Frankie grinned and shook his head. "Nope, sorry, I'm paying." he insisted as he got up to the cash register. The Ookami sat his stuff on the counter for the lady to ring up, and he pulled out his wallet as he looked back over at Tekka. "So, Tekka right? How'd you run into my brother again?" she said she had only met him once, he found it a little odd that she ended up with his hat for some reason. His mind kept going back to the hat, but he was sure it was just because it was one of the few things that connected him to his brother.

Tekka glanced at the disinterested cashier and weighed her options. To tell, or not to tell, that was the question. She rolled a few phrasings of 'he taught me how to steal' around in her mouth and head before speaking again. "He just... Taught me a good street-skill's all." She finally said, keeping her words vague so no one would know what she actually meant until they were out of the store.

Frankie raised his eye brow at her once again, shrugging it off a moment later. He knew what she meant, unfortunately, but he wasn't gonna say anything about it. "Interesting..." he said as he paid the cashier. He took the pastic grocery bags in one hand and the soda in the other after pushing the shopping cart off with the rest of them. After they were away from most of the people he look back at her. "Don't tell me you're involved with that sort of stuff too." he sighed. She seemed like a nice kid, why would she wanna get involved in all that?

Tekka snorted. "As if!" She scoffed, nose wrinkling in disgust at the idea of joining up with a gang. "I'm freelance, don't have any affiliations like that." She didn't plan on dragging anyone down with her if she ever got into trouble, and she didn't want to join a more dangerous group than she was already in. "I mostly do it for fun anyways, and to keep people on their toes." And to buy chocolates and comic books and hats and whatnot. She WAS a teenage girl after all, she had odd needs and desires that had to be met.

Frankie couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief, at least she wasn't in a gang, that was the whole reason Greg wasn't with them today and most likely the reasoning behind his complete and utter dislike for gangs in general. "That's better then, I guess." he rolled his eyes and grinned a little.
"Alright," he said, looking around for a moment. "My apartment's not too far away, then we can talk." he told her, taking the lead to head to his current home.

Tekka grinned her crooked grin and gave a two-fingered salute. "Lead the way." She sang, falling into step behind Frankie as they made their way to his apartment.
