Keisko walked onto the beach on afternoon. The wind outside was cool and blowing, making the sand roll across the beach. There were clouds forming on the horizon. Keisko sank down onto the slowly cooling sand from earlier in the day. It was rumored that there was an approaching storm that could quite possibly be due to a forming hurricane or a tornado might actually be in the process of forming. The weathermen were still unsure as usual. Keisko squinted looking over at the waves that were forming into large waves from the small whitecaps as they were called. The sand was blowing everywhere but she didn't care. She was even tempted to go out in the ocean and just ride the waves.
She was escaping from life in general. The hospital, her duties to the clan, the war, the death, everything. So as soon as she got home, she dropped her stuff off, changed into some loose clothes and ran out into Kuma territory. It wasn't the smartest thing she had thought of but hey, why not? It's not like she'll get blown away or anything...
She continued to squint out at the water, watching it with intense interest. Everyone that was at the beach now were currently scrambling to get home and out of here before the storm set in. She glanced up at the sky looking for the funnel cloud or anything to set off that a tornado was coming. She doubted it would be a hurricane, they could tell days before one of those hit. It took awhile for one of those to develop.
Her hair whipped around her like a halo except more... corrupt. She repeated tried putting her hair behind her ear but it was as useless as a shredded pencil. Her clothes also whipped against her side but the effect of it was soothing. Then she took off her shoes and socks and stuck them off to the side so they wouldn't get anything in them or blow away with the high winds. She also rolled up her pant legs to her knees then ran out to the water, stopping at mid-calf.
She stood there and let the water and winds try to sway her from position. She dug her toes into the mush that was called sand and felt the cold water collide with her every few moments. She could also feel the shells that were tumbling uselessly under the water, hitting her legs and floating away. She kept her arms wrapped around herself as she squinted out into the distance, waiting for the inevitable storm.

Despite many warnings from friends, family, and television, Chika had gone out that day. She was looking for adventure, and having only recently been conscripted, was unaware of what might happen at wandering into opposing territories. She stumbled into Kuma territory, the beach to be precise, and held an arm up to shield her eyes, the other was wrapped around herself to keep warm from the chilling wind. There was certainly a storm on the way.
A nearby umbrella was torn from the sand a few moments later, slamming into the Tora's side and knocking her into the waves with a yelp. She dipped under the water, salt stinging her eyes and shells having at her face as if she had murdered their families. She stumbled to her feet as fast as she could, coughing and rubbing at her eyes as soon as she could.
Another wave reared up behind her, catching her off-guard and sweeping her farther off to the side, this time slamming into a body. Chika was too busy trying to stay afloat to notice though. The salt was stinging her throat and eyes, the water soaking her to the bone and chilling her thoroughly.
She had wanted adventure, but this was a little much!

Keisko could barely hear anything over the high winds and the crashing waves but she caught something and looked around. It sounded like yelling. Then she caught sight of something- someone, bobbing in the water. Her internal instincts of being a guardian to someone younger, her nursing, and the normal instincts all kicked in at the same time as she took off running down the beach and in the water.
The cold water hit her hard as she dove headfirst into a wave. Thunder crashed as she came up for air and bounced over the waves to the flailing body. At least they were still alive. She kept her eyes sqinted so hardly any water splashed into them and she could still see... barely.
She had to end up following the voice and splashing sounds because the waves had become too high. She took a deep breathe and ducked underwater completely before the next wave. She could hear, even under water, the yelling, so she steered that way. She was close. She felt around with her hands and finally caught onto a leg.
She came up for air and let go of the leg. Then she saw the girl and grabbed her by the waist, towing her backwards as Keisko swam with all her might against the waves that pushed her, luckily, back towards shore.
She lost her breathe numerous times as she swam but finally they hit ground and Keisko towed the girl up out of the water and laid her down before collapsing beside her, coughing up water and shaking from the wind mixed with the water. She wasn't sure if the girl was breathing or if had water in her lungs. She shook the girl, unable to speak, still catching her breathe. Wake up, wake up...

