How Yukiko had ever managed to convince herself to go to the hospital was beyond her understanding. She had never liked letting others know she was in pain, but somehow she had brilliantly managed to shove that all aside and get to a place where treatment didn't involve simply thickly coating a cut in toilet paper and hoping it would just stop bleeding (her solution for almost everything).
Yukiko hadn't gotten her injury in a glorious way either. No, it was not a battle wound at all, but more a mark of her stupidity. She had tried to find her way up a flight of stairs in the dark and had miraculously tripped and wound up with had felt like at the very least a sprained wrist.
Now she was in some sort of waiting room, hoping to, at the very least, get an X-ray of some sort. If she wasn't careful, she could easily makes things worse, and knowing her she probably would.

Akio was called in to see a certain troubled person. He walked towards a doctor and talked to him. The doctor smiled and he walked passed him into the X-ray room. He didn't pay much attention to the girl who was getting an X-ray, he didn't stare as it caused a bit of an eerie feeling. He wrote some things on a piece of paper, not looking up from the paper until a nurse walked in. "Excuse me," he finally said to the nurse, "who is it I'm supposed to see?" The nurse ignored him and went to her work. He sighed.
Then he finally saw the person getting an X-ray. "Ah." He chuckled a bit to himself and started reading from a book, waiting for her to finish up the X-ray. She was probably the troubled person, and regardless of her clan he'd help her out. That was his way. He was more loyal to the troubled then to his own clan, though he'd hardly express that fact. As he turned the page the X-ray seemed to be nearing its completion. This must not be the person I'm supposed to see. He smiled once again and walked towards the exit, leaving some papers on the desk.
On the papers would be a strange mathematical series of equations all pertaining to a special code. It seemed as if he wrote something out of the book he was reading.

Yukiko wrapped up the X-ray quickly enough, and fortunately her wrist wasn't broken. Just sprained. Though that was enough to draw a sigh from her, considering it was her right wrist... A.K.A. her good hand, the one she used for nearly everything. Well, it would be troublesome but she would have to deal with it.
Just as she was emerging from the room, she noticed someone else leaving. She could just barely catch him smiling to himself as he headed toward the exit, and despite herself she felt her eyes linger on him for a moment as he was leaving. That was Yukiko, the one with the horrible staring habit.

"Oh my, seems I've forgotten something." Akio closed the book and, while still holding it, walked towards the notes and picked them up. He shuffled through the notes with one hand and put the book in a small bag with the other. He left the book there, a bit of a donation. Besides, he had everything from that book he needed. "Seems like everything's here." He stared at the notes, his eyes analyzing every last detail before he looked up and noticed a girl staring at him.
He looked her up and down and immediately found out why she was in the hospital. It was a problem with the wrist. He kept his grip on the notes and walked towards her. He picked up her wrist in a way that wouldn't hurt anything. "Hm...so its sprained." He continued looking at it. "Alright, this should help." He dropped the papers and with one of his hands rubbed the left part of the wrist, then with the other poked at the bottom of the wrist. Her wrist wouldn't feel any more pain because it would be slightly numb, but she'd still be able to move it.
He picked the papers back up. "I'm Akio Nyuhara," he said smiling, "A member of the Kuma clan. Who might you be?"

"Yukiko Oshiro, I'm in Ookami Clan." She replied quickly. She had been a little surprised as the blond boy approached her so suddenly. She wasn't used to people being so forward with her. But whatever he was doing to her wrist helped, and for that she was extremely thankful. "Thanks." She added, looking from him to her wrist.

"Not a problem, Miss Oshiro." Akio smiled, it seemed as if peace had radiated from him. He was raised and taught by monks and these teachings allowed him to have the ability to detach and attach him from whatever he needed to be attached and detached from. It was odd, to say the least, to think of a person who has full control of even their emotions. He was formal too, formal with everyone and putting even children above him.
"So I take it you duel, right? That's good. A battle of the mind is always better than that of the fist." Akio kept his smile. "Hm...you're interesting." He started walking towards the exit, "You're coming aren't you? Why don't we make our way towards a seperate doctor, you're going to want a seperate opinnion on your wrist."

