Hotaru sat up straight when she noticed the man behind Jack. It wasn't the waiter. "Umm, hello." she said to the man, a little confused. "Is there something you need...?"

Aiden was pissed and drunk. Of course, if you knew him this added up to be a very scary result. Aiden was a raging drunk (more of a scheming and raging drunk combo package actually), not a happy drunk like his younger brother. Coupled with his strength and pig-headedness this made for a deadly combination if you had crossed him before in your life.
Unfortunately, most of the city had done that.
Still, when he spotted a familiar figure of his little brother enter the bar his interest was piqued not only by that his brother was in an establishment that the younger Ookami KNEW Aiden frequented but by the girl he was with. He had seen her face somewhere before...
He made himself scarce for a few moments before returning to his obvious spot at the bar. Strangely enough the two teens seemed to not notice him. He'd just have to make himself noticed then.
He stood up, tossed some money on the counter and sauntered over to stand behind his little brother. Before long the red-headed Tora asked him if he wanted something. He smiled at her and then directed his gaze at the slightly frozen Ookami in front of him. "Nothing from you miss, just a few moments with Jackie-boy here."
He didn't miss how Jack tensed and the fear (almost tangible) radiating from the brunette in the seat Aiden was leaning on. Didn't miss the way his hand balled immediately into fists, And CERTAINLY didn't miss the barely audible squeak that (while probably imperceptible to the red head) was a familiar sound to the eldest King sibling. Jack squeaked when truly terrified, and had done so since he was little.

As the figure behind him spoke there was but one thought in Jack's mind. Specifically: Well SHIT...
Aiden was not good, Aiden pissed off was not good, Aiden pissed off and drunk was TERRIBLE. Now that Jack was here (and was a focal point for the rage) things would undoubtedly get deadly if Hotaru lwft the scene. After all, Aiden rarely went a-killing if there was a lady about. Though that didn't exactly prevent Tekka or Chika.
Jack took a deep breath, put on a false smile and pretended to not know he was about to die. "Well hey big bro..." He said (the cheer was easy to classify as false) before he saw Aiden's eyes. The whole facade dropped, Murder with a capital 'M' was spelled out in his eyes.

When Jack called the man 'big bro', Hotaru's eyes widen slightly. So this was Aiden. It was pretty easy to tell that he wasn't in a good mood(that being a huge understatement), and that Jack was somewhat fearing for his life. Another thought ran through her mind: Aiden use to work for the government, what if he recognized her? She instantly regretted not bringing her usual cloak for once, but tried keeping that to herself. It was obvious he was more focused on Jack, anyway, which wasn't that great of a thing either...
“So you're Jack's brother?” she asked casually. “Nice to finally meet you.” 'Keep smiling, keep smiling.' she thought to herself during all this. Maybe they'd get lucky, meaning Aiden wouldn't do anything to Jack and he hadn't heard about Hotaru way-back-when. Although that last one she wasn't too sure of...

Aiden could practically smell the pair's fear and ignored the red-head's question and statement. He focused on Jack for the moment, leaning over the back of the booth's backrest to look his little brother in the eye from the side. "So I'm going to go ahead and assume this is that girlfriend of yours who Tekka and Chika have been pestering you about." He glanced towards the girl then.
"Name?" He asked, it was more like 'ordered' actually, but Aiden wasn't exactly a polite person.
Jack stiffened as Aiden guessed correctly, and hoped to all that was good that Hotaru didn't have her clan bracelet showing. That would REALLY kill everything. Aiden was out for revenge and nothing was beneath him at this point. Blackmail would certainly be a possibility, as would be the breaking of several bones. Jack had a hunch that he wouldn't escape tonight completely unscathed.

Luckily, Hotaru had decided on wearing long sleves that day that hid her braclet. Who knows what would have happened if he saw she was Tora. Then there was the issue with her name, she had a feeling that Aiden wouldn't want the usual name she told people, but she didn't want to tell him her real name either in case he did know about her.
The redhead kept her smile. "I'm Reina Hiroshi." she introduced herself as, remembering the name of one of her mother's friends. There wasn't much hesitation in her voice. She had been calling herself Phoenix for a while now; a different name for the moment wasn't too hard for her to say. She really hoped Aiden believed it and Jack would play along with the recently thought-of name.

Aiden looked rather... unfazed. There was minimal change (if any) to his facial features and he simply gave a nod in return. "Aiden." He stated, positive that if Reina knew his brother there was no need to state a last name. He flicked the side of Jack's head, earning himself a glare and gestured for the smaller Ookami to move over.
Jack continued glaring. "Find your own seat," He managed to hiss out, Aiden blinked.
"Fine, I'll simply sit next to Miss Hiroshi and-" He stopped and smirked as Jack stood up and shifted seats over to the red head.
The younger Ookami glanced at Hotaru, an apology written out as clear as he could in his eyes. This could only get worse as the night wore on, and unfortunately he couldn't beat his brother physically. They'd have to sit and suffer until an opportunity to escape arose.

