It wasn't normal for Gabe to ditch class, in fact this was his first time doing it. The blond had History this period, but he had already finished the project they had been working on and just didn't see the need in going that day. He couldn't get in too much trouble, normally being a pretty good student and all.
He actually wondered if he could find Fei. With everything going on lately he was feeling a little more than confident about their challenge. They'd been getting closer, and everyone seemed to be on his side about them dating. He couldn't help but feel a little smug at that, was that wrong? Nah, 'course not.
Now, where was that girl's class at right now?

Fortunately for Gabe, Fei was not a particularly difficult person to find. She too had a certain fondness for ditching class, and so she had spent the past few minutes hiding out in the staircase behind the library. For some reason, teachers never thought to look there. It was probably because it wasn't easy to find, at least for those who didn't know it was there. Certain students, however, such as Fei, knew the spot all too well.

Eventually the Kuma caught a glimpse of the other teen's signature multi-colored bangs and grinned. "Well looks who's here?" Gabe said as he came up to her. "Couldn't possibly be my future girlfriend Fei Yen, could it?" Okay, maybe he was getting a little too full of himself, but it was pretty fun.

"You sound particularly confident today," Fei observed from her perch on the stairs. "Might I remind you that you haven't won our little game just yet? I haven't even had a chance to work my magic." She gave her companion a sly look. "And trust me. It's magic."

Gabe laughed lightly and walked up the steps. "Well when everyone seems to be on my side already I can't help but get a little excited." He grinned. "Oh, your brother's pretty cool by the way, we get along pretty well." He added that more as an after thought, but also as a way to sneak in that Sora sided with him on the dating thing.
"And as for that magic of yours," He started, staying on his feet on the stairs as he leaned against the railing. "I've got some powers of my own, it's called Will Power, maybe you've heard of it."

"I daresay have. In fact, I've been told I have quite a bit of my own." She would get her way, outside opinions be damned. She always got her way.
Fei exchanged her stubborn pout for a smile. "So, you met Sora. How'd that go?"

Gabe chuckled a little as he thought back on the little interrogation. "Pretty well, actually. The interrogation was painless enough, he just wanted to be sure he was trusting his big sister with the right person."
He shrugged. "He also kinda threatened me for if I gave in first, gotta say I'm a little too scared of the kid to even think about it." He was still smiling, obviously on the sarcastic side. What could he say, he could be a smart ass when he wanted to be.

Fei waved his comments off. "He never goes through with threats. I mean, don't you think there would be more wounded or tramuatized boys at this school if he actually got to every person I've fooled around with?" That logic was flawless in the Tora's mind. She knew Sora cared a lot about her, as she about him, but he wasn't exactly threatening. "If that's your only reason for not giving in to my simple request then you should seriously reconsider your position on the issue."

"Oh I don't think I can do that." Gabe said, shaking his head. "You know where I stand on this already, but something tell me you wouldn't be willing to wait out for me like this unless you felt something goin' on between us." He grinned.

Fei's internal reaction to the blond's words was not a pleasant one. The truth in what he was saying hit her like an icy punch to the gut, cold and hard. She hid it behind her skepticism rather well, but that didn't make her feel any less uneasy. "Maybe. Or maybe I'm just stubborn." The Tora stared right at Gabe, as if she were daring him to disagree.

The Kuma shrugged. "Could be, but I really doubt it." He remembered what Sora said about Fei liking him, and while he would love to throw that bit of information out he didn't think it'd be fair to the kid to throw up under the bus like that.
Gabe walked over and sat beside her, still grinning. "I think you actually like me. You're either just too stubborn to admit it or you haven't figured it out yet." Yeah, it had to be something along those lines. "So, which do you think it is?" He asked her.

Fei's brow furrowed slightly. "I don't know why you're so insistent about this whole relationship thing. It seems to me that we could both be plenty happy without commitments or gushy labels." They were just a bother, really. She could never really see the point in the whole boyfriend-girlfriend thing. All it did was create drama and hurt feelings.

Gabe rose an eyebrow. "Well I never said any of that, I'd much rather want a commitment." As much as the blond loved his father, he knew how he use to be, fling after fling. It only ended up getting him in trouble in the end, and he didn't want that. He wanted something real and secure, why was she so scared?
He shrugged. "Why is it so hard to admit that you just might really wanna go out with me? You cared about me enough to check on me at the hospital, and I cared about you enough to be there after you had that nightmare." He gave a small smile. "Look Fei, I really like you, alright? I just…" he sighed. "I'm not doing anything with you if I'm just gonna end up being another fling for you. So decide what you wanna do, 'cause if we're not gonna date then you might as well give up." He hadn't meant for that last part to sound so harsh, but he was really starting to get annoyed. If she really didn't feel anything for him, then he wouldn't waste his time. He didn't like that thought, but that was life.

Fei couldn't hide the look of hurt that flashed across her face at Gabe's words. She pushed herself upright, standing as tall and fiercely as she could. "I'm getting really sick of you acting like you're better than me." Distantly she knew that her words weren't really making sense, but the dam had already burst. There was no stopping the oncoming rush of frustration. "Maybe I don't get deeply committed to other people, but I don't need to hear you implying that I throw boys away like tissue paper."

Gabe sighed. Great, now he got her mad. He spoke as calm as he could and looked up at her from his seat. "Sorry, I didn't mean it that way." He ran a hand through his hair, guess he owed her an explanation. "You wanna know why I'm so against it?" He asked her. It was nothing tragic or life scaring, but it was something he didn't like talking about and the fact that he was even considering telling Fei should have been enough to show how bad he wanted this to work out.
