School had just let out for the day and Emma had wanted to drop by the music room real quick to take another look at the piano(assuming Daemon wasn't there of course). She stayed in the music room for a while, about twenty minutes or so, until she decided she'd better go soon before a teacher came by and got onto her.
The brunette went to grab her bags and stood up, not noticing the stitching on the side was starting to come undone. Instead she continued to walk down the hall, and managed to nearly make it out of the fine arts hall before the white and lavender stripped bag tore enough to make her books fall out completely. She flinched when one hit her foot while she walked, and quickly looked down to see the damage that was done.
She sighed. "Great..." she muttered, bending down quickly to grab her books and papers before someone came by and saw her. She had just gotten this bag too!

Hajime rounded the corner, happy to be going home after a long day of school. However, when he saw a small girl gathering together a pile of scattered books, he stopped. She seemed more than a little frustrated.
"You okay?" the Tora's voice came out much gruffer than he had originally intended.

Emma jumped a little when she heard the sudden voice, looking up to see the green haired teen. "O-oh, I-I'm fine!" she insisted, gathering up the last of her papers and standing up. "M-my bag just ripped was all, I'm gonna have to get a new one.." she sighed, and in doing that for a small second it caused her to relax her hold just enough to where her books and such fell yet again. She nearly threw her arms up in the air in frustration, but stopped herself and went back to picking them up for the second time. Today just wasn't her day...

Hajime blinked, watching the books and papers fall to the ground. He silently leaned over and held out one of the heavier textbooks. He wasn't great at casual conversation, and therefore couldn't think of anything decent to say.

The brunette glanced up to se him hold the textbook out, taking it in her own hands as she stood up with the rest of her things(for hopefully the last time). "Th-thanks." she stuttered, bowing her head just a little as she did so. She figured she should probably introduce herself and smiled sheepishly. "I'm Emma... Emma King." She wasn't sure what to think of this guy, he looked sorta scary? Then again, he was helping her out, and he seemed nice.

"Hajime Nakamura." He paused and then stood up (suddenly painfully aware of how tall he was). "You said your bag broke right? Do... do you mind if I see it for a sec?"

Emma raised an eyebrow for a second, a little confused. "Er, yeah, I guess." Too scared of letting go of her books once again, she moved her shoulder to face him, where she had slung the now torn bag over until she had a better way to carry it. She frowned a little. "My mom just got that for me for school, too." she didn't WANT to sound like she was complaining, but she kinda couldn't help it, it was annoying.

Hajime hesitated for a moment before reaching out and grab in the bag. He looked it over, quickly locating the spot where it had torn. It looked like a pretty easy fix. "I could fix it for you real quick." He glanced down at the shorter, suddenly regaining his social awkwardness with the eye contact. "Er... if you want."

Emma was honestly caught a little off guard with the offer. It was nice that he wanted to help her, just that... he knew how to sew or something? It wasn't bad, just a little different for a guy like him. She nodded her head a little, trying not to sound TOO insistent. "Well, only if you wanna, I don't wanna waste your time or anything, especially since I don't really know you.." She kinda wanted him to, it'd be a lot easier than getting another one all over again when she didn't even have any money to begin with. She just felt a little bad, even if it had been his idea in the first place.

"It should only take a minute." The rip was pretty big, but not at all complicated. Hajime quickly reached into his own bag and pulled out what looked like a pencil case. In actuality, the Tora kept it stocked with needles and various colors of thread (you never knew when you would need to fix something, and Hajime liked to stay prepared).
It suddenly occurred to him that holding all those books probably wasn't easy. "You can like, sit if you want. Those books look heavy." He hoped that hadn't sounded weird or anything.

Emma nodded, looking around real quick before sitting on the floor, setting her books beside her. "Thank you, Hajime." she spoke quietly, still feeling a little timid. From how it looked, Hajime didn't seem much like the talkative type himself. And now that she thought about it, his name sounded familiar...
"Oh!" she exclaimed, realizing where she'd heard it from. "You're my cousin's roommate, aren't you? Roman?" she asked, smiling a little now that she felt more comfortable knowing hat she wasn't the only one out of the two that wasn't use to talking to strangers.

"Uh, yeah. That's me." He sat down beside the Kuma girl, pulling the closer and turning it so that the tear was upright. Now that he thought about it, the Kings and Megumis were all related, weren't they? He should've guessed that Emma would've known Roman somehow when she introduced herself.
He perused through the assortment of threads until he found one that matched the color of the bag pretty closely. He threaded the needle rather quickly (which had taken years of practice), and began stitching the hole shut. "You cousin's pretty nice," he murmured, trying his best to make conversation.

Emma giggled a little and nodded. "Yep, he's a sweetie alright." She'd always had gotten along with Roman, just a tad more than Perri. She was alright... sometimes, she just didn't like how she was always sneaking out and lying to her Aunt Keisko. "He mentioned you to us the other day when we saw him, it's nice to know he's got a friend outside of the family." Honestly, Roman didn't deserve all the hate he was getting from people, it made her mad that they liked pushing him like that.

"I think my family feels the same way about me." Hajime actually cracked a smile at that. "I think they were worried I'd grow up to be one of those crazy old ladies that live alone with twenty cats."

Emma giggled a little more at that. "That's pretty funny." It was an amusing thought, trying to picture Hajime as a cat person like that. Appearance wise, he just didn't fit the part. She giggled to herself a little more and pushed herself to get the thought out of her mind.
"So what made you wanna learn how to sew?" She asked curiously, watching him sew the bag back together for her. He was pretty good, it looked like he'd been doing it for a while.
