For a moment Kaji thought he felt his cheeks heat up, but much to his relief there wasn't any signs of his infamous tomato-red flush. "Yeah... Here and there. I mean, he's taking care of my cat now so..." Though that technically made Elliot THEIR cat, the Ookami supposed. But he'd rather not think of the joint-ownership between him and the other redhead. Not while his emotions where all helter-skelter.

Sky's eyes lit up at the mention of the cat. "You have a cat~?!" She practically sang in delight. "I LOVE cats! Tell me about 'em! Oh! And the three of us should hang out sometime, we really should~!" She giggled, hoping Kaji wouldn't think about her as annoying right now. He normally didn't, which was great, but Sky was never good at picking up these things.

Kaji couldn't help but smile at Sky's enthusiasm. "Well as for the cat, her name's Elliot. She a gluttonous little fur ball who will eat anything you put in front of her." There was a sort of fondness in the Ookami's eyes as he spoke. "She doesn't like strangers all too much, but it seems she's taken to Jamie well enough."

Sky's smile seemed to grow brighter and brighter as Kaji talked about the little cat. "Do you think I could meet her some time?" She asked innocently. "I love cats, and I could bring some stuff for her to munch on if you told me what she likes~" She giggled happily. The Tora was a quite a fam of food too, particulary sweets though. Most people wouldn't think of her to be one to eat as much as she actually did, it was a wonder how she stayed so fit.

"Sure. I'd bet she'd like that. As long as you bring her food, anyway." Although she was kind of at Jamie's apartment, so it would probably make more sense to ask HIM for permission. Still, he couldn't imagine the Irishman saying no to Sky (he couldn't really see ANYONE doing that).

"Yay~!" Sky cheered, clapping quietly out of joy. "Does she like anything inparticular? I can bring anything with me!" She really could, Kaji should know by now that she had money to spend. "You name it, I'll get it, and I could also bring over some other food for me, you, and Jamie! We could have a little party!" She was getting excited now~!

There was a short, thoughtful pause before Kaji spoke. "She really likes dried Sardines. But honestly, she really will eat anything." It was amazing how Elliot stayed so small with how much she ate. She wasn't an outdoor cat or anything, so it wasn't like she was extraordinarily active.

Sky named a mental note as she nodded her head. "Sardines, gotcha!" She smiled merrily. She loved this, this meant more people to hang out with! And as a plus, she got to play with a little cat! Kaji seemed like he'd be a great friend, a best friend even. Possibly Jamie too, she hadn't had a best friend since middle school, this was great!
The pinkette thought for a moment or two and giggled a little as she spoke. "Kendall, by the way." She told him before clarifying. "Sounds like a boy name, but it's my first name." Most people tend to prefer calling her Sky when ever she had told them her first name, so she'd given up on even mentioning it to people these days. But if Kaji was going to be as good of a friend to her as she was hoping, she could at least tell him, right?

Kendall, huh? Kaji decided to file that information away for later. "I think Sky suits you better, anyways." Like how the pink hair suited her. Everything just seemed to tie into the Tora's bubbly personality.

She giggled again. "Yeah, most people say that." She agreed. "My mom picked Skylar for my middle name, I think it was 'cause it rythmed with my dad's name." She shrugged. "'Course my dad insisted my first name sound similar to Mom's. I always thought it was kinda odd how they wanted to name me after each other." She shrugged again and smiled. "Was there a special reason your parents named you Kaji?" She asked curiously.

Kaji momentarily blanched. "Um, well... Kaji kinda means fire and you've seen my hair..." He fingered his flaming red locks awkwardly. "But now that I think about it she may have just forseen certain aspects of my personality." He glanced back at Sky with a smile. "I guss my mom just had a cruel sense of humour."

Sky giggled. "That's funny~" she said merrily. She looked at Kaji for a moment and smiled brighter as the redhead smiled. "You need to smile more often, you look nice like that." Everyone looked better with a smile on their face, even some of the most unusual people."Hasn't anyone ever told ya that~?" Another giggle.

"Not exactly," the redhead responded quietly. Of course his mother had told him that plenty of times and so had Yuna... but no one else really stuck out in particular. Kaji was pretty sure one of his very small number of ex-boyfriends might have said something similar once or twice, but no one had ever said anything that had stuck. Maybe he didn't smile enough for anyone to notice.

"Well," Sky began. "You should! You look great with a smile on that face of yours." She tilted her hair to the side a little. "No one's really complimented on your smile before?" She overheard people mentioning hers plenty of times in the past. "You need to be happy more!" She exclaimed enthusiastically, eyes beaming.

Kaji snorted skeptically, but he was still smiling, albeit wryly so. "Easier said than done, I'm afraid." Honestly, he couldn't really remember the last time he had been completely happy. Sure, there had been moments, but... Well, Kaji had always been a little broken deep down ever since his mom had died. Maybe longer. The feeling had been there so long he couldn't even remember when it had actually started.
