Appearance: Kaz has messy black hair that sticks up in all directions, it is bound ever-so-slightly by a pair of dull-gold colored goggles that he keeps perched upon his head. His face is rounder and he has a button nose and grey eyes. He wears a black long-sleeved shirt with a gold stripe at then end of the sleeves just before the cuffs, and a dull-gold hoodie without sleeves over top of it. He's often seen wearing cargo shorts and sneakers, but despite his loose clothes you'd never even hear a rustle to know he was there. He's a smiler with a very VERY expressive face when he wants to convey something. There's a large collection of scars on his back. He's also small, barely five foot one when standing straight, but very strong for his size.
Personality: Kaz says quite a lot with few words, to be even more accurate: he says quite a lot without ANY words. He's mute, though there's no physical abnormality to cause it, as he's put it through signing and charades to talk to his makeshift family: "My voice just got scared away." He hates fighting and confrontation and just wants everyone to get along with each other. Despite that, Kaz is fantastically sturdy and brave when put to the test, and will stand tall in the face of adversity when he feels the cause is worth it. Otherwise he'll turn the other cheek and try to not fight at all. He's a very caring person and will listen to everyone's troubles. He makes an effort to be friendly. And if you have a problem he'll do his best to solve it if it's legitimate. If your his friend though, and it's something stupid and minor, he'll joke with you about it as well as he can.
History: Kaz's given name isn't really something that anyone but he knows for certain. He was born to a poor, and unfortunately large, family in the slums of a northern city. Whatever happened to him for the first eight years of his life isn't something he'll ever talk... or even GESTURE much about. Tekka King simply found him on a Willow Street one spring evening and he's been with her and Rebecca and Jazz ever since. I say "found," it should really be "he snuck up on them and pounced then never really left them alone."
Tekka noted his gift of silence of movement and started teaching him how to pickpocket and steal things without being seen. Whatever doubts he may have had about his decision to go with her were swiftly eradicated once he found out what a full belly felt like. When he was ten it seemed that Tekka's past had caught up with them, and all four of the family were dragged back to Hatsu Itonami and conscripted, though to much more peaceful times than before the intermixed clan. Kaz is a fan of the cafeteria.
