Naomi shrugged again. "I really don't know why I'm in this dump, tell ya the truth." she told Tekka. "As for how I noticed you, I tend to be pretty observant when I'm bored." a question of her own came up in her head. "Why do you even steal from people, anyway? Only the really desperate jack money from people." well, at least that was what she thought, anyway.

Tekka shrugged. "Good question, one that I'm not entirely sure I have a good answer for actually." She scratched the back of her neck in embarrassment. "I guess... I guess I like the thrill, not to mention it teaches people to be more observant, and it's a challenge." She shrugged again, she had a feeling she'd be doing that a lot more tonight. "I guess that means I pickpocket cause it's fun and I could always use the money."

"Kinda stupid if you ask me." she told her. "If ya want thrill, go bungee jumping or something like that. You could get in a lot of trouble if you get caught like that." under her breath, she added. "Like my bitch of a sister."

Tekka gave her a look, not a particularly nasty one, just a look. "I know that, I've been in a coma thanks to it, but it's one of the few things I'm good at and I'll be damned if I give it up." She blinked at the last comment muttered. "What?" She asked, not able to hear Naomi's words over the music.

Naomi rolled her eyes and looked at Tekka. "None of your business." she snapped rather rudely. She rarely ever thought about her big sister, but when she did, she wasn't that nice of a person. Well, not that she was ever too friendly to be around, but whatever.

Tekka held up her hands in a gesture of peaceful surrender. "Okay okay." She pacified, returning her hands to the bartop and munching on another fry. "Jeez, had I known fries'd make ya snippy I probably wouldn't have offered..." There was mirth in her voice though, to be expected really, Tekka was rarely serious when it came to bar food.

Naomi sighed. "It's not the food." she told her, sounding slightly more calm. She messed with her red hair a little. "Sorry," she muttered reluctantly.

Tekka grinned and gave a shrug. "No biggie." She looked out at the dancefloor, wincing at some peoples attempts at dancing. Not to say she was any good herself, dancing was like snapping her fingers or whistling. For her it was a physical impossibility (which sucked because while she didn't mind not being able to dance she'd never be able to go to a poetry slam or whistle in foux-innocence either).
"Man," She chuckled, watching a pair of teens attempt what looked to be a cross between the Jitterbug and break dancing. "This is almost painful to watch..."

Naomi turned around, looking at the people on the dance floor. "I think I'm gonna hurl." she commented, watching the pathetic dancing that was going on at the moment. She turned back around to avoid having to watch anymore. "Terrible." she muttered to herself.

Tekka giggled. "Oh, I wish I had a camera. This is twelve thousand hits on Youtube easy." It really was rather amusing, schadenfreude at its finest if she was correct in her idea of the word. Another few fries disappeared down her gullet in a manner akin to someone watching a rather entertaining movie.

Naomi sighed, a small and probably unnoticeable smirk coming on her face. "Wonder how many of them actually realize they're dancing bad?" she asked the Tora beside her.

Tekka chuckled, her Ookami companion (she wasn't quite sure if they were friends or not at this point given Naomi's... charming disposition) made a solid point. "I dunno, a quarter of 'em if we're lucky, maybe a third of 'em tops." Though that was assuming that the world still liked watching people dance or had built-in metronomes or something like that.

The Ookami let out a small huff meant to be a little laugh. "Yeah." she muttered. She ate a couple more fries before realizing something. "You're not annoyed with me or anything?" she asked Tekka, a little curious. Sure, it was a little out of the blue to ask something like that, but she knew how she was.

Tekka tilted her head back and forth in thought. "If I'm being totally honest then I find you a bit grumpy and a bit antisocial, though you've got a pretty good sense of humor and I'm sure you have your moments of total awesomeness." She gave the Ookami a bright smile. "So no, I don't find you annoying. The snark is actually refreshing more than anything else." What a world it would be if there was no snark or sarcasm... 'dull,' 'bland,' and 'boring' were the first few words to crop up in Tekka's head.

Naomi shrugged. "Weird, but alright." she said, trying to find the bartender. "Hey, Dr. Pepper over here." she said, only to get the drink moment after. She took a sip of the soda and watched the failed dancing continue.
