Sam walked with Cross and the albino Russian girl, Mikka, as they approached the mansion. Technically, the inventor was part of Keisko's support team, but he had some unfinished business to take care of, just to make sure any hitches in Cross and Mikka's plan could be ironed out with due swiftness. As they neared the established perimeter of detection (determined by Sam's access to satellite photos of the mansion), Sam stopped both of his companions, putting a hand on Mikka's shoulder and placing his other hand gently on Cross's wrist.

Cross's mind was racing. She was ready to get this over with. She wanted her best friend back and she wanted Hana done with. She didn't care how it went down as long as everyone got out from their team alive and well, with their friend. She paused as Sam stopped and grabbed her wrist. She looked up from the ground and frowned. She wasn't sure why he was coming with them. She'd made herself clear on the fact that he wasn't going to go in. "What?" she snapped. She was already on edge so she couldn't help it. She was racing and ready to get this over with.

Mikka glanced between Sam and Cross. Being the attentive person she was, the Russian could easily sense that there was "something" going on. Of course she didn't know what, but the specifics didn't matter.
"Dobore utro." Mikka smiled and gave a tiny wave, cutting into whatever answer Sam had to their other companion's irritation.

Sam raised an eyebrow quite briefly in Mikka's direction. Having never learned Russian, he was in no condition to guess at what she said. His attention flickered back to Cross, whose eyes suggested she was jumping to conclusions because of stress. Sam gave her a placating expression before telling her and Mikka what he needed to say.
"I know I'm not going in," he said, just to clear the air. "but I have one more thing I wanted to share with you." This was mostly said to Cross (Mikka didn't seem very interested in his technology, though for equality's sake, she would not be left out) as Sam removed his hand from Mikka's shoulder and dug into a spacious pocket on the side of his jeans. Out came two sets of earpieces that could have been earrings with earphones attached. Each pair was simple in design, though still appearing as jewelry, and was bound magnetically. Sam handed one pair to Mikka, and placed the other pair deliberately in Cross's hand. "If they've got some sort of trap set up, I don't want to sit by helplessly when I know I can do something. These earpieces will allow us to communicate, but will also allow me to see and hear what's around you. I'll have simultaneous normal view, ultraviolet, and infrared scans of your surroundings." Sam paused for as long as he dared, trying to put his next sentence together as flawlessly as possible. A moment later, he spoke. "I... I don't want to have to think about you getting hurt." It didn't come out as eloquent as he had desired, but Sam supposed it would have to do, with the stress Cross was experiencing.

Cross's eyes snapped up to Sam's in shock. She should have expected something like this but it hit her like a wave of bricks. She was knocked off her feet, so to speak. Silently she looked at the communicators then put them on. She noted with amusement the more... awkward side of the communicators. She just hoped she wouldn't forget it was in.
She looked back at Sam and smiled lightly. "Don't worry bout it. We'll be fine. If anything come in with one of your epic gadgets." she said smiling before adding to it. "But, don't come in unless I tell you to." She looked at the two and smiled. "We've got this." Her stress and the build up was gone, which was great. She was more focused and less likely to make mistakes now.

"Yes, me and gos..." Mikka paused, reminding herself to avoid using so much Russian at once. "...me and mister crowbar can handle this fine, and Cross is a super-awesome bonus, so we'll do just fine!" The Russian gave a thumbs up with one hand and twirled her crowbar around her gloved fingers with the other. Her favorite weapon had been wiped completely clean, shining despite how often Mikka used it. She took good care of it, even if it was easy to pick another one up in the city. They had been through a lot together over the years.
The Ookami girl shook the hair out of her face, clipping the communicators on. "Are you ready, comrade?" She turned to Cross with a smile.

Cross nodded to Mikka and smiled. She was so glad the russian was on her team and not the psychos. "Sure am." she turned to Sam with a grin. "Remember, only if I tell you to." she warned. "I've got Mikka here, we're gonna be great." She winked and kissed his cheek, knowing she was throwing him off, then turned and started back to the house. They were going in the front door. She looked back and waved to Sam. "I'll see you in a bit Sammy. Let's go Mikka. We've got a girl to get rid of." she said the last line with steely determination.

