Keisko stared down in her drink, unsure what to say for a moment. She'd heard about the things that she'd gone through but she didn't know it did that much to her psych. She was slightly confused about who she meant when she said she'd already seen a person she loved die... but she figured it was similar to her own experience.
She sighed and dropped her head. "I don't know how to deal with it... I deal with death and sickness every day and it just reminds me of him more... I have nightmares and see his broken body every night. I found that drinking helps because I'll pass out and have a dreamless night... but I just have to wake up and do it all over again the next day." she confessed brokenly. Her heart was breaking all over again just thinking of it. It was too much to deal with.

Hotaru sighed. "I know the feelings." she admitted. "Maybe not exactly, but... I guess it'll be easier if I explain." The redhead turned back to check on Minori before she started her story.
"Back in the day my best friend was murdered." she said, blunt and to the point. "It was long before I'd met Jack, his name was Greg. In fact, his brother's that Frankie guy." she hadn't gotten to really talk to him yet, she just knew who he was. "We'd fallen in love with each other and never said anything until then. We were under attack and I was cornered. Greg..." she took a deep breath. "Greg had gotten in the way of a bullet. He was already bleeding to death but felt it was important to protect me.
"I thought my life was over, there was no point in living anymore." she continued sadly. "I didn't have anyone around, Eva had been my only friend and I'd pushed her away from me after that. It was the dumbest thing I'd ever done. It was like everywhere I turned I saw him again. Every time I'd turn on the tv it seemed like there was always some story about a gang fight, or some teenager who had died that was in a gang." Another breath.
"But just when I thought I was done for, Jack came into my life, and he helped me and brought me back to normal. I started to get more friends and I felt like Life could go on again. You can't shut people out of your life just because you're hurting, you need to let them in and help you. That's the only way you'll start to feel better eventually."

Keisko stayed quiet through Hotaru's story and when the red head was finished, Keisko sat in stunned silence. Hotaru knew exactly what she was going through... not only that she'd lost both boys when they were trying to protect or save her. Keisko knew that had to weigh on the redhead's conscious pretty heavily.
She took a sip of her drink before replying. She looked up at Hotaru with tear filled eyes. "I never had the chance to tell him I love him... and talking to anyone just hurts."

Hotaru nodded with Keisko. "I know it hurts, but it's always darkest before the dawn, right?" she tried. "It's gonna hurt for a while, and at time it's gonna feel like there's no way out, but you'll come out stronger in the end. Hell, it took me three years to realize that." she gently took the drink away from the Ookami and rubbed her back some. "It'd only taken me that long 'cause I'd alienated myself, please don't make that mistake." she pleaded.

Keisko nodded slightly as she withdrew her hands and placed them in her lap. She stared down at the wood bar, her eyes dancing over the lines. "I've always been alienated though... it's hard to get out of the habit... now I just have a proper reason." she admitted softly. She was a wanderer until her rock, Matsu, came along... now she'd lost the rock but she was stuck in one spot due to work and a house. She was a sitting duck wallowing in her own black thoughts.

Hotaru smiled softly. "That's what I thought at first too." she agreed. "You've gotta find a reason to move on. I don't mean forgetting him, we all loved 'Suda." Hell, AIDEN had even been close to him, that in itself was a miracle. "Just take it one day at a time, try to talk to someone." Whether it was herself or Minori or anyone.
She turned back to her cousin. "He's especially gonna need someone to help him get through this." He had actually witnessed it first hand, she probably knew better than most what was going through his head.

Keisko knew Hotaru was right, more than right, but it still hurt nonetheless. She glanced at the passed out redhead and sighed. "You're right... I think Mini and I trying to get through this together could help." Alone neither of them would be able to get through it. Whether Keisko wanted or not, she had to reach out to someone... Mini seemed like a great person to be that someone. It would help them both after all.

Hotaru nodded. "That sounds like a plan to me." she agreed. "I think we need to do something with him..." she trailed off. He needed to be cleaned up, and get him to a place where he could actually sleep, she'd probably take him to her home until he came to.

"I could take him back to Ookami's HQ or to my house, it's not far." Keisko offered with a shrug. She needed to talk to him anyways and there was no telling when she'd see him again. She also had some thinking to do for herself.

Hotaru looked back at Keisko and smiled. "If you're sure. I could help you carry him if you went to your house, since your headquarters is out of the question for me." she volunteered. Mini was thin, and as light as a feather, but it still wouldn't hurt to try and help.

Keisko nodded and slid away from the bar. She hopped down from the stool carefully. She'd drank a few drinks, but she was able to hold her liquor a lot better now so there was no problem. "Best leave sooner than later." she muttered, mostly to herself as a way to convince herself to leave.

Hotaru stood up and took one of Minori's arms and threw it over her shoulder. "Your place then?" she asked to confirm before they went on their way. She saw Mini move a little in his sleep, but quickly went limp once again.
