Becca wasn't sure what was worse about the city, the fact that they couldn't leave or the fact that the educational system was so lacking in good technical manuals. Rebbecca had always been a geek at heart, and a software kind of girl. Hell, her father had had a somewhat unscrupulous business associate who had given her the finer points of hacking. So that option for passing time was out and left Becca wandering the halls with Pester and a slightly sour disposition.
Maybe she could get Kaz and he'd come up with something to do, she hadn't been able to check up on him since they got settled in anyway...
Now that she thought of it, she hadn't had time to do much of anything. Defending her side of the room from the approaching Otaku Storm had been top-priority for the past few days... She shut her eyes as she walked and sighed, only to stop mere inches before colliding with another body as she felt the change in air-flow. Her eyes snapped open to see who the other person was...

Artemis had been walking around to find her older brother. They had gotten into a small argument the other day over the fact that her and their father had gone off on another one of the family jobs that required her specialty(in other words Torture), and she was going to see if he was still mad. Honestly, he was part of her family, shouldn't he enjoy that sort of stuff too?
While she wasn't paying attention to where she was going, she feel once she got a little too close to someone. The Tora stopped in her tracks and looked at who had gotten in here way. A girl, but she didn't seem too fashion forward. In fact she just didn't seem interesting at all, and that alone made Artemis decided she didn't like her.
Artemis glared at the girl and snapped at her. "I think you and that monstrosity," she nodded to the cat. "should watch where you're going. Just consider it a warning." She added the last sentence with a sly smirk.

Becca eyed the other young woman before arching a brow in response to her 'friendly advice.' Judging from her manner of dress her family was well-off, her grooming indicated much the same... And her personality screamed 'rich brat' to Becca's finely tuned ears.
"I doubt there's much of anything threatening enough to be needing a warning ABOUT." Becca replied curtly. She was a capable fighter, and while her father had taught her how to fight, her grandfather hadn't quite taught her the useful art of knowing WHEN to fight. Pester's fur fluffed out at the new arrival, it wasn't often he wasn't friendly, and Becca knew that for all his stupidity, her cat could peg a bad egg a mile away. "And I'm sorry your city treats the feline population as monsters, I'm sure that must have been a tearful realization to find the boogeyman had fur and ate from a dish." Her sarcasm was dripping from every word.

Artemis rolled her eyes and tossed her hair over her shoulder with a chuckle. "Oh my, oh my, you're a smart ass huh?" She said as her commonly used mock of a smile appeared. "You're obviously new around here, so I won't hold it against you this time. I'm Artemis Speirs, and most people tend to not try and piss my family off, we're rather well connected, shall I say?" How so she wouldn't go into detail, the whole 'Family of Assassins' thing was a secret for obvious reasons.
Her smile fell and she glared at her once again. "So step aside, and I'll ignore this ever happened. Do we have a deal, you worthless piece of trash?"

Oh, it was on. "Honey," Becca started out, not budging an inch or looking even remotely intimidated. "I've met the mob, the mafia, and a couple of out-of-work mercs in my time. You don't give off that vibe." Her eyes narrowed. "You're more of a scum-sucker, lower than the trash under my feet and about as useful. Raised on the finer things in life without working hard for a single bit of it."
Her stance was solid as she sized up the gal. She was what, a few years younger than herself? "So I suggest you give respecting your elders a try before I wind up reminding you why it's a good idea." Her voice held little emotion, but the gauntlet had been thrown and Rebecca Castella Vaughn had never backed down from a challenge.

Artemis raised a brow at the girl. "Things aren't always what they seem, Sweetie, didn't your parents teach you not to judge a book by it's cover?" She put a hand on her hip, and the other on the purse she had on her shoulder. Contrary to popular belief, Artemis was fully capable of handling herself in a fight, her appearance just tended not to show it.
"Look, I'm always wasting enough time as it is talking to a low life like you, so if you're going to do something then by all means do it." she challenged, somehow staying perfectly calm given her usual annoyance with people like this.

'Low life?' Was that REALLY the best the girl could do? Becca didn't move a muscle for a moment as she judged the pros and cons of fighting in the halls. Really the cons outweighed the pros... But at the end of the calculation, Becca just gave a shrug. "Alright then."
In a flash she had twisted and dropped, a leg snapping out to catch Artemis by the backs of her legs with enough force to topple . Pester, well-acquainted with being a hostage by now, bolted away from the budding fight. Good for Becca, she wouldn't have to worry about him getting in the way.

Artemis had prepared herself, managing to throw herself into a backflip to get away from the assault. Unfortunately she had no choice but to drop her purse in the process, so she didn't have her butterfly knife as ready to pull out as she normally did, but weapons would only get her more in trouble if they were caught.
She frowned as she stood up straight, tossing her hair behind her shoulder as she kept her eyes on the Ookami. "I'm not an idiot, I'll have you know." she spat out.

"Good," Becca replied flatly, still looking somewhat bored, "you might last." She widened her stance as she stood back up, arms raised in front of her as she shifted her weight to a better position. This would be a good way to kill time, and maybe knock a bully down a few pegs at the same time.

Artemis took a small breath to calm herself before she made any move. This girl wasn't dumb, and she decided that waiting on her to make a move would just be a waste of time. The Tora then swiftly ran towards her, picking her leg up just enough to use the high heel of her boot to jab into her stomach. She needed to get this over with and find her brother, dammit.

Becca flowed around the kick, grabbing the girl's leg and twisting around to get her free arm near enough to slam the elbow down VICIOUSLY at an angle to the knee, it would at least hurt like hell, if not dislocate the kneecap.
Twisting again, Becca thrust her weight back and into the younger Ookami to topple them backwards. Rebecca wasn't one to give up an advantage if she could help it.

Artemis clenched her teeth at the pain swelling up in her knee. Dammit, if she just had her knife on her this whole fight would turn around for her. This thought came to mind as she fell to the floor. She looked over and saw her purse, and the younger girl didn't hesitate to reach for the knife that was sticking out slightly.
In one swift movement Artemis had grabbed Becca by her shoulder and struck her with the knife.

Becca hissed in pain, it wasn't the first time she'd been stabbed (and likely wouldn't be the last) but that didn't mean it didn't hurt like HELL when it sunk into her shoulder. She lashed out with her good arm, snagging the other Ookami's wrist and TWISTED it. Her teeth gnashed together as she fought against the waves of pain coming from her shoulder, the sticky, cloying smell of blood growing stronger and stronger...

Artemis growled painfully as her wrist was twisted by the older girl. If she could get her to focus on she OWN pain, then maybe she'd let go of her. With this in mind the Tora reached for her knife with her free hand and dug it further into the Ookami's shoulder, then tried dragging it down her arm as best as she could. ANYTHING so she would let GO of her wrist!

Becca positively snarled in pain and jerked her shoulder to try dislodging the knife. She thrashed her legs, ramming her sharp joints into whatever flesh they could reach before she bit down HARD on the younger teen's upper arm. Teeth sinking hard and deep into unresisting flesh, blood flooding into the elder girl's mouth as she chomped.
