Cross' eyes widened slightly. She shook her head, she didn't think it was lame at all. "Does it... does it actually help... er- work?" she asked carefully, her steps slowing without her notice. She missed her brother like crazy and if something like that actually helped the pain of losing them... well, it was something she might want to explore. She'd go through the pain of a tattoo if it meant that she might be able to handle Adrian's absence better. She never admitted it, not even to Frankie, but there were some nights where his absence hurt too much and she'd end up crying all night. Those were the worst.

Frankie nodded, understanding where her train of thought was going. "Most of the time." he replied before explaining. "Death isn't something you can get over, the pain just tends to gradually go down until you can live a normal life. The tattoo helps to remind me that it's not all over and that I have a chance at seeing them again, I guess that's what really cheers me up about it." he shrugged. "It's a good reminder, to know that they're watching over you somewhere up there, wouldn't you say?" he smiled softly, knowing that she was thinking of Adrian. He was a good guy, there was no way he wasn't watching Lele up where ever he was.

Cross looked down at their joined hands, studying his tattoo again. She could understand what he meant, even if she wasn't very religious. It would be a great reminder. She nodded lightly and looked back up to make sure they weren't getting lost. "Yea, it does seem like it'd be a good reminder... You said them, there's more than Greg?" she asked, confused.
"Oh, we're here!" she exclaimed, brightening up. She moved back some foliage and stepped into the slightly open area. It was a small pond nestled in with the trees. It wasn't very big, but the sun shone down on it nicely. Oddly enough it was clear for a pond. She had a feeling it was created by an underground aquifer.

Frankie quietly sighed in relief when she quickly changed topics at the sight. It really was beautiful, and something like that shouldn't have been interrupted by the mention of his once little sister.
He quickly changed his thinking and looked around. "How did you find this place, Lele...?" he asked, somewhat distracted as he looked around. As many times as he'd been here in the forest, he hadn't noticed a pond in here before. The river, yeah, it was a little too out there to miss, but this, it looked like not that many people came and visited it.

Cross released his hand and walked to the water's edge, crouching and running her hand through the water. She smiled looking down at the water, a few minnows nipped at her fingers causing her to giggle at the feeling. "I have a lot of time on my hand and the forest is really relaxing, so I come out here a lot. It's fun exploring... Besides, it's Kuma territory so it's a safe zone and it's not like anyone comes out here much." she shrugged and dragged her fingers through the water some more. "I was following a rabbit one day and it darted in here." she finished explaining, still smiling down at the pool of water.

Frankie sat down beside her, crossing his legs on the grass and looking down at the pond. "Well ya got a good find." he said, reaching into the pond with his hand for a moment or two. "The water's so clear, it's weird." Stuff like this was normally murky and all, wasn't it? Or maybe it was just him being crazy, either way he certainly liked it. "Oh yeah, we're definitely visiting this place often now." he winked at her and grinned. "It'll be our little spot."

Cross sat back to get out of her crouch and copied Frankie's Indian Style. She looked over and smiled. "Sounds like a good plan to me." She glanced back down at the water and skimmed her hand across the surface. "I think it's fed by an underground aquifer or something. or even an underground river. It's a pretty deep pool. I love it though... it's strange and beautiful." she murmured the last bit more to herself, though she was sure he could hear, the place was almost completely silent.

"Sure is." he nodded in agreement. He took the time to look around and the scenery, it really was a sight to see, and somewhere along the way his eyes fell on Leanna. She was normally so loud and pumped up, and now she was just the opposite, it was kind of strange to imagine, but there she was. She looked so...
Frankie felt his cheeks warm up and he quickly looked back down at their reflections in the pond. "So why were you asking about the tattoo?" he asked her. "Thinking about getting one?" He raised a brow at her.

Cross continued to run her hands through the water and nodded. "When you told me how it kinda helped... well, I could use something like that." She said softly, glancing at Frankie's reflection in the water. His reflection moved as her hands drifted though the water. "I could go through the pain for him..." she added quietly.

After listening to her for a little bit, Frankie took his hand out of the water, shaking it off a little bit before wrapping the arm around her. "I understand, trust me." he murmured softly. He did, going through the death of not only one, but two siblings. The pain had been too much for him to deal with for the longest, and though he'd slowly gotten over it, he still had his times when it hurt more than he could bare.

Cross leaned into Frankie's side and closed her eyes. "I know." she murmured. Nobody but Frankie truly knew how it was, both because he knew Adrian and because he'd lost people too. Though she had an added pain... the fact that she'd seen it happen. "It just never gets easier... some days are alright but others it all comes rushing back." she added, her voice cracking slightly.

Frankie nodded. "I know, I know..." he said gently. "It won't always be easy, but no matter what, you know I'm here for you, ya got that?" he looked down at her and smiled softly. "You won't have to worry about me leaving you, I promise." She was all he really had left too, why would he leave her? He cared for her, so much more than he could describe. He felt his heart beat a little faster with each word he spoke to her, it was all true, he couldn't imagine ever losing her...

Cross' eyes opened up slowly. She didn't want to move so she just stared at Frankie's reflection which was still. "How can I not worry?" her voice broke. "You promise you won't leave... but what if you can't help it?" she pushed away a little, just enough to look at him, tears brimming in her eyes. "What if someone takes you from me, like they did Adrian? I won't be able to go through that again. I've lost too many people Frankie." her voice broke again. Her tears brimmed over as she searched his brown eyes.

Frankie chuckled gently and cupped her cheek with his other hand. "I'm not gonna let that happen, I know too much what can happen and there's no way in Hell I'm letting you feel that way twice." He touched his forehead with hers so to assure her even more. He smiled as he looked into her eyes. "Leanna Adriana Cross, I, Francis Gage Bennson, promise I will never let anything come between us. Not people, not things, and certainly not death." He spoke with firmness and power he usually never showed to people, but this seemed to be a good time as any for it. He paused for a moment to let her get her thoughts together. "Do you believe me?"

Cross choked up and couldn't answer verbally so she nodded against his forehead. She knew that he couldn't exactly keep that promise, but she hoped that he could so much that she convinced herself to believe it. She placed her hand on his which held her cheek and gave him a soft smile. "Thank you." she whispered, gripping his hand tightly. "That goes both ways you know." She added softly.
