Keisko had always been extremely interested in the medical field ever since she was a little girl and had wandered into some town's hospital after breaking her arm. Since she loved to read, she often read many books that involved medical things.
She knew just as much about the subject as a Registered Nurse.
Keisko had stumbled upon the hospital one day by accident and decided to go in and try to see if she could coax them to give her a job. She was 19 and was honestly tired of all the war and felt that helping everyone out when they were hurt and sick would make her feel better about having chosen to be in one of the clans in the first place...
She walked into the hospital and went straight up to the counter. "Do you need any help mam?" The woman asked worriedly.
"Actually I was wondering if it was possible that I could get a job here." She said smiling kindly trying her best to give the best first impression.
"Do you have a resume?" She asked.
Keisko bit her lip and leaned forward looking into the woman's eyes. "Listen, I know that it's customary for you to ask these questions but honestly... with this war going on, it looks like you can take whatever help you can get. I'm not asking to be paid anymore than minimum wage... I just want to help out and really need this job as a distraction from the war." She said being completely straightforward.
The woman sighed, looked around and picked up the phone. She talked quietly into the phone, glancing up at me a few times then hung up. "If you will go through that door, someone will meet with you and take you into an office to talk."
Keisko nodded and smiled. "Thank you." She walked through the door that the woman had instructed her to. A very tall man was standing on the other side waiting. He was approxtimately 6'7 with dark shaggy black hair that went a little past his ears, he had very light blue eyes that seemed to want to contradict the darkness of his hair. He looked up at me and smiled.
"I'm Docter Lewis Stevens and you are?" he held out a hand that Keisko shook.
"Keisko Azuma." She said smiling, having to look up him. He was really, really tall and handsome...
"Nice to meet you Mrs. Azuma." He said smiling and starting to walk.
"It's Miss." She said walking to his side.
He nodded and smiled. "So I hear from our secretary that you are looking for a job..."
She nodded but noticed that he wasn't looking so had to speak up. "Um Yes, I am. I've never been to school for it but I know just as much as any other Registered Nurse."
"Okay well then... normally we don't allow this type of stuff to happen but we are short of hands and you aren't asking to be paid much so..." He opened a door and held it open, letting Keisko in first. She went in and sat in a chair as he sat down behind the desk. "If you would..." He pulled out a large packet of papers and set it on the desk in front of her. "Fill out the first few pages with your information and then take the test that follows it."
Keisko nodded and took the packet willingly.
A while later she finished the test and handed it to him. He had taken it and left the room only to return 20 minutes later with her results.
"Well Miss Azuma, you've been hired. We expect to see you monday morning. Now you'll only be working part time and for minimum wage but seeing as you're in a clan, it works out."
She shook his hand smiling and left the hospital. She now had a job as a Nurse.