Chika curled towards whatever or whoever had caught her, still trembling as they tumbled onto the beach. She lay sprawled out on the cold grains, lungs aching from the coughing and throat sore from the salt. Was nothing to go right that day? First her cornflakes, then the toaster, now almost drowning? Something had it out for her, no doubt about it.
She opened her eyes, lids feeling particularly heavy after the near death experience. "Ughhur..." She mumbled, feeling the shaking. "Five more minutes..." She made a feeble attempt at rolling over only to be seized by a hacking cough.
She gave into the desire to cough up her breathing apparatuses and sat there getting some misplaced water out of her system.

Keisko patted the girls back hard to help dislodge some of the water. She herself was still coughin up some but no where near as much as the red head.
She looked up at the sky as a lightning stike spread across the sky going horizontal. Once upon a time, she was scared of storms like these, but now, after her life experiences, this storm was nothing but a sight to bask at.
She returned her attention to the red head and stopped patting, insead choosing to collapse in the sand, the wind whipped at their clothes and Keisko's hair continued to block her sight as it whipped in her face.
She coughed out the remaining water in her own system. "Are you okay?" She asked the girl over the roar of the sea.

"Aside from the feeling like I got hit by a semi? Fine." She laughed weakly, brushing wet strands of hair out of her face. She took a deep breath once she felt up to it and looked at her savior. She had seen her in the halls of the hospital during routine check-ups, but had never talked to her. The wristband proclaimed she was in Ookami, and the lack of a duel disk probably meant she wasn't here for territory.
"Can I get your name? I'm Chika." It was only fair to give your name when asking for someone's own. At least, that was what she thought, her head was still a bit muddled from the ocean and the panic.
Her own appearance was sorry at best, soaked to the bone and shivering, her clothes clung to her and increased the frigid feeling. Her face felt sore, and her cheek stung, it was probably cut from one of the shells. At least the saltwater would help it heal... Her eyes felt sore too, and she was sure that they were reddish from the irritation of the salt, sand, and wind.

Keisko coughed once more and rolled over. "I'm Keisko." She said sitting up on her knees with visible effort. She stumbled up onto her feet and held out a hand to the young girl. "Come on, lets go get in the little hut." she said shaking from the cold. Chika had a cut on her cheek and Keisko knew that one of these huts had her first aid kit that she accidently left one day on a call.
Her clothes were soaked and she was glad she had taken off her shoes, at least she would have something dry. The sky lit up with a lightning bolt and Keisko could see the clouds now. Off in the distance something was forming and that drew her attention. "Uhh... We may want to get in one of those huts quickly." She muttered, her eyes widening at the afternoon sky.

Chika's eyes widened at the sound of thunder rumbling off in the distance. There were three things she was afraid of in the world:
1)Losing her family 2)Dieing 3)Natural Disasters
Today seemed to be the day of terror for her, having almost died and now a storm was on the way. She nodded quickly, taking Keisko's hand and pulling herself up. She wobbled for a second before tugging her help in the direction of said hut. "Yeah. Now please." There was a feel of urgency in her voice, one could tell that the Tora was scared.
Of the rain? No. She was scared of the lightening that came with it. And some shelter was better than none, right? Right.

Keisko helped pull Chika along the beach towards the huts. Her feet instantly sank into the sand with each step. She glanced back at the dark clouds as she felt the first of the rain hit her forehead. She frowned. Although she wanted to stay out and watch the storm, stand in it, it was much safer for herself and Chika to be in some type of shelter.
Keisko kicked open a hut and helped Chika sit down, then ran back out and grabbed her shoes. She stuck them in the hut and started searing their hut for the first aid. "Crap..." She muttered realizing it wasn't there. She ran out and went into the next one. Finally she saw the little red box and grabbed it, running back out into the rain and back to the hut with Chika.
She collapsed down on her knees breathing hard. "Found it!" She exclaimed happily as the rain beat down on the hut, dripping through. She opened it up and started rumaging around for the needed supplies.

