Jack walked through the cemetery, for once seeming to know exactly where to head. It wasn't just that it seemed like that, for once he really did know where he was heading. He had trodden this path many times.
Counting off the headstones, he finally arrived at one in particular placed next to a tree. The tree was covered in leaves and cast a pleasant shadow in the midday warmth. The Ookami knelt down in front of it and spoke.
"Hey mom," He began, voice a little weaker than it typically was. "It's been a little while since my last visit, sorry about that." He gave a laugh. "I'm getting a little busy now that I got fired, but it's not a bad thing that I did." He explained to the headstone as if it were alive and listening. "Remember what I told you about getting back to where I belong? I did it." He rested his hand on the stone.
"And so much has happened in the past week. It's incredible. I've met so many people and... and..." he sighed. "I wish you were alive to meet them all too..."

Madoka wondered through the cemetary carelessly. She was debating on if she should visit her parents' graves or not. She ended up shaking her head, deciding not to. If she wasn't planning on running into people she might know later on in the day, she might have done so. But she didn't want to take chances on her friends seeing her eyes all red and puffy from crying. The young Ookami had to keep making everyone think she was a cheerful, hyperactive teen.
While walking, she noticed someone older than her at a grave. He seemed really sad. 'Well, duh, it's a freaking cemetary.' she thought to herself. Still, she hated people being sad, so she walked over to him.
"Are you okay, dude?" she asked innocently, tilting her head to the side. Though her words were plain, her expression showed true concern for the stranger infront of her.

Jack blinked and looked up from the grave at the sound of the voice. "Hm?" His eyes settled upon a small Ookami teen he recognized from one of the meetings, her name eluded him at the moment. He willed the sadness away and put on a smile. "I'm fine. Just visiting someone."
He stood up and brushed some loose dirt off his jeans before extending a hand. "Thanks for your concern, my name's Jack. Jack King."

Madoka grinned playfully. She recognized the smile Jack had on; she had become best friends with that very smile over time. She decided not to say anything about it; if this guy was anything like she was in these situations, he'd no doubt feel better sometime soon.
"Madoka Mizu!" she annouced merrily. "Nice to meet you, Jack." The first thing she noticed was his height. "I feel... short right about now." she commented, looking up at the older Ookami.

He laughed. "I get that a lot." He said, ruffling her hair lightly. "But it's cause you are so short right now." Jack joked.

Madoka took a step back after he ruffled her hair. It was then that she noticed how much he looked like one of her friends. "You're related to Tekka, aren't you?" she asked him, still grinning.

Jack blinked, grin faltering for a second. How many people knew that? Hell, how did so many Ookamis know that? It was just downright creepy. He nodded after regaining the smile. "Yeah, I guess we do look a little alike." He sighed. "Looks like I'll have to get my face rearranged, time to go piss off a drunk man." He remarked brightly, albeit sarcastically.
He dropped the joke. "So you know the screwball?" Jack asked, putting his hands in his pockets as he spoke.

Madoka pointed her thumb to herself. "Met her at the hospital once. 'Think she was running from a nurse, and she hid under my chair in the waiting room."
The Ookami girl started to put her hair back into place, looking up(as if she'd be able to see where she was fixing her hair at). She thought to herself why she even had her hair layered in the first place? It kinda bothered her slightly, one short strand, one longer strand...
She shook her head when she was done, totally ruining the whole reason behind her quick action in the first place. "So..." she began. "Who did you come to visit?" she asked, trying to be as polite as she knew how to.

Jack chuckled, "That sounds about right." His eyes were bright with mirth as Madoka fixed her hair, then shook it out. Either undoing the damage or undoing the effort, Jack was unable to tell which she considered the stray strands to be at the moment. He looked back over at the gravestone at the teen's question. "Visiting my mom." He said softly, eyes locking onto the name. Ella J. King

Madoka tried holding back any sort of emotional reaction, but she did begin to feel scared suddenly. Pictures she had seen of her mother ran through her mind at that moment. "Oh," she said, sounding awkward or surprised, she couldn't tell. "I'm... I'm sorry."
She put her hands behind her back and held onto them. It was one of her nervous reactions, that and jumping, but she knew it'd be the wrong thing to do in a moment like this. Instead she gently kicked the ground awkwardly, unsure of what to do.

Jack shook his head. "It's not your fault." He turned back to the girl, smile back in place and a twinge in his chest. He gently persuaded said twinge to relocate for a few minutes, preferably to is arm or somewhere else easily forgotten about. It reluctantly loosed its grip and faded away for awhile with a promise to be back later when he was alone.
"So," He began, "Did you come to visit someone too?"

Madoka was caught off guard by the question. She looked around. Would it be weird if she said she was just walking. Alone. Alone in the cemetary. 'Just a tad.' she agreed in her mind. Well, maybe this was a sign. She couldn't remember the last time she visited her parents.
"M- my mom and dad are burried somewhere around here..." she told him, looking away from his face. She tried making it look like she was looking for her parents' graves, when in truth, she was trying once again to avoid looking so weak. That mask was still hard, but had few cracks in it. She couldn't let that break.

Jack took a note of her face before it was lowered. She was hiding sadness, but who wouldn't be in a cemetery? He nodded. "I see." He tapped his chin and looked up in thought. "You say your last name's Mizu? I've seen that name here somewhere before..." Jack looked around.
"If you want, I can help you look." He offered with a smile.

Madoka nodded hesitantly. "Th- thanks..."
She suddenly wondered if there were more than two Mizu's burried there. She didn't think so, but it might have helped to look for first names, too. The younger brunette looked around for the names of her parents, and smirked slightly at a sudden realization.
Madoka turned to Jack real quick. "You have the same name as my dad." she commented before turning back to her search.

Jack blinked and paused in his search, "Huh, weird." He said before poking around the graveyard some more. Looking for a Jack Mizu, it wasn't too long before he stumbled across a grave with the name. He called out to Madoka.
"Oi! I think I found your dad!"
