Mikka Volkov was, for once, taking part in the activities of a normal girl her age, searching the shopping mall for clothes and various other merchandise (although she didn't have much money, so it was kind of pointless). She wanted to find a replacement for the sweater that she'd bled out on during her fight in the woods. Not that she minded walking around with bloodstains, but it wasn't a great way to avoid attention. God, this "laying low" stuff was killing her. She hated all the hiding.
So of course, in her boredom, Mikka was naturally interested when she happened upon the beginnings of a potentially interesting brawl, she had to stop and watch. From her perch on the floor above, the Russian recognized Karter immediately. She tilted her head, wondering who his opponent was and how both of them would fare against each other.
Not knowing the answer to either question Mikka shrugged, rested her chin in her hands, and prepared to observe... For now anyway.

Akio shielded his chest with his arms, both of the knives cutting into them. He gave a small smile as blood trickled down his arms. He grabbed both of the throwing knives from his arms and pointed them towards the Tora, only to be tripped and fall on the ground. On the ground, he realized the damage his arms took. "You hit a nerve...great," he mumbled. He kicked the ground, doing a roll and landing on his feet. He turned to face the other Tora.
"We're always the strongest I suppose." He was still holding the two knives, but his arms weren't responding very well. It was a really lucky hit. Still, he didn't care. His hands were clenching, that's all that mattered. "Though I do wish you fought a bit more maturely. I guess I'll have to be a bit more serious now." Akio shifted his shoulders so that his tuxedo jacket would slide off. Blood stains were seen on the white sleeves.
Without hesitation, Akio ran towards the Tora. However, at the last second, Akio dropped a knife and jumped backwards. He figured the Tora would stare at the knife, so he took the opportunity to twist his body around, throwing the other knife at a fast pace towards the Tora.

Karter scoffed. Really, after dodging to save his and Theo's life for nearly 14 years, he managed to pick up on things. Namely when feints were used. He kept his eyes on his opponent, using his shoe to flick the knife back up into his hand as the other was thrown his way.
He wasn't fast enough to pluck it out of the air, so that knife went sailing into the nearby fountain, still, it was a clean dodge. Already his opponent seemed well and disabled, and here Karter was without a scratch. "You'll have to do better~" He sang out. After so many years of this, Karter really was quite good. The Albino Douchemuffin was clever though, he'd give him that.

Akio stared as the knife hit the fountain. "Oh that works." Akio sprinted towards the founting, diving in. It was actually extremely large, but not many people normally got in. The water became red and murky from blood as he swam around, making it impossible to see where he was. He picked up the knife and put it in his shoe while he was in the fountain. Before that, though, he used the knife to do a quick little fix in his arm. Apparantly, it wasn't a nerve that was hit. Somehow, a bit of rust from the knife got on his arm, and his body was trying to fight it off.
After removing the rust, Akio slowly stepped out of the fountain, his arms drooped to his side. He wanted to keep this injured card for now. His arms were still bleeding, so it would be very hard to tell that he had cleaned up the wounds. He looked at a few of the spectators and gave a sigh. "I don't like an audience much."

Cross watched the fight with rapt attention. She knew the Albino Douchmuffin was a challenge but she also noticed that Karter knew what he was doing. As soon as the knife had flown into the fountain she knew one of them would dive for it, and the A.D. did of course. "You go Karter!" she called from her position on the floor. She was prepared to jump up and help if needed but she decided to watch and make sure things didn't get too out of hand.

Karter shrugged. "I don't mind." And with that he charged for his opponent again, after all, it seemed like the elder Tora had lost the usage of his arms for the time being. What better time would it be to slice off that ring? All he had to do was get him pinned and then it was just a quick slice and bam! Instant new trophy!

"Good show. Sadly, my encore's begun, and your time is...shall we say..." Akio stomped the ground, a knife flying from the side of his foot to his hand, when the Tora got close. He gave a slight smile and turned the knife upside down so it wouldn't stab him. Akio turned his back and started walking off. "Fun sparring with you. I don't think we should escalate this any further, though." Akio turned his eyes towards Cross, "She's wearing a government wire." He was lieing, of course, but he had a meeting to get too and didn't really want to waste that much time.
"Keep in touch. I might have a job for you." Akio took off his ruby encrusted ring and flicked it towards the Tora. His name was on there. Akio , but the last name was scratched beyond recognition. He whistled a bit, hands in his pockets, as he walked towards the meeting place.

Karter blinked as the exchange occurred and his trophy (almost meaningless, now that it had been given to him) made its way into his hand on reflex. A scowl adorned his face and he flung the other knife at the elder Tora. "You can't just LEAVE!" What if Karter WANTED it to escalate further, huh!? What if he WANTED to slit this man's throat!?

Akio wasn't born yesterday. After the Tora yelled, he knew what was coming. Showing a bit more strength than was shown at the battle, while the knife was soaring towards him, Akio fell to the ground, looking up. The knife flew over his nose. He stared down at the Tora, still on the ground. "How pathetic." Akio stood up. "You're nothing right now, born from nothing and you live for nothing. Survival is a strong trait but meaningless if it's not accurately applied. You're wasting your life, which makes you a waste of my time." A breeze blew as Akio turned and walked past the mall. Anyone attacking him now would risk death from the government, he was too far in the public.

From what she could hear of the strange man's words, Mikka could tell Karter's pride was probably feeling a little wounded. A smirk made its way onto her lips as she strode towards the man in question; she was quite amused.
"I assume that did not go the way you planned, little Krollik," the Russo-German called to the Tora from a distance, placing one hand on her hip and grinning playfully. "Pity. I wanted to see a little blood."

Cross blinked surprised by the sudden appearance of the accented Ookami. She'd heard the Albino Douchemuffin's wired comment and was ticked off. She was actually mad that the young Tora didn't get to injure the guy further. She had a sinking suspicion that the A.D. had some ties to some people with old money.
Cross decided to stay seated where she was so she wouldn't freak out the remaining Tora. It was bad enough the Ookami had shown up. Though by the girl's words Cross figured they knew each other. Of course the new girl was interested in more blood. Seemed like Karter attracted the crazy ones.

"There's PLENTY in the fountain." Karter ground out as he heard Mikka's voice. He did NOT need this right now. Already he had had that- that- well, that albino douchemuffin just WALK AWAY from him! Even if he HAD gouged the elder Tora's arms pretty well, that wasn't enough... He almost wanted to chuck the ring into the fountain... but... If worst came to worst, he could always sell it. It certainly LOOKED valuable. "Go ahead and jump on in, She-Hulk."

The Ookami pouted with faux offense, using an index finger to trace the path of a nonexistent tear down her cheek. "You hurt my heart with your words, Krollik. I was only curious." Her sour expression brightened considerably and her eyes suddenly sparkled with amusement. "By the way, how is your head?"

"It was fine until you showed up." He shot back, tucking the ring into his pocket for when he decided on what he was going to do with it. He'd be struck dumb before he WORE the damn thing right now. "As soon as you step into my field of sight, I get this HORRID headache. Must be a Russian thing." He wondered idly if she'd correct him or not he couldn't quite tell if she was from Russia or Germany, she spoke both languages after all...

"We tend to frighten people. Giving them headaches is more of a personal talent." Mikka shrugged innocently. A voice in the back of her head reminded her she was technically more German than Russian, but to the Ookami the entirety of her life in Germany was worthless. Ergo, she considered herself a natural-born Russian girl, despite the short time she had lived there.
"Of course, one could always blame that on my irksome bluntness, da?" There was another smirk. "There isn't much use in developing manners in my homeland. Not when you just have snow and vodka for company."