Her tugging on Keisko soon turned to Keisko tugging on her. The sand seemed to swallow her feet and made walking a little more difficult than it should have been. The rain wasn't helping all that much either, though it really didn't make a difference since both girls were soaked. Somehow, they made their way to one of the small huts on the beach and hurried inside.
While Keisko had been searching for the first aid kit, Chika had been studying the inside of the hut. It was pretty small, there was a table and two chairs (one of which she was sitting in) as well as a bed that was pushed off to the side. It was probably a first aid station, but Chika had never been in one before, so it was difficult to tell.
The floor was wooden and a rug was placed underneath the bed, but there was a distinct beachy feel. Chika didn't get to examine much more before Keisko burst back through the door, rain pounding behind her, and held up the first aid kit.
"Found it!" She exclaimed happily, before rummaging for the correct items on the table. Chika didn't know exactly what to say, it was probably a bad idea to distract the doctor. Or was she a nurse? Oh well. The Tora merely gave a grateful smile and wiped off some of the blood that had dribbled down her cheek to her chin.
Rain was still leaking in, though the door was now shut. It wormed its way through the cracks in the ceiling and in the walls. Under the door and the window panes. Looking through the glass it was easy to see how much rain was pouring down now, and it was quite a bit. Much more than she had thought there would be. She stared out the window as Keisko poked through the kit, slowly becoming accustomed to the lightning.

Keisko continued to rumage through the kit as the thunder and lightning clashed outside. Finally, with the light from the lightning bolt, she found what she needed. "Antibiotic Cream and Bandages." She said with a small smile.
Carefully she used a rag that came with the kit and whipped the rest of the blood off of Chika's cheek then opened the bandage and put the cream on it. Very carefully she pressed it against the Tora's cheek and smoothed it over, making sure it was securely on. She closed up her kit and collapsed in the open chair.
"How did you manage to end up in the water?" She asked the girl as she took off her Jacket and layed it across the table. She started squeezing the water out of her, now, dark blue shirt. Lightning light up the room again.

Chika grinned, "Thanks!" She cheered, not entirely disliking the help/attention. The Tora laughed at the question, feeling much better after being out of the wind and rain. She could still hear the wind howling between the cracks, but it didn't cause much trouble.
"I got hit with something, I think it was a beach chair or an umbrella or something." She rubbed her side unconsciously at the memory. "Whatever it was, I wouldn't want to run into it again." Her side would bruise, but it was nothing serious. She laughed again to brush off any remaining worry.
"So what were you doing here?" She asked, beginning to wring out her hair until it went from soaked and heavy to damp and limp. She was going to go home and drink hot chocolate as soon as the storm let up, that was a promise. She didn't want to get sick, or have her new 'parents' worry.

Keisko laughed and winced. "That had to hurt." She shook her head. Flying objects weren't good, especially when they were large and at high speeds.
"Well, I came out to watch the storm." She said smiling and looking out the window at the rain and lightning. "I love storms." She followed up, starting on her hair which wouldn't be too difficult seeing as it was thin and shoulderlength. She desperately wanted to walk out of this hut and look up at the sky to try and see the funnel cloud she knew would be forming.

Chika smiled at the rain running down the glass, the lightning scared her, but the rain itself was calming. "I don't like the thunder and lightning, but the rain is nice." It was at this point she noticed the longing that Keisko had whilst looking through the window, and it clicked in Chika's head where the Ookami wished to be.
"Well..." She started, "If you wanna head outside and get up close and personal, I'll be fine." She smiled. "The only things that'll hit me in here are those little drips from the ceiling, and they don't hurt much." Keisko had saved her life, she didn't want the girl to be unable to do what she wanted because of the Tora's stupidity.
Chika would probably stand in the doorway and watch anyway. Things were less terrifying when you were with someone else, storms were no different. Who knew, maybe she'd get over her fear today.

Keisko looked at Chika. She badly wanted to be out there but she didn't just want to abbandon the person she had just met, that was rude! She bit her lip, glancing back at the window. The worst part of the storm probably wouldn't start for a bit...
"I'll just sit and talk with you for a bit... then I may go out there..." She smiled. "So you're in Tora clan?" She said striking up a new conversation. The clan bands were all very bright and always gave away the person, no matter what. She was long past her prejudice of Tora clan so Chika could be considered lucky. The rain pounded down on the little hut's roof and lightning and thunder clashed outside. Truely one og nature's beauties...