"Uh-huh..." Sam said in response to Cross's last sentence to him, rubbing absentmindedly at the cheek where her lips had made contact. Was his declaration of worry for her related to something else that she had noticed, of which Sam had not yet been made aware? It was of no matter right now, whatever it was. When the mission was done and Cross was safe, he'd have time to figure this out.

Mikka gave a little "finger-wave" in Sam's direction before turning and heading towards their target destination. The Russian was positively giddy, her body was filled with energy she could hardly contain. She was itching for a fight; her smile with broad and her eyes were bright with cheery bloodlust. It was at times like these that her truly barbaric side had a tendency to arise, making the girl seem more animal than human. It was useful for fighting, but not exactly for making friends. Not that she was at all concerned with the latter at the moment.
"You do not have to worry one bit, Miss Cross. Mister crowbar and I are a master team and we shall, how you say, have your back the whole time."

Cross smiled at the Russian. "Well I'm very glad for that. I think we're going to have to catch Hana first... I'd like to have to have a talk with her. She's a twisted little girl."
Cross's eyes darkened and her thoughts turned to Hana. This would be the last time she had to deal with her.
The reached the door and walked in. They could hear the boys fighting elsewhere as they wandered looking for the girl. Cross was on edge. She had a feeling Hana would be in the open somewhere...

Hana saw three boys walk into Big Brother's room. A huge smile crept across her face as she skipped out of her own room in search for someone else for her to play with. She started to giggle a little when she saw Cross of all people! "Lookie here~!" she giggled in delight. "If it isn't an old playmate of mine! Long time no see, Crossie~" she looked over at the other girl that was with her and waved with the hand that wasn't holding her purse. "Hi there lady, I'm Hana!"

Mikka was smiling, but her eyes flickered with an animal-like hostility.
"Privet, malen'kii rebenok," she replied, matching the other girl's tone perfectly. "I am Mikka." The Russian's grin widened as she titled her head to the side, her crowbar still held behind her back. "Thank you very much for the introduction. I do happen to prefer knowing the names of those I kill~."
Despite the ongoing dialogue, Mikka was watching the both girls' movements closely. She wasn't the type to make the first move. Doing so risked being blind, being obsessed with only brute strength and lacking technique. Mikka prefer the latter over the former by far.

Cross all but growled as she saw and heard Hana. "Hana." she replied curtly. "You've certainly grown up." she stated as she took in the girl's clothing and demeanor. "I had no idea you'd go so far as to help kidnap your idol." she stated simply, crossing her ams over her chest and glaring at the young girl.

Hana giggled a little at Mikka's response. "You're funny, I like you~" she told her, turning her head back to Cross.
The little brunette tilted her head at her older playmate. "Idol?" she asked, playfully smacking her own little head in a false realization a second later. "Ooohh, you mean Mommy! Silly me." she laughed. "Well ya see, I thought it'd be fun to have another Mommy again since I got bored of the old one." she shrugged. "New Daddy and Brother are still fun to play with, but Mommy's mind sorta went bye-bye." she waved to emphasize 'bye-bye'.
"Soooo, I don't care anymore~!" she exclaimed cheerfully. "Now she's just a fun little doll to play with, I got to dress her up and make her look all pretty just for today~!" And she DID look pretty, at least that's what Hana thought.

There wasn't so much as twitch to reveal Mikka's irritation, but it certainly was there. Even if the Russian enjoyed the rush of violence, she didn't appreciate life being treated with such a lack of care. Even though she had never met Hotaru at all before this whole ordeal, she still took it quite personally. Although she didn't bother wasting her energy on arguing. The Ookami was focused, composed, and would stay that way.
"The human mind is not something that should be treated so feebly," she scolded in a steely tone.
