Mani sat quietly on the headstone in the middle of the cemetary, she looked at the garbage on the ground in disgust. "Scum from scum... Why don't they care.." She opened her book quietly and wrote something in it. The cemetary was silent in the early dawn, the dying sound of last evening's crickets was long gone. She listened as she closed her eyes. "Peace... What happened to peace like this?" She sighed and hummed a melody, she traced a pattern in the air. "How aabout a riddle for those who have passed?"

Caitlyn walked to the cemetery, planning to visit her father's grave. She felt guilty. It had been a while since she had been. She walked over, and to her surprise found that there was someone sitting on her father's headstone. "Um, hello," she said, looking a bit surprised that someone else was here.

Mani opened her eyes and looked the girl who was in fornt of her. She closed her book and watched. "Hello, have you come to disturb the peace like everyone else?" She rested her chin on her palm as she looked at the visitor with a hint of annoyance.

Caitlyn blinked. "I came to visit my father," she replied, her voice soft. She fiddled with the single white lily she held. "You happen to be sitting on his headstone, by the way," she said, a slightly sardonic smirk on her face. She looked almost amused by this.

Mani moved her feet apart and bent forward to look at the name, she looked back up and frowned. "Sorry, I thought it was the grave of my Damien." She got off the grave carefully and looked around. "I've been here so many times but I rarely see others during the daylight..." She picked up the empty can that laid on the ground, its contents had soaked into the grass and had left it yellow. There was a red rose sticking out of her back pocket, its petals opened slightly in the sunlight.

Caitlyn blinked, a bit taken aback. "Hm," she said. "I don't visit as often as I should," she said, bending down and placing the flower in front of her father's grave. She stood up and looked around. "No one does," she gestured, indicating many wilted flowers and graves that clearly hadn't been cared for in years. "I suppose I've just been missing my parents more than usual recently," she shrugged, seemingly casual. "May I ask your name?" She had already noticed the girl's orange bracelet, meaning they were from the same clan.

Mani looked at her for a moment."Why should I say? Are you friend or foe?" She walked over a few headstones and looked at the name. She placed the rose on the grave and cleaned it quietly. After she had finished, she sat on top of it quietly and opened her book again. Her feet dangled in front of the name, she closed her eyes again.

"Friend, I should hope, unless you force us to be foes," Caitlyn replied casually. She watched as the girl walked down the row of headstones and stopped at one, suddenly curious but not wanting to pry. Eh, screw that. "Is that...Damien's grave?" She asked.

She nodded, she motioned for the girl to come closer. She held up a photo, in it was a boy her age with long black hair. His eyes were a deep green and his hair was tied back neatly. "He was my love..." She frowned and looked down at the headstone. " I'm Mani Draconia.. he was Damien Hitoroshi."

Caitlyn looked at the photo, and smiled slightly. "He was quite handsome...and he seems like he was kind, though I suppose you can't judge from a photo." She reached up and mussed her own hair a little. "I'm Caitlyn Masters." She said, holding out a hand to Mani.

Mani put the photo back in her book, she looked at Caitlyn's hand. She reached out and shook it for a second, her sleeve came up revealing a dark black tattoo that appeared to run up her arm. "Nice to meet you I guess.."

Caitlyn didn't question the tattoo. Too many people had odd things like that these days for one to be a surprise. "Nice to meet you too," she said, smiling slighlty. She liked this girl, for all her weirdness.

She turned her head for a second as she heard a raven farther down the row of headstones. She looked back at her book and then looked up at Caitlyn. "Your name is too long.. Not easy to remember, um... Do you have a nickname or something shorter?" She doodled something in the book while she looked at the rose.

Caitlyn smiled slighlty. "Cait or Kitty," she said. She glanced down and smiled slighlty when she saw the raven. "'Quoth the raven, nevermore,'" she said, looking amused. "One of my favorite poems," she said, her tone apologetic. "I understand if you don't know it, most people don't these days," she looked off the other way.

Mani smiled a little. "And the raven never flitting still is sitting still is sitting up upon the placid bust of Pallas just above my chamber door." She looked at her drawing, the ink bled down the page. She frowned. "I know of Mr. Poe's poems, I find them very interesting. I love reading all the old books, it reminds me of the library I lived in." She drew something else in the book, the ink didn't run this time. "Isn't humanity sick? Look at what they do, they litter and destroy nature... It makes me sick. What are you Cait? One of few who still cares or one of the rest who doesn't care at all till its too late and nothing can be done?"
