Joshua smiled at her, a genuinely understanding expression. However, just because he understood, didn't mean he was going to let her just give up like that. He grouped the cards that his current companion had showed him into a little pile and put them in Xion's hand.
"If you don't know how, then I'll teach you," he urged. "You can't be a part of this war, and have a Deck without knowing how to Duel."

Joshua nodded, shuffling his own cards in a style somewhat clumsier than Xion's.
"That is, if you're going first, which I invite you to do," the cook said with a grin. "Ladies first and all that stuff."
