normal angle and pop the bone back into place. She winced at the noise. Blood was trickling down her arm from a small hole which seemed to be where her bone jutted out. She winced again.
Tekka then came out with the towels, and Keisko eagerly took one, wiping away blood. "Go ahead and start wiping away blood." She told the Tora.
Keisko then set Mel's arm on the towl and grabbed the rod and tape. She procedded to hold the rod to the back of Mel's arm and tape it tightly. She had to make sure the bone stayed in its place.
Once that was done, she grabbed the disinfectant and a bandage and cleaned up the hole from the bone. She winced at every movement, but was glad Mel was still passed out.

Tekka was pretty sure that if she had been alone, she would have thrown up by now. Blood was okay in horror movies, that was fake. This was real and 3 times as terrifying as any horror movie simply because someone could die here and it was real and there wouldn't be some sort of miracle cure at the end of the story if that happened because real life didn't work that way.
She could almost hear the screaming of an ambulance as she helped wipe off the blood from the girl, but every time she listened closer, they disappeared. Tekka looked up at Keisko. "Did you give them the right address?" She asked, the streetlamps were out and it was dark. The odds of correctly making out the street sign was slim at best. Her eyes trailed back to the bracelet. "Do you know her?" She asked, a little curious despite the awful scenario.
