Cross grinned and released his arm. She pulled out her lock-pick out of her pocket and silently crept down the hallway. She glanced back at to make sure there were no people coming. She smiled to Jeremiah as she made it to the door and started to study the new lock. She chuckled. "Simple..."She whispered as she started to pick the lock.

Jeremiah had to admit that, while Cross wasn't really the kind of person he'd normally spend time with, she was still a fascinating person. Anyone with that much expertise in lock-picking had to be incredibly intelligent. Unfortunately, he didn't have his Deck with him, or he'd ask her for a Duel. The Ookami shook himself from his thoughts, deciding to be at least halfway useful to his new acquaintence by playing as her lookout. Surely, it wouldn't be long before Cross was done picking the lock, though...

Cross bit her lip as she angled the pick. There was a click and she pulled out the tool and pocketed it. She grinned and nodded to Jeremiah. "It's open." She said quietly but yet accomplished. She opened the door and stepped in and waved him in. "Come on." She whispered looking out and around, nobody was anywhere near the hallway.

Jeremiah shrugged and followed Cross in. It was rather exciting to be part of such an adventure, although the young-looking Ookami was quite sure that anyone with a ready-to-use lock-pick didn't generally consider the activity to be adventurous. Even if it wasn't all that extraordinary, it was still free food, and that was quite the treat when your meals came from doing odd jobs around the residential area.

Tekka was seated rather comfortably in a crate filled with Dove bars, munching happily on the sweet creamy chocolate. The crate didn't appear open from the outside, as such, it was rather dark in there. The little Tora's only means of sight was a little knothole and a small pocket flashlight.
The small blond had on a red silk top hat, white t-shirt, and blue jeans this fine day. She had also gotten bored at the arena and thus decided to go snooping, eventually finding her way to a locked door marked with 'EMPLOYEES ONLY' in a brightly colored sign.
So she went in.
Tekka was no idiot, she locked the door behind herself and made sure to keep out of sight and stay quiet. One didn't get to be a thief with no common sense after all, and a keen sense of hearing also came with the job.
Her eye filled the knothole as she watched two people come in. One appeared to be that Cross woman from the woods, and the other she didn't know. He didn't look much older than twenty maybe, and if he was breaking into a snack storeroom, he wouldn't have too much money on him.
She fixed her hat on her head, preparing to make a break for it if it became a bit of a hostile situation. Cross seemed sorta unstable form what Tekka had seen at the forest, so who KNEW what would happen here...

Jeremiah, being just a bit paranoid by nature, thought he sensed movement coming from somewhere across the storeroom from himself and Cross. His eyes were adjusting nicely to the dark, but they wouldn't be quite ready enough yet to tell if anyone else was in the room.
The time had come to find what snack he wanted. For a moment, he didn't want to grab anything too expensive... until he remembered that they were stealing, not purchasing. His stomach immediately pointed him to a crate marked "Dove", and he had to admit that he liked where his appetite was going. Slowly, he approached the crate, and he noticed something a tad peculiar - he could smell the chocolate. The Ookami turned around and beckoned Cross over.
"Call me crazy, but you usually can't smell the candy until it's out of the wrapper, no?" asked Jeremiah uncertainly. If his presumption was correct, then the arena either a) had mice, or b) someone had already broken in and re-locked the door.

Cross was instantly aware as she closed the door behind her, locking it back as she always did. She, being the chocoholic she was, could smell the chocolate already... She warily walked over to the box where the smell was at and peeked over the edge, her lock pick was held defensively in her hand. She saw the small girl in the box and sank back on her heels with a sigh. She closed the pick and put it up. "Tekka right?" She asked the small girl whom she had only met the one time in the forest.
Cross was actually intrigued by the younge girl... in a way, little Tekka was a slight mini of Cross. Cross grinned and snatched up an almond joy off the ground tearing into it quickly. "So kid, what brings you here?"

Tekka was getting prepared to pop out of the box and hurl the chocolates at the approaching Ookami whilst she made her dramatic escape when Cross opened the box. The Tora grinned, glad to see that the Kuma wasn't as... volatile? Emotional? Well, as much of a wreck as last time. She didn't say anything to Cross's assessment of her identity, hoping that the girl would take it as a
She hopped out of the box, keeping a hold of several chocolates to munch on at her leisure. "Oh, you know," She grinned, "Boredom leads to an intense desire for sugar and the thrill of thievery, and there's no better place to get both." She gestured to the storeroom filled with sweets. There was a person that came in to check every fifteen minutes or so, hence the sneakiness.

Jeremiah was somewhat frozen. He had suspected that there was someone or something hiding in that box, but for Cross to know her was some coincidence. He considered the brief possibility of leaving, but that might attract attention. It would be better to stay out of the way for now, especially because the girl in the box had regarded him with a look that was less than congenial.

Cross clasped her hands together. "Well, no use standing around like a bunch of idiots, let's dig in and get the hell out of here!" She said enthusiastically but yet quietly. She tore her eyes away from the two and dug into a pile of candy bars. Quickly she stuffed her new jacket's pockets with Hersheys, almond joys, and various other candy bars. She made sure to pocket some sour candy as well. She stood back up and looked at the two. "I'm done." She announced with her signature grin.

"Sounds good to me!" Tekka agreed with a salute, making a mental note never to let Cross near her secret candy stash as she stuffed a few bags of M 'n Ms into her hat. There was a method to her hat-loving madness, and it was rather easy to hide things in the top hat. Besides that, she just liked the premise of having a top hat.
She glanced over to the guy Cross had come in with, despite her initial paranoia he didn't seem like that bad a guy. Sugar induced suspicion is what she'd chalk it up to. She tossed him a bag of cotton candy from a nearby crate. "Happy Unbirthday!" She called out, feeling a desire to quench the slight feeling of guilt.

Jeremiah couldn't help but grin at the archaic literature reference. He wasn't quite so sure how he had picked up so much knowledge of those things, but what position was he in to question? The Ookami caught the bag and put it into his jacket. He scanned the rest of the room, eventually locating the Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and pocketing copious amounts of them. There were more choices he made, but not too many.
"All right, let's make like a hockey stick and get the puck outta here," he said, his apprehensions about the Tora girl with the top hat cleared up for now. He hadn't remembered her name, but it didn't matter, likely. There was no guarantee he'd see her again after this.

Tekka grinned as she pocketed one of the Reese's Cups. They were tasty and delicious, a very good (if not somewhat redundant) combination. "I'd say a bad 'let's get out of here' line, but I can't think of one right now." She laced her fingers behind her head and looked towards Cross. "Was anyone heading this way when you came in?" She wasn't sure who had been the lookout and who had picked the lock, but both of them probably had the information.

Cross situated herself quickly as she answered the young Tora. "Nobody was anywhere near when we got in." She answered as she headed to the door. "Who's going out first and last?" She always made sure she knew who was going in what order for safety measures.

Jeremiah had to think about this. He had never thought of who should be going first and last. He supposed that, since he didn't know squat about lock-picking and such, he shouldn't go last.
"I'll go second, if that's fine," he said placidly.
