"Then we're even with these cookies," Satoru decided, biting into one that smelled strongly of cinnamon. He wasn't disappointed, it was an explosion of sweet in his mouth.
The bed dipped towards the weight of humans, so it made sense that they wound up being pushed together by gravity. It was fine for Toru, he was always a little cold, the contact was nice, just lying down with someone. Though he had to admit, the cookies definitely made it better than usual. He needed to try and get them for these meetings more often.

Kiyo beamed when she bit into a chocolate cookie. "Mm! These are so good!" Yes, Toru had made an excellent choice in bringing the cookies today, she hoped he'd do it again some time.
Touch was normally something Kiyoko cringed at when she wasn't working, and when she WAS working there was still a mental cringe of sorts, but being pushed against Satoru like they were was actually nice. He wasn't a threat to her, he was nice and safe and all he wanted from her was conversation that she was glad to give. She giggled a little and cuddled into the gangster's side innocently. Innocent, she liked that word.

They munched companionably for a little while, reveling in the soft bed and the snacks. Satoru let out a sigh a minute or two of contented quiet later. "Hey," he asked, turning his head to look at Kiyo. They were still nestled, it was cozy and comfortable.
"If you could leave the city, what do you think you'd do?" He hadn't dared to bring it up in the past few visits, but they were nearing a year of friendship (as intermittent as the visits were) and he was curious. The gunslinger didn't honestly think they would be able to leave, and he wasn't sure if he wanted to, but it was something to think about.

Kiyo blinked at the question and frowned. "I don't really know, it's a thought I normally try avoiding..." Even just imaging was enough to get someone's hopes up, and really, like they would ever be able to get out of the city? Still, maybe just talking about it a little would be okay.
"I guess, hm…" She took a moment to think while taking another bite of her cookie. "I think I'd like to go somewhere a little quieter." Too quiet would be too uncomfortable to her with what she was used to, but it'd be nice to sleep at night without all of the screaming and other horrific sounds in the background. "And I think I'd like a little garden. Just enough flowers to brighten things up." Lady Jun had vases with flowers set up in parts of the building to bring a little more class, and she had even taught Kiyo the meanings behind some of them (a lot of them had meanings that were too sweet to even exist in New Tokyo, then again Jun did only have them around for looks).
A little more thought was given before she sighed. "Yeah, I don't know much beyond that. What about you?"

He could understand avoiding the thought, he'd done it a lot himself. Getting out of the city was a pipe dream at best, but... He'd never quite grown out of the thought. Flowers and a garden would suit Kiyo, certainly. He mulled over his own answer as he chewed and swallowed a bite of cookie. What would he do? Honestly?
"...I think somewhere quiet sounds nice..." He'd like to find someone, too, if he could manage to get lucky enough... If he could find some guy just as messed up as him and have that, he was pretty sure he could be happy for a while. But that was... that wasn't what he wanted to say. He didn't know the words for that, and his fingers played with the buttons of his jacket- too big by far, but he was still growing- as he came up with something a little different, but still true enough. "I want my own room, wherever I go. I want to have my own place that no one else gets to come into unless I say they can."

Kiyo nodded at that with a slight smile. "I'd want that too," a place to herself where she could chose who got to enter, that definitely sounded nice...
She adjusted herself to lay on her side and better face Toru, propping her head up with one arm as her other hand held what was left of her cookies. "We could share a place!" She exclaimed quietly. Hey, they were fantasizing right? At the very least it was a fun idea to toy around with. "We'd each have our own rooms, and make our own rules. It'd be quiet and comfortable and we could do whatever we wanted, whenever. Like..." she trailed off as she tried coming up with an example. A cookie was held up a short moment later. "We'd stock up on as many cookies as possible, for one." The cookie was bitten into and Kiyoko smiled a little more as she chewed. The idea of being completely alone didn't sound very nice to her, but she knew she didn't like the thought of being WITH someone either, at least now right now. Toru though? He was different, he was her friend.