Yukiko watched after Akio with only the slightest hesitation before following. He seemed so friendly, but not in an annoying, in-your-face, sort of way. Just... warm. In a way he seemed a bit like the sun. It was a strange thought, but nice nevertheless.
"So I'm assuming you duel as well?" She asked after a moment, trying to keep a semi-conversation alive. It would be much better than the heavy fog of silence that seemed to hang around her nowadays.

"Oh yes, yes, I duel. I don't duel violently though. I use a deck of peace...and of course a little bit of destruction." Akio smiled, not staring at the person he was talking too. He had been taught that eye contact was a privelage, not a right. He had to be invited into a conversation in order to partake in one, it was the polite thing to do. "Well judging by your evasive yet openning personality, I suppose you've had a bit of horrible thing happen in the past to you. I apologyze for that." Akio grabbed a water and took a small drink.
"I also apologyze for judging you, it's probably not something you'd like to happen. Oops, did it again." Akio gave a small laugh as he took another small drink.

"Oh, that's alright." Yukiko told him, trying to keep surprise out of her green irises. In truth she had always been terrified of being judged. The opinions of others frightened her. But this... well Akio's judgement had been delivered so quickly and clearly, it left no room for being anxious. Besides, he was absoultely right.
Yukiko laughed lightly, filling in the silence. "Not everyone is that upfront." She continued. "It's a nice change I suppose."

Akio smiled, "Well I suppose I'm not like most people. I'm a bit of a philosopher and a man of peace. Though hardly a man, I'm only 17." Akio laughed a little. "So, Miss Oshiro, I think it would be fun if we had a duel. What do you say? Would you like to duel?"

Yukiko readjusted her position a couple times, green orbs thoughtful. She hesistated just a moment, pondering upon the seemingly friendly request. Well, she couldn't find any problem with it. Although she wasn't the best duelist around by a longshot, but Akio didn't seem 'out to get her' or anything.
"Alright." She answered at last, offering a small smile. "I'll duel you."

Akio drew his first hand of five cards. "I'll activate wave motion cannon and the Messenger of Peace. THen I will set one card in defense mode and one card face down. Go ahead."

Madoka had just finished running errands for her aunt as she took the time to walk around. She soon spot a familiar face, smiling from ear- to- ear.
"Yukiko! Yukiko! Yukikoooo!" she repeated like a small child as she ran over to her friend. She stopped the moment she saw a man a little bit older than herself facing Yukiko. He held a couple of Duel Monster cards in his hand, and suddenly realized that her friend had just began a duel. She sighed and took a few steps back as to not get in the way. She may be annoying, but she knows when to step aside.
This, however, didn't effect her speaking as she waved over to her friend's opponent. "Hey, you! What's your name?! I'm Madoka! Who's winning?!" she yelled all too fast. She had had an energy drink earlier that day to be able to do her chores, and, it obviously hadn't lost its effect just yet.

Yukiko was gazing at the cards held in her left hand, with a bit difficulty considered she was unable to use her right. She didn't scowl, despite the immediate difficulty of the situation. She had long since perfected keeping a straight face in a duel.
Yukiko looked up from her hand as a familar voice reached her ears. Her green eyes instantly feel on Madoka, who was waving ethusiastically and chatting with just as much cheer. Although it wasn't to her exactly, more to Akio. But she decided to answer anyways.
"Hey Madoka." She chirped with a smile. She decided to allow her friend spit out whatever she wanted to say before taking her turn.

Madoka turned over to Yukiko when she hear her name being called. She smiled hyper- actively, giving her a thumbs up as to say 'Good luck.' She then sat down on the ground, wrapping her arms around her legs, but still jumping around from the energy she hadn't used just yet. She was beginning to regret drinking that stupid drink.
Silently, Madoka turned to the man Yukiko was dueling. She noticed that he didn't seem mean or threatening. He looked rather calm and peaceful, as if he meant no harm. Maybe she could be friends with this guy, too.