Hotaru showed a more authentic smile at Jack. Nothing that bad had happen so far, as long as they were careful, maybe nothing too terribly bad would happen, right...?
Out of a little of a reflex, the redhead took Jack's hand from under the table. "Soo..." she trailed off, not really sure about what to talk about next.

Aiden twitched slightly as the arm motions indicated the pair holding hands. Letting down the basic barriers shielding one's heart and mind was a rather dumb move on his brother's part. And while he tolerated Jack at best and despised him at worst, the only person allowed to tear the middle King's mind to shreds from the inside was HIM. The girl was certainly a threat to that.
He decided he didn't like her and his neutral expression turned a bit harder.
Jack squeezed Hotaru's hand in warning. "Aiden," He began, trying to draw his brother's attention. "Why are you here getting wasted?"
Aiden's eyes glanced over to his brother. "I'll do what I please Jackie, you seem to forget who watches out for whom. Older brothers make sure the little siblings don't do anything stupid." He looked back at Reina, "This constitutes stupid."
Jack bristled and slammed his hands on the table. "That's enough." He growled, the same amount of loathing in his voice that he typically reserved for government officials. Insult him, sure. Degrade him in public, fine. Break a few fingers in a fit of rage, whatever. Insult Hotaru and prepare to get your ass kicked.

Hotaru was a little shocked from Aiden's statement, and even more shocked when Jack growled at him. She frowned slightly, keeping her eyes on the table. "It's alright, Jack." she told him, voice somewhat mature, yet unsure at the same time. "You know I've been through worse."
The redhead closed her eyes for a moment and looked up at Aiden, an expression on her face so serious she didn't remeber the last time she had used it. "I don't mean to be rude, but I really don't see the need to say something like that without good reason for it." she informed him. She knew she was absolutely nowhere near close to being as intimidating as Aiden, but she could still be pretty bad if she was pushed enough.

Jack seethed, still rather pissed despite Hotaru's attempt to calm him down. Blood had yet to be spilled however, so that was a good thing. Though if Aiden kept on being an ass things would get hairy REAL fast. For now however, he simply turned the death-glare to its highest setting.
Aiden looked back at Reina. "Well it's actually kinda simple. You see, I don't like you," His face was still pretty blank, though his eyes managed to express both smugness and disgust in the same glint. "So why should I bother being polite?" He tilted his head to the side a bit, "Actually, there's just something about you that positively infuriates me."

"Really now?" Hotaru asked sarcastically. If Aiden was going to keep being this way, Jack would probably have to hold her back. For the moment, though, this was her being calm.
"I'd just love to know what that something is!" A small smirk could be seen on her face, she wanted Aiden to know that she wasn't as weak or as scared of him as other people in town might be.

Jack noted the increase in Hotaru's anger (while fairly well concealed) rather happily. At least he had backup if Aiden tried something, though if she was going to launch herself headlong into a fight he'd hold her back. Aiden could be a war machine in a brawl, it was best to stay out of any sort of fight with him.
The aforementioned Ookami blinked and a wide grin spread its way across his face. "That's it!" He almost chuckled, almost. There was a gleam of recognition in his eye, it could bee seen right along with the disgust and smugness. "You're her!" The smirk and snark was a confirmation. He was sure she knew exactly who he was saying she was. After all, she was her after all. Aiden was clever, and he had had a hunch that Hotaru Megumi wasn't quite dead. If the police had never caught her, a fire would never have killed her. A damn shame too, it would have been one less headache for him if she was out of the picture.

Hotaru growled quietly when Aiden finally recognized her. 'Shit.' was about the only word going through her mind right about then.
"Alright, then." she said, eyes a little colder than before. There was no point in trying to deny it; it was only a matter of time before he guessed it was her, anyway. She squeezed Jack's hand a little as a sign that she was at least trying to hold back her anger. "Ya caught me. Gonna rub it in my face or do something about it?"

Aiden's head tilted a bit more to the side. "Well I was thinking more along the lines of basking in my little victory for a bit, but now I'm curious." He paused and looked at Jack. "Why is it you're dating her if you know who she is?"
Jack's eyes were set in a glare, they had been that way since the elder of the two Ookami's had figured out Hotaru's real identity. "First off, tell anyone and I'll slit your throat while you sleep," Aiden blinked and snorted, rolling his eyes.
"You don't have the guts." He muttered, Jack continued as though he had never spoken.
"Secondly, I really don't care who she was then, what matters to me is who she is now."
The giant Ookami chuckled a bit. "Really Jackie, you honestly think it doesn't matter that she killed people? That there are more bodies in that cemetery next to mom because of her?"
Jack's hand tightened into a fist under the table while his other hand tightened around Hotaru's. He was pretty sure that if Aiden kept talking he was going to lose it and he might very well go through with his threat.
