The blond teen known to most as 'that kid from Tora who stole my wallet' and to others as Tekka wandered through the neutral sector of Hatsu Itonami. Her dad has left his lunch at home, she had brought it, he had denied it. So she had scarfed down the sub and decided to wander.
She skipped backwards in front of the fountain in the town square. City hall was a ways off, but this area was close enough to it to still be considered neutral. She typically only skipped in the forest, but today seemed to be the kind meant for RAWs, or Random Acts of Weirdness.
Skipping backwards definitely qualified.
The only problem with said activity was that you had to be very careful not to run into anyone, Tekka regularly disturbed the playing of children with this activity along with the occasional couple making out.
She was hoping for the latter this time, it always caused the most ruckus.

Well I suppose it's not all bad, Maru thought. The neutral territories was, in his opinion, the best place to get lost. That way, a person would be threatened by opposing groups. Lost or not, Maru needed to get out and know the city. He felt like he didn't know the whole place. He needed to get to know others better. So he happily took a 'stroll' past City Hall.
After turning a corner, he noticed a girl skipping..........backwards. He blinked and stared, obviously confused at her weird behavior. Dear God, don't be a Tora, he thought, continuing to watch her enjoy herself.
He stepped a bit closer and waited for her to skip past him. It was Tekka. Maru face palmed and walked along side her. "What are you doing?" he asked, his voice having an annoyed tone.

Tekka turned her head at the voice of her clanmate. "Heya Maru!" She chirped happily, giving a wave without slowing. It was okay in her mind, since he had decided to walk next to her why slow down?
"I'm skipping backwards, why?" She asked with a grin, eyes sparkling. She was happy today, it was nice out and no one had challenged her to a territory duel, so what was the harm in having some fun?

Maru sighed and shook his head. "I can see that," he told her. "It was a rhetorical question. Why are you skipping backwards?" In front of town square at that. Usually, people would do that somewhere much less crowded. Like a park on a rainy day.
He shrugged and decided to drop the topic. He knew it would get nowhere. "Anyway, what's up?" He wasn't very good with small talk, but he wanted to try it out. Practice makes perfect after all.

"Cause I was bored and this is a good way of making a ruckus, 'specially if you run into someone." A Cheshire grin spread onto her face and she chuckled.
Figuring that he'd be better disposed to talk more if she walked normally she switched her direction and began to walk by his side. "The bird, the sky, that lamp-post." She pointed at the tall lighting pole. "Though I'm pretty sure those aren't the answers you want." She laced her fingers behind her head and looked at him with mirthful blue eyes.
