Madoka laid on the ground beside City Hall, watching people going in and out of the building. It was mainly children going to get drafted into their clans. Madoka smiled to herself as she thought back on how eager she was to get drafted just a year ago. She held her arm in the air to show the green band indicating her status as an Ookami, watching it like it was some kind of treasure. After a few moments, she let her arm fall back down and put it behind her head, as she gazed at the sky.
"It's so pretty." she whispered. Madoka was pretty bored that day, and she didn't feel like doing much but stare at the clouds floating pass her.
One normal days she would worry about what people walking by would think of her just laying there all by herself, but today was different for some reason. She felt free. Not the kind of free that she let her friends believe she was, when she acted all hyper and goofy. That was just a front she put up most of the time. Today, she actually felt like she could go on without any worries in her life, almost like her life had been simple from the start.
She wondered how long this would last.

Akio wondered by the city hall, his purple wristband attached to his arm at his side. He looked towards a person laying on the ground, eyeing her own wristband. She must have liked her clan. Akio envied that, it's really hard to like the people you stay with your whole life. He walked up towards her and sat down by her, looking at the clouds that she was looking at.
He didn't think that now was the good time to start a conversation. She was probably in thought and in a meditative state. He would allow her to finish. Hm...it seems as if the system is working just fine. I can already tell that it's going to take some work. Hopefully, though, one day my dream will be revealed. As he thought this, he couldn't help but wonder what the person next to him was thinking about.

Madoka turned her head to the person beside her. She blushed slightly, trying to supress a grin. Why did the guy sit next to her all of a sudden? Things were silent for a while, and she was beginning to wonder why he wasn't speaking. She looked and found that he was a Kuma, seeing the purple band he wore. He seemed like a nice guy. She decided to pull herself together and say something.
"Bored too, huh?" she asked casually. She usually jumped up and smiled hyperly, but once again, today she seemed different and just continued to look at the sky as she spoke to him, being more calm than usual.

Akio smiled and looked at her. "Bored? No, I don't really get bored much. I'm usually impressed." He looked up at the sky. "The clouds...at the mercy of the wind. And the wind creates the clouds. The clouds are the perfect being, understanding and serving only what creates them." As he stared at her, he couldn't see much in her eyes. He only saw change.
He tried his best to analyze her but it wasn't working very well. She had only said one thing. "So what brings you here?" He wasn't one to be curious, and he really wasn't curious, but he wanted to find out more about this person. Still, the inner peace inside him didn't really seem to radiate. He hadn't meditated for a very long time.
He was barefoot, as always. He wore a white t-shirt with blue pants. His white hat was on top of his head as it always was. It still seemed, though, that he was missing something. His purple eyes didn't shine with the inner peace that they normally did.

Madoka smiled warmly. "Oh nothing. There hasn't been anything going on much today and this seemed like a good place to relax for the moment." thing were silent once again. This guy seemed pretty smart to Madoka. She turned and looked at him directly for the first time. she saw something strange in his violet eyes. She couldn't put her finger on it, but from what she could tell, well, she honestly... couldn't tell anything. She was never good at analyzing people. But she did know she saw something, although she couldn't tell what.
She shook her head, trying to come back into focus. "Uh... My name's Madoka Mizu." She held her hand out as she positioned herself into a sitting position. "Nice to meet you Blondie."

Akio smiled at his new pep name. "Nice to meet you miss Mizu. My name is Akio Nyuhara." His body seemed almost frozen. His eyes began to get a bit of the same quality of peace-bringing they used to. Akio forced himself to quickly meditate between each moment of silence. He noticed a few qualities about her seeming to show up.
"Relaxation does sound like a good thing." Akio said, now commenting on her earlier comment. Truth be told he hadn't gotten much. He was planning something big and in order to carry out that plan he needed a few series of random events to occur. In order for this to happen, he had to drop out of a few conversations which made him look like a bad person.

Madoka nodded. There was something different about Akio than there was from all the other people she had met since going into Ookami. It was like he had his mind fixed on something. Something close to his heart. If this was the case, Madoka truly envied it. There was no real thing she had to look forward to. She often hid behind the smile and activeness her friends saw everyday, looking like a carefree person when in truth she was secretly searching for meaning in this excuse for a life she had.
"Akio... Akio... Hmm..." she said, more to herself then to her new friend. She suddenly smiled bigger and looked at him again. "'Kio, that sounds cool." she giggled light heartedly. "Oh, and just call me Madoka, please."

