It didn't occur to Hotaru until the couple reached the theater that she probably seemed over dressed for going to the movies. Well, it wasn't like they had planned on going to see a movie after the Allure, it just happened like that. Then again, that didn't really matter much, did it? She was suppose to be on a date with her boyfriend, not worrying about little details like that.
The redhead looked over at the list of movies that were showing that night and looked at Jack. "What sorta movie should we see?" she asked him. It was kind of hard for her to pick, there were so many...

Jack gave a shrug. "I'm not sure... anything but a horror flick." Or a chick flick, but he was pretty sure that that went without speaking. "Comedy?" Laughing was always good, though sometimes they wound up as really bad, plot-wise. He was open to just about anything though.

"Sure." Hotaru agreed. She gave a laugh. "I hope you brought your wallet, Teacher man." she joked, well kinda, she didn't have that job yet after all.

Jack grinned, like he would have gone to the Allure where the more neon the drink the pricier and not brought his wallet? Not likely. "No worries, I got it covered... And it's MISTER Teacher Man, thank you very much." He might as well faux-nitpick on the unimportant stuff and see if that got a laugh.

Hotaru laughed and nodded. "My apologies, Mr. Teacher Man." she said, putting emphasis on 'Mister'. "Well, go on, you're paying after all." she said, giving him a light push forward to buy their tickets.

Jack grinned and stepped up to the ticket booth. "Two for..." He glanced up at the listings and picked the comedy movie that looked the best, not really taking note of its name. He soon returned to Hotaru. "We're in theater four." And considering the movie wasn't about to start for another fifteen minutes or so (and then the 10 minutes of previews) they had plenty of time. "Wanna play games or get snacks? We've got time." And there were actually some good games in movie theater lobbies.
...And DDR, which while cliche was actually really fun, if not somewhat embarrassing.

"Hmm," muttered Hotaru, debating on snacks or games. Well, they could always play a few games then get snacks. "Let's check out the games first!" she grinned, pausing to take off her shoes. Damn heels were starting to hurt her feet now. She held them both with one of her hands, taking Jack's hand with her free one. "C'mon!" she giggled, tugging him along.

Jack grinned, restraining a laugh at Hotaru's cheer. He had said it too many times tonight, but the Tora really was adorable. He wasn't sure how he got this lucky. "So which game first, Ru-Ru? DDR, a shooter game, one of those racing ones?" There were also claw games, which all of the Kings managed to actually be good at, a little known family talent with very little use.

Hotaru looked around at the games for a moment. She would have said DDR, but she figured they had had more than enough dancing for one night. "How about the racing ones?" she asked him, going ahead and making her way to where the racing games were at.

Jack nodded. "With cars, motorcycles, wave-runners, or planes? There are few kinds..." he gestured to the wall of games for emphasis. Personally he was leaning more toward the traditional one of 'cars' but that was just him.

Hotaru stopped for a second. "Oh. Right!" she giggled. "I knew that!" she insisted before looking at the different racing games. She really didn't see the point in there being so many, they were all the same sort of game when it all comes down to it right? "Cars?" she asked, turning back to him.

"Read my mind." Jack grinned and slid into a seat, gesturing to the other for Hotaru to take and slipping in some quarters for their game. A small cutscene played, revealing the name of the game in some foreign language... French, maybe? It had emerged as a major gaming industry after the Age of Apocalypse, but Jack honestly wasn't sure. The game spoke to them in English though, so that was a relief. Fumbling through foreign games without ANY direction was hell. Last time he had tried that a village of barbarians had gotten mad at his character and kicked him out. Repeatedly.

Hotaru hopped into her seat as the name of the game was brought up to the screen. After a short moment she had the type of car she wanted to use selected, then it showed the different courses. The redhead looked over at Jack. "Which course looks fun?" she asked him.

Impulse and experience had taught Jack that when faced with a decision on video games, you pick randomly. In this way it was impossible to get blamed for choosing a sucky course or song or whatever, so the Ookami flung his wheel to one side and watched the course-highlighter fly along the options before coming to rest on one with medium-high difficulty... in space.
That was good enough for him.
"This one!" He said excitedly, pressing the dual nitro-start button to select it.

Hotaru grinned when she saw the course that was picked. "Sweet!" she cheered, getting ready to start. "Hope you remember how competitive I get!" she told him, eyes fixed on the screen as the race began to start. She already decided she was going to win, then again, the Tora had always had that mind set.
