It was somwhere between one and three in the morning. Fei-Yen hadn't really be paying attention to the time for quite awhile. She had, for once, actually tried to spend her night getting the recommended eight hours of sleep (although she HAD snuck back into the dorms after curfew), but her nocturnal tendencies had proved too strong. She had given up after half an hour of tossing and turning and decided to raid the the kitchen and watch late-night television in the lounge. Fei had successfully swiped a pint of ice cream, a few sodas, and some tortilla chips (although she'd struck out on the salsa).
Currently, she was sitting upside down in the largest armchair available, eating ice cream straight from the carton. They were playing some old anime on whatever channel she had stumbled upon. Her little "cousin" was really into this stuff, wasn't she? Fei had to admit, she saw the appeal. It was pretty entertaining.
Late night antics such as this had become routine for the Tora. She was a bit of an insomniac, so she had grown used to hanging out in the dorms by herself during the odd hours of the night... or morning. She was still unclear about the time.

Normally when Gabe couldn't sleep he would just turn on his lamp and try reading for a while, but he had already read what books were lying around in his dorm room. That said, he figured walking around the halls for a while would either make him tire out, or give him some time to kill until he actually felt like collapsing.
He ended up going into the lounge near by, noticing the tv on. Apparently he wasn't the only one who couldn't sleep. He walked in a little more and noticed who it was that was still up. He had run into her at the arcade with Adriana, now what was her name again? "Fei?" he tried, there was more to it, but the nickname was simple and all he could remember at the moment.

Fei glanced up from her spot in the chair, smiling slightly when she noticed who it was. The cute guy from the arcade. Nice.
"Well good morning, sunshine." She set down the ice cream, but remained more ores upside down. "Couldn't sleep either?"

"Not at all." Gabe said as he fell onto the couch, resting his elbow on the arm. "I'm out of books to read so I figured I may as well wander around for a bit. But I guess I wouldn't mind watching some tv." he rose an eyebrow at the screen, some anime? "The hell is this?" he asked, somewhat bored. He'd never been big on television much, so he wasn't exactly sure what he was watching.

"Fairy Tail, I think. Though judging by the intense fight scenes and big boobs, I'd say you're probably more of the target audience than I am." She smirked in amusement. "'You' meaning the average teenage boy, of course." Fei turned back towards the screen. Target audience or not, she found all the cheesy one-liners and explosions vastly entertaining.

Gabe rolled his eyes at that. "Please." Fight scenes were okay if they're done right, but the big boobs thing? He didn't really care about that. "'Sides, I don't watch tv, it's pointless and brain draining if you ask me." He sighed and showed a small grin. "Though I guess it's not like I have anything better to do with my time right now huh?" Besides actual sleeping of course, but that'll just happen on its own eventually.

"True enough," Fei-Yen chuckled. "I suppose we could always sneak out. The Allüre is probably still in prime party-mode right about now. But that would be a tad redundant, seeing as I had to sneak in in the first place." She sighed. "Such is the life of a girl with a curfew."

Gabe chuckled at that. "Poor girl, I bet you're life's so tough." It didn't surprise him, she had seemed like the party girl kind of type. It wasn't really something he had really been a part of, but he didn't feel like he was missing out on much honestly. "Can't say I feel your pain, I'm not exactly the type that goes out to parties or sneaks out." Boring? Maybe, but he liked things simple, and the opportunity never really came up for him to try anyway, so why should he care?

"Wow. I mean... What do you do with all that free time then? Don't you do anything exciting?" Rude? Maybe, but it was late and Fei-Yen really couldn't care less. Besides, what did one do to have good, proper fun if not party every once in awhile. Fei righted herself in the arm chair, glancing at Gabe through the gloom. "I mean, everyone needs to let loose sometimes."

Gabe grinned a little. "I suppose, but I dunno." he shrugged. "I hang out with Adriana a lot of the time, our dads work together so we've pretty much grown up together. I normally just go along with what she wants to do." which usually included video games or listening to her spazz out over some show or book series she's into at the time. "I'm not exactly the fun type if you haven't noticed, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to try a party if the offer ever came up." The idea sounded... somewhat appealing, he wouldn't lie. "I'm not too sure I would fit it though if I tried." Oh well, no one was perfect.

Fei turned her face towards Gabe, eyebrows raised. "Hon, look at me. My hair comes in all seven colors of the rainbow. Do you really think fitting in has ever been on my list of priorities?" Her face fell back into a smile. It almost looked reassuring. "Trust me, that's not something you'll need to worry about."

"Ah, but see, here's the thing." he began, turned so he could look at her better. "You're actually around people a lot and know how to talk to them from the looks of it." he pointed to himself. "I on the other hand, am boring and have nothing special to bring to crowds like that. After a while they'd probably be trying to get rid of me for being such a buzz kill." At least that was how he saw himself. Not a lot of things really caught his interest. He was a decent drummer and wrote lousy lyrics(only Adriana knew about those though, they were a well kept secret), but there wasn't really anything else about him that someone would find worth while.

"Aw, that just comes with practice." She flapped her wrist as if physically waving Gabe's concerns away. "People don't just have charisma, they earn it. And besides," the Tora turned back towards the T.V., "you shouldn't put yourself down so much. I don't think you're boring at all. Plus you have a cute face. That never hurts."

Gabe thought for a moment and shrugged, turning his direction back to the tv again. "If you say so, you're the expert on this stuff after all." He wasn't so sure what to say about the cute comment and decided to let that drop. He figured he was always decent looking, not good enough to make all the ladies swoon, but not bad enough to send them running either.
He sighed. "I guess I wouldn't mind giving it a shot." he finally said after a little while. "You'd be my guide of course, no way in hell I'm going into something like that alone and look like a moron."

"Does that mean I get to take you to a party?" Her tone was similar to that of a small child asking for permission to open their Christmas presents. "Keep in mind, if you say yes, I'm totally going to hold you to it." And soon, probably. Fei-Yen wasn't the type to act patiently when she had gotten excited for something.
