The smug smile on Artemis' face dropped when she realized she actually had to WORK while the entertainment had just started. Now that just wasn't fair, but then again she much rather watch hell be brought on Daemon than herself. At that thought, the younger Tora fell into a chair at the table reluctantly and started on finishing up sharpening the knifes, still glancing up to occasionally to see what was going on.
Desiree looked back and forth between her son and husband. No no, please no, she didn't want anyone fighting! "Both of you, please don't do this now." she walked closer to Archer and attempted to rub his shoulders. "Let's just all calm down, won't we?" She tried to sound calm but it was clear that she was worried beyond belief at what the results of tonight could bring in the family.

Archer pulled Desiree's hands away and glared at his son. He was quiet and while he was about to reply Daemon jumped in again. "What's worse is that not only do I have you to deal with, I have HER!" he pointed at Artemis. "She's even worse! The other day at school she ruined a girl's relationship with her family, the Megumi's, the same children of the man who your accomplice in that whole drama back then killed! So not only do I have to deal with the past in regards to the King family, I have to deal with it in regards to the Megumi family! You've raised a monster and if it wasn't for Mom and school, I'd be just as bad. All you do is ruin things! I won't be part of that! I won't be a killer like you or a psychopath like Artemis!" He said, his voice rising with anger and emotion.
Archer dropped Desiree's hands and had Daemon by the collar of his shirt in mere seconds. "I've done nothing but love you and your sister since the moment you were born and this is how you want to repay me? We do this job to make a good life for ourselves. You say that you'd be like me if it weren't for school, well who do you think helped fund that damn school in the first place? Don't be an ungrateful brat. So what if some kids don't like you, it's not going to change and I don't regret a thing I did back then so you won't get any apologies from me." He released Daemon's collar and shoved him back, causing Daemon to hit the wall.

Artemis was snickering to herself from the background when Daemon mentioned what she had done, only to stop and glare at him for what he called her. She jumped up out of her chair. "I am NOT a psychopath!!" she snapped, voice a mix of a yelling and a high pitched whine. She couldn't understand why she was so offended at the term, she had been called worse and brushed it off like it was nothing. This thought... she was NOT a damn PSYCHO! She WASN'T!!
Desiree gasped and ran to her son's side, checking to see if he was okay. There was too much yelling going on, it was killing her seeing her family like this. "Daemon, sweetie, are you okay?" she asked, more worried than she had felt in years.

Daemon pushed himself off the wall and nodded at his mom before responding. He looked at Artemis and laughed. "You are little sister and while you try to deny it, you know it's true. You're Dad's little psycho and he can keep you. I'm not going to deal with any of this anymore. I refuse to take part in any of your damn jobs and I will not let myself be pulled down by the two of you." He stated, his voice steely and strong. "Spoil the psycho all you want with your screwed up ways. I'm done." He snapped at his dad.
"If you leave this house you're dead to me. No more money or support from me and you won't step another foot back in this house unless you want it cut off." Archer replied, his voice deathly quiet.
Daemon lifted his chin. "Fine. I'll pack my stuff and you won't see me again." He replied, determined. He spun on his heel and took off up the stairs.

Desiree hurried to follow Daemon upstairs. "No Daemon please don't do this! You and your father just aren't thinking clear right now is all, if you just sit and take a breather for a while we can all sit and talk this through!" She was just spilling everything that came to her, anything ANYTHING to keep her family from falling apart. She'd tried so hard for so long, why was this happening NOW?!
Artemis, stilled rattled up from her brother's words, started to scream. "I'M NOT A PSYCHO! I'M NOT I'M NOT I'M NOT!!!" she glanced down at the table and grabbed one of the newly sharpened knifes. She jerked her head to her father. "Let me cut him Daddy!! I can cut him Daddy I can make him BLEED!!" If Big Brother wanted psycho then he was gonna GET IT. If she couldn't hurt DAEMON though, then there was always his precious little Emma.

Daemon shook his head at his mom as he started to throw things in bags. "I can't Mom. I can't deal with this anymore and I can't associate with him anymore. He's a monster and I will not live with that in my life. You should just be glad I'm not like Artemis. At least I'm sensible enough to get out." He said as he made a mental list of what he would leave. He was only going to take the things he needed and wanted, everything else would be lost to him.
Archer turned and stared at Artemis with wide eyes. "Fuck." he muttered to himself as he realized who Artemis looked like in that moment... Hana. "Dammit, Artemis shut up and put the knife down!" He yelled. Whether Daemon knew it or not, Archer did have boundaries, and he wasn't going to allow Artemis to do something like that. He wasn't going to let her descend into the madness Hana was in, though he worried he was too late and Daemon was right when it came to Artemis. "If you're going to make anyone bleed, it'll be the government official we have an appointment with tonight. Ignore him and get back to work." He snapped.

