Hotaru couldn't be anymore grateful right then. Sure, she was tired and sweaty and her hair was a wreck, but that was all fine. She wasn't thinking about that right now, because after nine months she was finally getting to hold her new son. Kohaku was sound asleep in his mother's arms, and she couldn't help the huge smile that was on her face. It had been years since Tyler and Emma had been small enough to hold, she'd really missed this. Speaking of which, the nurses should allow the twins to come in here pretty soon, she couldn't wait for them to meet their new baby brother.
She laughed quietly so not to wake him and turned to Jack. "Looks like I finally got a redhead, huh?" She asked.

"Took us long enough, huh?" Jack laughed out, he was sitting in a way that let him be as close as possible without disturbing too much of the medical equipment or the occupants of the bed. "He's adorable..."
"Who is?" Tyler asked, finally FINALLY they were allowed into the room. He and Emma had been waiting in the hall of the hospital and had only just been called in. Tyler couldn't speak for his twin but he had been desperately excited (and a little freaked) when he heard that their mom had gone into labor. They were about to get a little sibling! And if he was noisy they could just hang at the dorms more nights, so it was no skin off their back.

Hotaru looked over to the door when it opened and smiled more when she saw Tyler and Emma. "Your little brother, come over here so you can see him."
Emma followed Tyler in, full of excitement now that they finally got to meet their little sibling(brother, Mom said brother). "So it's a boy?" She asked as they got close enough to see him. Her eyes lit up and she nearly squealed with joy, oh he was so CUTE! She wanted to ask to hold him, but figured it'd be best to wait a little for that. So instead she asked the other question she was dying to know. "So what's his name?" She'd heard their parents tossing back and forth different names for the baby, and her and Tyler had even suggested a few of their own, but she never did hear them come to an agreement.

Tyler darted around to the other side of the bed than Emma to try and spread out the faces a little. "He looks so squishy..." And pink. Well, pink and red, if one was to account for the reddish fuzz on the baby's head.
Jack looked to Ruru at the question. "Well, one your mother thought up has been sticking out at me... 'Kohaku,' I think it was?" He said. Ruru had loved the name, and honestly, Jack really did like it. And looked at the baby now... It almost seemed to fit him.

Hotaru nodded at that. "Yeah, I think it's a great name." And it would be nice for one of her children to have a name that came from more of her background. She looked down at the little redhead in her arms. "You like that, Kohaku?" She didn't get much of a response, but he did nuzzle himself against her a little more. "I'll just take that as a yes."
Emma was absolutely beaming, he was so precious! She looked up for a moment to look at her twin. "Sorry Ty, he wins the Cute Brother Award." As far as she could see there wasn't much of a contest.

"Aww nuts, I thought I was a shoo-in this year just like the last dozen..." He snapped his fingers and grinned. "But I guess he can have it, he just got born after all."
"Hard to compete with," Jack agreed. At least until Kohaku started crying and whatnot. But at least it wouldn't be anywhere nearly as exhausting as handling the twins.

Emma giggled a little and returned her attention to her younger brother. He was so small and fragile, hard to imagine they were that small once. "How long 'till you two can come home?"
"Oh we'll be leaving tomorrow." Hotaru said confidently. "They just wanna see how he does over night and we'll be good to go, no worries there." She wasn't concerned about any health issues with Kohaku, so everything should work out well. She was looking forward to going back home with him. She looked back down at him. "You've got one big, crazy family that's waiting to meet you, you know that?" So what if he was sleeping, she still liked talking to him. She was the boy's mother, after all.

Jack smiled. "He's definitely got a lot of people to meet..." And crazy was just the simplest way to put them all. The King family really was weird. He brushed a finger over the little redhead's cheek. "And they're all very eager to meet him, too."
Tyler frowned a bit. "Kinda a pity there's not gonna be any cousin's his age, though..." He remarked absently. It's not like he didn't already love the little bundle in his mom's arms or wouldn't want to play with him when he got bigger, but it wasn't like having people your own age... Family around your age was nice, and he and Emma had always had one another.

Hotaru frowned a little at that too, but only a little. "That's true…" She said, thinking. "Little Greg's the closest to his age, but he's two." True, Greggie wasn't part of the family by blood, but he was Cross'(well, she wasn't Cross anymore since she got married, but it was just habit now) son and Greg's nephew, they were all still family as far she was concerned.
Emma shrugged. "They could still play together, couldn't they? I mean, when Kohaku gets a little bigger obviously, but you know." It was something at least.

"Two years isn't that much difference," Jack nodded. That was about the difference between him and Aiden, and excluding the worse times of their relationship they'd gotten along great. Though, it really wasn't the best model of a stable healthy brotherly relationship... At all. He could ignore the source for now. "So I don't see why not, as long as they actually like one another."
Tyler blinked. "Oh hey! I guess this mean's Jazz isn't the youngest anymore, is he?" He knew the little blond had been excited to not be the youngest of the Kings, and Tyler couldn't honestly blame the little guy.

Hotaru shook her head and laughed. "Nope, title's been taken. I'm sure he's happy." Being the youngest wasn't all that fun, she remembered that much. Oh well, it looked like little Haku was going to have to put up with it, she didn't really see anymore babies happening in this generation of the King family. She let out a yawn and blinked a few times. She wasn't falling asleep yet, she loved spending time with her family like this.
Though her arms were starting to go numb. "Here Jack, could you hold him? I can't feel my arms." As much as she loved her other two children dearly, she wasn't too sure if they knew how to hold a baby. She was sure they'd be fine, really, but this was Hotaru we're talking about. She always worried.