Akio smiled at his second pep-name. "Madoka? I apologize, Miss Mizu, but it is my place to put others, all living things that is, above me. I am not yet a monk, and until I become one, I will be one of the lowest things there are. So until then, Miss Mizu, I must address you formally for you are above me."
It was one of the hardest concepts for people to understand. Nobody liked being addressed formally, yet Akio had the need to put himself below other people. It was because he was not yet a monk, and no matter how people addressed him and what people told him, he would never achieve that goal for he had no gift in which to obtain that goal. All he could do was use the knowledge his former teacher had taught him to benefit society.

Madoka was about to protest, but realized she shouldn't. He seemed pretty fixed on calling her formally. If that was what he was used to, she would accept that. She had no right to force people to do things anyway.
"A monk, huh? That's something you don't quite hear everyday." she said to him. "Does that mean, you, like, can't marry in the future or something like that?" she paused after the question she just asked. Why was she asking something so stupid? She automatically regretted asking. "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't have the right to ask that." great, now she sounded like a complete moron. 'Way to go, Madoka.' she thought harshly to herself.

Akio smiled, "Well miss Mizu, the role of a monk has changed. Love is forbidden for monks, yes, but marriage is a form of union that even a monk can use. That being said, it is hard to proceed into marriage without love first. I'm fine with it though." Akio stared onwards at the clouds. "Don't hurt yourself for it. It's a good question to ask."
"Not many people have taken an interest in me." Akio blinked a couple of times. "Anyways, what's going on in your life?" Akio was still a teenager. Fighting the constant hormones that flowed through him proved to always be quite the struggle. Frankly, he more often then not had won those struggles. He had so much control over himself it was almost sad.

Madoka frowned. "Not that much, to tell you the truth. My life's a lie." wait, why was she being so open all of a sudden? This was weird for her, but she actually felt like talking about it for once. Was it something to do with the whole 'being free' thing? She didn't know, but she remained silent again, waiting on Akio to say something in reply.

"Your life is a lie? Why live in a lie. You should be honest with yourself." Akio stared in her eyes, the feeling of peace and understanding would go towards her. He was a master of the human mind, he could read many different emotions and many different sayings. "If you aren't honest with yourself nobody wins." Akio smiled, "Then again, I'm in no situation to be telling anyone how to live their life."

"Well it's just..." Madoka began to say. She didn't know how to word it, but she tried her best without giving anything away. "I feel one thing and show my friends something completly different. They always think of me as this hyper, fun- loving, child like girl... when the truth is, I'm not really sure who I am anymore. You see, there was this--" she cut herself off. She hadn't told anyone about what she had exprienced and there was no way she was going to spill now. She had to keep it to herself. She didn't want others to feel pitty or concern for her, it only made her feel worse. "Uh... forget it..."

"I am trying to be a man of peace, both inward and outward. Not telling me what your burden is, Miss Mizu, is worse then anything you could tell me." Akio looked at her, "Please tell me what has happened to you. I will not treat you differently, I've heard far worse then what you could tell me I assure you." Akio almost felt as if he wanted to help this person instead of needed to. It couldn't be that, though, for Akio was already to in-tune with himself to think differently then he acted.

Madoka blushed at Akio's words. She really wanted to tell him, but she was afraid that the mask she had been wearing for the pass three years would shatter if she did. She soon wrapped her arms around her legs tight, hitting her knee with her forehead gently. After a while she gave up, she tooka deep breath, and began.
"Well... my mom died when I was born, so all my life I wondered to myself if it was all because of me, if I hadn't exsisted, maybe she would still be alive. Me and my father were... close, in a way I guess, and things were fine for a while, I had friends and a loving father. But then... when I was eleven someone broke into our house and stabbed my dad to death right in front of me... I still see it when I sleep... the screams, the blood, everything." she tried holding back her tears, and kicked herself mentally when a few escaped her eyes. She hated looking so weak.
