The walk to Satoru's(and Keith's?) home wasn't a long one thankfully. Kiyoko wasn't really sure what she was expecting it to be like, she was still trying to wrap her head around the idea that Toru owned a house. Things had certainly changed since the last time they'd seen each other. It was a nice house though, she thought to herself. Not too big and nothing fancy, it wasn't hard to imagine her old friend living here.
"So this is really yours?" She asked, just to double check. It had already been established, sure, but it was... different. A good different.

"Yeah," he said, looking up at it. It wasn't too big; it had been for a while, too big for just one person that never cared much for having company over, but it wasn't anymore. The house fit him and Keith comfortably, even with Gabe and Echo, and it would fit Kiyo as well. "Took a while, but it's mine."
He stepped forwards and unlocked the door, three of the six locks when he was out, all six were usually locked when he was inside. "It's yours too, for as long as you need it or want it." He could make that offer, it was after all, his house. Keith could argue if he wanted, but he doubted the other Tora would. And since all three members were in fact Tora members, the Clans couldn't have much of a say in the matter either. But that wasn't really what he'd brought her for.
Echo was sound asleep on the couch, some guard dog she was, and only twitched and growled a little in her sleep as the pair stepped inside. "I have something of yours," he said to Kiyo, aiming to not wake up the retriever.

The numbers of locks on the front door didn't seem all that strange to Kiyo, paranoia was something of a common trait of people who escaped New Tokyo and it made her a little more comfortable with staying here too. Not that she'd been worried about it to begin with, but it helped. "Thank you, really, this helps a lot." She wouldn't have to stress over finding out sleeping arrangements, not immediately at least. She would find her own place at one point, but for now she was relieved to have someone helping her out as much as Satoru was.
Though she did look at him funny at his next statement. "You do?" She asked, doubtful. What in the world would he have of hers for so long? The only thing she had really ever given him was the jewelry collection she had acquired over her teenage years, and Kiyoko knew for a fact that she'd stressed to him how much she never wanted to look at those again...

"Mhm," he nodded, deciding that he didn't need to explain it so much as he needed to show her. He'd kept it locked up tight, and he'd been very careful to not use more than he'd absolutely needed to. Satoru gestured for Kiyo to follow him. "Upstairs, c'mon."
He took her hand again to lead her up, it wasn't like there was a chance to get lost, the house wasn't that big, but it was a comfort. Kiyo had survived the city.

Kiyoko followed the gunslinger upstairs and squeezed his hand just slightly. It was a simple action, holding hands, but it meant a lot to her. Toru was alive, and they'd found each other again after so long. Besides, while she loved physical comfort like this it was hard for her to accept most of the time. There were very few people out there that she trusted to touch her, even for something as innocent as this.
But back to the subject at hand, she was still confused on what Satoru meant. She'd figured out soon enough, but her curiosity was growing.

The safe was in the closet in the master bedroom, the one he'd never spoken the combination of or written down out of the same paranoia that made him get so many locks on his doors. Three twists of the knob and it was opened, and he pulled out a thick manilla envelope. He shut the door of the safe -there wasn't much in there anyway- and he handed the envelope to Kiyo.
"This is yours. It's not all of it, I had to use some to get out of the city, but I kept the rest of it tucked away for if I ever saw you again." It had been a wild hope that he would ever see her again, too, but he hadn't forgotten her. The money was rightfully Kiyoko's anyway.

The envelope was taken carefully and Kiyoko started to get what he was talking about. When she opened it and looked inside her eyes nearly popped out of her skull and her jaw dropped a bit. She knew the jewelry would sell for a lot, but she hadn't expected THIS much, and to think that this wasn't even all of it.
"Toru..." She started, not knowing how to finish whatever she was wanting to say. He'd actually kept all of this for her, even though the odds of them finding each other again were nearly impossible. Her eyes were still wide as she pulled her attention off of the money and up at Satoru. "I... I don't..."

"You don't have to say anything," Satoru cut in, quick to cut off whatever Kiyo was about to say. "It didn't feel right spending it all anyway, and I didn't want to give it away only for something like this to happen, so..." He glanced away as he trailed off, rubbing at the back of his neck. "Yeah." He finished lamely.

The shock on Kiyo's face gradually turned into a smile at Satoru's explanation and she stepped forward to pull him into a hug. Her face was pressed into his shoulder and her arms wrapped around him as tight as she could manage while still holding the envelope in one hand. God she'd missed him so much...
"Promise me I won't lose you again." She kept her head on his shoulder as she spoke, she didn't want to move yet but she needed to hear him say it. So much had happened after he left the city, and maybe one day she would tell him, but for now she just wanted to focus on this.

Satoru hugged back just as tight after an instant of surprise, he hadn't really hugged Kiyoko in years. He held her close, a similar sensation to what he felt around Keith and Gabe seeping through him. Safety. Reassurance. This was good.
"I promise," the gunslinger replied quietly.
