Rio's brow furrowed to see his vampire suddenly drop down a hole that appeared right beneath him. "Argh.. He grunted, upset because he thought the move he had just made was pretty good. He looked down after his vampire, seeing the twisted and disturbing faces that lined the walls of the trap. However it soon closed up, sealing off his vampire from ever returning back this battle. "I'm setting down one card and ending my turn then." he continued, putting one card facedown.

"It is interesting that you use a zombie deck. Zombies are masters of being reborn, if I remember right. And being rebirth is a guiding principle in many forms of meditation. Oh, I've gone off on a rant, my bad. Draw." Akio drew a card from his deck. "I'll use the spell card mystical space typhoon do destroy your face down card. Then I will summon the raging flame sprite and attack you directly. Since he attacked directly, he gains 1000 attack points." Akio smiled. "I'll end with 1 card face down and I'll activate wave motion cannon."
((Since Sangan went from your side of the field to my graveyard, I gained the ability, which is how I got raging flame sprite. It also makes my CiH amount 1 more then it normally would be))

Rio lowered his brow in annoyance as the giant tornado ripped apart his Gravity Bind card to shreds, leaving him open for the little sprite's attack. After it struck, Rio noticed it's power increase, which took him a little off guard. That thing could cause some major damage if he didn't take it out quickly. He drew again to start his second turn and frowned, 'Useless card..." he thought. It wasn't the luckiest draw, and he was in a bit of a tight spot, but he certainly wasn't defenceless.
Rio placed down a monster in attack position in his monster zones. "Okay then, how'd your sprite like to play with my Zombie Master?" he taunted as a twisted looking boy appeared with rotting skin and sheared robes. Rio waited a beat to test Akio's reaction.
((Chain?))

Akio raised an eyebrow. "As long as you don't attack I'm fine with it." Akio smiled, then, just waiting for Rio to call an attack.

"Hmf, don't attack?" Rio smirked, "As if!"
"Next I play foolish burial, which lets me put any monster card from my deck into my graveyard. And I choose Mezuki," he said, slipping the zombie card into his graveyard. "However he isn't staying there for long, because Zombie Master special summons him after I discard my Vampire Genesis to the graveyard." The rotting boy's hands began to glow a pale white as he thrust them towards the ground. As he yanked them up, an anthromorphic bull rose from the ground and took his place beside the Zombie Master.
"Next Akio, Mezuki is going to chop your flame sprite to pieces, and after, my Zombie Master has a clear shot for your lifepoints! Go you two, attack!" Rio ordered as the holograms charged. "Then I'll set another card and end my turn."

"Mirror Force" were the only words to leave Akio's mouth, but they were words every duelist absolutely hated. Both Zombie Master and Mezuki would shatter to pieces. "Anything else in your turn?"

Rio frowned, but only briefly. "Alright, I can live with that. You said yourself zombies always seem to return right?" Rio asked as he removed his Mezuki from play from his graveyard. "Well here's a prime example: With Mezuki's effect, I'm able to special summon my zombie master from my graveyard." He then ended his turn with his zombie master out and one facedown card being the only thing backing him up.

Akio smiled as wave motion cannon gained a counter. "I'll draw then." He stared at the card in his hand. "I think it's safe to say your face down card is something like mirror force, something that destroys an attacking monster. If it wasn't you would have put your monster in attack mode. But that doesn't matter. Flame sprite, Direct attack!" His raging flame sprite would charge towards Rio, launching an attack.

Rio's eyebrows rose in suprise at Akio;s comment about his facedown and took in a breath, looking as if he were about to speak. However, after a beat of hanging open, his mouth closed without making so much as a breath of a sigh. He stood his ground, taking the attack with little more than a grunt. His trap didn't move; he didn't activate it. "Done predicting things buddy?" he playfully mocked, "What made you think I had that lucky of a hand?" He gave an impudent smirk and let Akio complete his move.

"Hm you're right it's probably torriential tribute or something else that activates when I summon a monster. Anyways, I'll go ahead and end my turn now."

"You're certainly giving me a lot of credit Akio. Suppose it's just a bluff?" Rio said, keeping his smug look. He drew and cursed under his breath. He looked up at the playing field, not enjoying that cannon ticking away like a time bomb, however he couldn't possibly think of a move to save him. "I guess I'll just switch my zombie master to defense position then - save my life points while I can." Rio muttered reluctantly. He never liked playing defensively.

Akio drew a card and smiled. "You wouldn't state that it was a bluff unless if it wasn't. If you had agreed that it was a torriential tribute then I would know that it was a bluff. However, since you did not agree, I know it is something big." The wave motion cannon would gain another counter. "Anyways, enough talk. Raging Flame Sprite, direct attack!" The raging flame sprite would attack Rio directly, increasing its attack to 3100 points. "Hm, Wave motion cannon! Fire!" The wave motion cannon would fire at Rio, further decreasing his lifepoints. It would also destroy itself. "Now I'll set one card face down and call it a turn."

"Hold it there buddy, I was just testing some waters last turn." Rio interrupted as Akio's Flame sprite attacked, "Your intuition was right the first time... somehow. But regardless, I activate my own Mirror Force!" The sprites attack was interupted by an invisible barrier that shot its attack right back at him. "Is that all?" Rio asked, pleased with his move. He was certainly lucky to get the trap in his first hand, however he wished it could've been used to wipe out multiple monsters as oppose to just one. The cannon fired also, however, taking an uncomfortably large amount of lifepoints from him.

It was an open field, raising Rio's spirits and getting him a bit excited. Though the facedown on the opposite side of the field was unsettling, Rio knew he still had field advantage. Rio conducted his draw phase, and immediately set the card he just drew. "Okay, I'll place one card facedown, and then my zombie master will switch to attack position and attack you directly! That'll conclude my turn." He dictated as the risen zombie charged once more towards Akio, fists raised and a demented look in his eye.
