“Making friends isn’t very hard, you just have to get over the initial fear of opening up to others. That’s where confidence comes in. Believe in yourself and others believing in you come naturally.” Daemon replied finishing off the song and morphing into another Debussy song. He felt like his words were something you’d hear in a counselor office and he chuckled to himself. “Sorry, I’m going off on a bit of a tangent there.” He said chuckling again.

Emma let out a strained laugh. "It's alright, I'm just not use to talking to others all that much." she rubbed her arm again. She normally just stayed with her brother a lot, and the occasional friends that she really only talked to every now and then. Then of course there were her cousins, but they were older than her by a good bit, so she really didn't count them unless they were outside of school.

Daemon chuckled lightly. "I wouldn't have guessed." he teased, switching to another bouncy fun song. "Don't worry though, we all go through that at some point." Daemon went through it when middle school first started, but then he realized that he'd have more fun talking to others. "But talking to others gets easier with practice, much like playing piano."

"Yeah, I guess." she agreed quietly. She really didn't know why he was giving her all this advice. It's not that she didn't appreciate it, it was just... weird, really and she didn't know how to respond much. "Th-thanks, I guess. For the advice." she didn't know what else to say, and she wasn't really one for awkward silences, but she obviously wasn't that talkative either so she was at a hard spot sort of.

Daemon winced to himself. He didn't even realize he'd been giving so much advice, thinking back to what he said, everything sounded like it. He chuckled at himself and shook his head as he continued to play. "Sorry, I work with the counselors a lot, they tend to rub off. My dad also gives a lot of advice, it's a bit of a habit to be honest." he replied, morphing his song into something soft and sweet.

Emma shook her head a little to assure him, though it was obvious that it was a little forced. "You're okay..." she told him, still trying to be polite. She looked back to the door once again and stepped toward it slightly. "I'm sure Tyler and Anya are looking for me by now, so I should probably get going..." she didn't bother explaining who they were or how they were related, she just wanted an excuse for her to leave. Though the thought occurred soon after that he probably knew Anya and that she probably shouldn't have mentioned her name.

Daemon stopped playing and spun around on the seat. "Did you say Anya? As in Anya King?" He asked. He and Anya had a few classes together over the past. They were on friendly enough terms, but Anya was a bit on the wild side. He got a kick out listening to her at times, she could be quite hilarious.

Emma stopped yet again and sighed mentally, turning back to him and smiling slightly. "Yeah, she's my cousin, along with the Megumi's. We're all pretty close." Perri was fun enough when she wasn't throwing a fit, and although Roman was quiet enough so was she, so they got along well enough.

Daemon chuckled lightly. "Well then, that must be a very interesting family. So I'm guessing you're a King as well?" He asked curiously. He also knew the two Megumi's. He didn't really talk to Perri but Roman was a good guy.
He could tell she wanted to leave, but he liked talking to her. Plus his advice did need to be put into effect at least a little bit. She could get plenty of practice talking to him. Sadly though they didn't have too much longer until the bell would ring and send her away.

Emma nodded. "Yeah, Emma King." she said, scratching her head again. "That's me." she laughed lightly. "Umm, since you know my last name, it's only fair that I get yours, right?" she tried, curious since he figured out her own family name. It was a fair trade right? And if she was right, the bell should be ringing soon for class and she's have no choice but to leave.

Daemon smiled. "You're right. Speirs, Daemon Speirs... Actually, you probably know my little sister, she's starting here as well." He replied. He still assumed Emma was a freshman like Artemis. He stood up and stretched. He stood quite a bit taller than Emma, though he was taller than most kids in high school regardless.

Emma blinked in surprise and nodded once again. "Yeah, I've seen her around." Now that he mentioned in, she could see the resemblance. She wasn't exactly a big fan of Artemis by any means though, she was just so rude and always thought she was better than everyone else. "You seem a lot more... friendly than she is." she told him honestly.

Daemon couldn't help but laugh. "Yea, Artemis can be a bit... volatile. She's not always bad, just 99% of the time, but I still love her." he teased, smiling lightly at the thought of his little sister, who was likely walking around the school now. "I like to think I'm a lot more friendly than most people." he added with a smile and a shrug. He tried not to judge people and didn't like to exclude anyone from anything.

Emma smiled a little more. "Well that's good." she said before hearing the bell go off. She tried her best not to look relieved and waved at him as she headed to the door. "Well it was nice talking to you, but I really gotta go! Bye!" she laughed a little to sound friendlier and went on her way. Daemon wasn't a bad guy, in fact he seemed really nice. But there was something that felt off, and maybe it just had to do with her not being use to talking to other people too much.
She pushed the thought to the side and started her hunt for her brother. He had to be there somewhere...

Daemon lifted a hand in a slight wave. "You too, Emma. Good luck finding your brother!" he called as she darted out the door. He ran a hand through his hair and shook his head at himself. He hated to see her go, oddly enough. He liked talking to her and he wanted to know more about her, as well as see her play more piano. He dropped his hand and smiled to himself then headed off to class.