It took a few moments, but Artemis' eyes widened as she realized what she had just said and shook her head as she came back to her senses. The youngest of the Speirs family rubbed her temple and closed her eyes for a second. That had never happened before, what was all that about?
She pushed the thought aside for the moment and nodded slowly to her father, letting her hand drop to her side. "R-right... Yes sir..." she muttered quietly as she sat back down and finished what she was doing, deciding not to speak again unless her dad needed her to.
Desiree was in tears as she watched her son pack. All this time she had been trying her hardest to give him a good life despite his family's history, and now this was the result. "Daemon, please," she pleaded as she fought back more tears. "you're all that's keeping me sane..." She was well on her way to turning into Archer when she had first started working with him, but the moment that Daemon came along everything changed. She had become a mother, and loved him and did everything she could for him, and it made her good again.

Daemon froze in his hurried packing and looked back at his mom. He saw her tears and his heart started to break. In a second he was at her side and had her wrapped in a hug. "I'm sorry Mom... I just... I can't let him have any control over me anymore and I can't be associated with him. I'm tired of feeling like the outcast because of him..." He squeezed her tightly. "Just because I'm leaving doesn't mean you won't see me. School isn't so far away, and we could always meet up at one of the interclan hangout places." He pulled back and whipped her tears away. "Don't cry... Don't think of it as me leaving, I'm just making a new life for myself, that's all." He hugged her again and rubbed her back soothingly. "Just please don't cry." He whispered.
Downstairs Archer was studying Artemis as he picked up his weapons to continue getting ready for work. Was she really descending into madness because of the things he'd taught her? Inwardly he shook his head. He'd raised a killer sure, but not a psycho. He had not raised a new Hana or Puff. He had to keep telling himself that. "How would you like to take out the target?" he asked her, hoping to get both his mind and her mind over what just happened.

Desiree hugged Daemon back just as tight, she didn't want to let her baby go. He had a point, they could still see each other, it wouldn't be the same though, it never would be.
The more she thought about it though, the more she realized that this was what her son needed. It was the perfect opportunity to get away and in the end would help him more than anything. He had the chance for a normal life, a better life. So as much as it broke her heart, she pulled back a little and smiled at him. "You're right, you'll be much better off." She kissed his cheek and hugged him again. "I love you so much, and I'm so proud of you." She was trying to hold back more tears from coming out for her son's sake, but it was just so hard.
Artemis looked up at her father wide eyed. He'd never let her do it before, that had always been his job. "Really?" she asked as she tried hiding the smile that was starting to form. That was the LAST thing she had expected him to say to her after what had just happened.

"Thanks Mom." Daemon said softly as he hugged his mom. He pulled away after a minute and stepped back. "Now, I've gotta finish getting packed. I'd rather not be near him anymore than necessary. Can you drive me and my stuff back to the dorms when I'm done?" He wasn't looking forward to leaving his mother, but he knew he'd see her again. He had to escape the life his father wanted for him. With that in mind he quickly threw things in duffle bags. Luckily he didn't have too much here that he needed.
Archer sat back down in his chair and waved a hand across the table. "Pick your method. Once you get an idea, we'll discuss it. It's about time you got to take part in the planning." He replied, his lips quirking up in to a slight smile at her enthusiasm.

Desiree nodded as she tried wiping off a few stray tears. "Yeah, I can take you." She'd be glad to be out of the house for a little while anyway. Hopefully she could stall coming back long enough so that when she finally came back Home Archer and Artemis would be off. Now that her husband knew that she had spoken with Jack, she knew he was going to have something to say to her, and she was NOT looking forward to that.
Artemis smiled a little more, looking down at the different weapons on the table. "Yeah, Ill think of something." It had to be GOOD too, she was not slipping up this chance.

Within fifteen minutes Daemon had two duffel bags filled with the things he needed and wanted to keep. He handed his mom one of the bags and hefted the other over his shoulder so he could also carry his keyboard. It was a gift from his mother from a few years ago and there was no way he was going to part with it. "That's everything I need." he told her, nodding towards the door so she'd head out first.
Archer pulled out the packet of information he'd collected on their target and passed it to his daughter. "Well, you better study that and decide soon. We need to get this done tonight."

Desiree took the other duffel bag and walked downstairs toward the door. She didn't bother glancing over to Archer or Artemis as she left the house with her son, deciding to spend some time around town after she dropped him off to clear her head. She couldn't help but feel so proud of her son though. Daemon had been raised in this, and he was decided to get out before it did anymore harm to him. He was braver than she ever could be, and she was so very grateful for that.
Artemis took the packet and started to skim through it. "Don't worry Dad." she said with a grin. "I've learned from the best after all." She was not going to disappoint him on this. Screw what Daemon said, Daddy had always liked her best.
