The dead's resting place was ironically a very interesting place to go for the very much alive Jubei Terumi. At the moment, he was sitting on the ground, leaning against the tombstone of a Hazama Yo, making small conversation with what he assumed was the dead man. He had been here many times, and as far as he could figure, Mr. Yo's Tombstone was the most comfortable to lean against of them all. He of course asked permission before he leaned against it, and not being struck down by divine lightning for catching on fire, he assumed he was being granted just that.
Jubei was very interested in graveyards, even in other territories, as they contained both the light and the dark side of things. Just another perfect example of chaos, he supposed. Which just allured him even more. Yawning, he finished his small conversation with Mr. Yo about what he had done today, his fingers moving back and forth as they spun his Butterfly Knife open and closed. He stopped for a second to tilt his hat up and look up at the sky, before standing and giving Mr. Yo's headstone a gentle pat, thanking him for the conversation. Looking around, then up at the sky, he simply stood and enjoyed the night air, spinning his knife once more, tilting his hat back down. [/blockquote]

Jason Birden had just finished driving around the forest, looking for a good topic for his next program, when he thought the cemetary would be a good next stop. The rusty piece of junk he called a motorcycle decided to crap out right as he got to it, so he'd had to go by foot throughout the cemetary. Before venturing out, of course, he lit himself a cigarette and let the smoke float away.
Making his way into the graveyard, he had his notebook and pencil ready for whatever interesting tidbits he could use. He was searching for hours and through many a tombstones, and hadn't found any one. He had already gone through two cigarettes, and was now on his third one. This one was nearly half way burnt, so Jason was getting annoyed by his lack of findings.
In due time, Jason had found himself in another section of a graveyard, and he wasn't any happier. He had put his notebook and pencil away and was getting more and more annoyed with each footstep. He eventually found some dude leaning next to another tombstone. Jason sighed and realized he left his recorder at home, so he'd have to do it be memory. He hated his memory, it always misled him.
Anyway, Jason walked up to the guy, deciding to take a long shot, rather then do nothing.
"Excuse me, sir, do you mind if I ask you a few questions," Jason told him.

Jubei looked down at someone he really had not heard walking up, too distracted by the movements of the stars..or were they standing still? One could never tell, since the Earth was supposedly always moving at a circular angle to that of a-...what was he doing again? He looked back down and found a man standing in front of him. What was he doing there? The man who appeared like a ghost...in a cemetary. Wasn't that strange? What if he...what was he doing again?
Oh right. The man asked a question. The question was if he could ask some more questions. Jubei tilted his head, grinning a snarky smile, chuckling. "Didn't you just ask one, silly little man." Very well, maybe he would amuse him. He lost the smile and sat down on Mr. Yo's Tombstone, putting his foot up on his left knee, folding his fingers and waiting patiently, and looking somewhat serious. "You may begin." He smiled politely and stared up at the man under his hat, his eyes slitted so that the cat-eyes weren't too obvious. [/blockquote]

Jason had watched the man do his movements with his head, and while he was distracted with the sky, Jason had noticed two things:
1. He was an Ookami. That's one obstacle he could avoid.
and 2. He had cat like eyes. That's an obstacle he'd HAVE to avoid.
After hearing the man say 'begin' in a way so serious, it'd make the lead singer of Guns and Roses stop and quiver, he began.
With a sigh, he said, "What are you doing in a cemetary? It's kind of weird to be honest."
He stopped to think for a second of his question before answering his own.
"I'm here because I'm look up info for my radio program," he said. "In case you ask me."
Yeah, he knew these times. Always asked questions back before answering one of yours. He was like the final boss from Tales of Vesperia. Only without white hair.

Now that was an interesting question. Why was he here? Maybe it was because he enjoyed telling Mr. Yo all the stories of his life...maybe it was because he enjoyed the feeling that every person got when they sat in a graveyard in the dead of night...He shrugged. "I believe I am here because I feel that most of the deepest secrets of the mind could be unlocked by creating harmony with the dead and living.."
He paused, for just a second. "Me, in this instance obviously, is most likely what brings me here, deep into Kuma territory." He grinned, looking up at the other man. "Which brings me into another point. You are obviously Kuma, does it not bother you that you have found a wolf in your cave, so to speak?" [/blockquote]

Jason listened closely to what he was saying, and physically wrote it down on his notepad, but conciously, he was resiting to get a shotgun and shoot the dude's eyes out. But since Jason knew that'd be a trouble waiting to happen, he instead told the man his true thoughts. They weren't on-air, so it's not like they were watching him, not unless Big Brother really wanted to hurt me.
"My opinion on the whole clan thing is that we're all humans. There's no point to fight at all," he said.
He let that sink in for a few seconds before ending the dude's question.
"As for the 'wolf in my cave' analogy, I don't care unless I have to talk to one, then I just don't like it," he said.
He let that do its course on the man. But Jason knew what he'd ask. He knew it very well. So, he decided to finish it.
"And the reason I'm talking to one is because I need some good conversations for my program, in case you wanted to know," he said.
There. Done. Over with. Despite the man's lack of good eye choice, Jason must admit, he does look like a high class kind of guy, and has a nice hat. Jason then let this run its course on the suited man. Nice poetry. Would do good on his profound section of the broadcast.

Ah, so he was one of those people. Jubei simply chuckled, which turned out into a full out laugh, before he opened one eye wide, and stared sideways at the man. "Well, that is interesting, isn't it? You are sacrificing your dislike of us wolves to further your work in your career, and yet you do not like to be in the fight? I suppose that makes two of us... He simply grinned and leaned back, looking up at the stars, holding onto the tombstone under him. He just yawned, then blinked and looked back to the man. "My name I won't tell you, but people around here call me the Butterfly Knife. And you haven't asked me another question yet." He simply smiled, waiting patiently again. [/blockquote]

All Jason could do at the cat-eyed, serious, Butterfly Knife named man, is smirk. This smirk wasn't just a simple smirk, it was one of understanding. Jason threw his pencil behind him, not caring where it landed. He put his notepad in his jacket pocket before cracking his knuckles and giving it to him straight.
"Nice to know I'm not alone," he said.
With a sigh, Jason asked another question, as the man so very much wanted.
"Since you appear to be somewhat of an enigma, care to tell me why you chose that very tombstone," he asked.
Jason stared closely at this man, trying to avoid his cat-eyes, which still annoy him to no end. Even so, he was ready to listen to what he had to say, and even ready for a response.

Hmm...now he was digging. Jubei smirked and looked down at Mr. Yo's tombstone, blinking. "I have come here many times over the last couple years...and since that very first time, I found that not only is Mr. Yo here the best listener, but by some twist of fate in that he enjoys my stories, or it was made just for me, his tombstone, out of all the others, I find the most comfortable." He simply laughed quietly. "So far, I have asked his permission to lean against it and speak every time I have come, and by the simple knowledge that I have had no bad karma, and not been struck down or haunted, I can only assume that Mr. Yo, if he can hear me, enjoys my stories." He smiled up at the man, squinting his eyes once more in a large smile. [/blockquote]

With his hand cupped around his back, Jason listened the man's story. It was unique, unique enough to talk about. It was definately interesting, and Jason wanted to know more.
"Did you know this Mr. Yo, when he was alive I mean?" he asked.
After asking the question, Jason took out what was left of his cigarette, burned it out on his jacket, then put the remains in one his pockets. He did this so to avoid a lecture of 'disturbing the sacred area' or something of that accord.
Jason asked the question, not for his radio broadcast, but because he was interested. And despite his gladness for the man's squinted eyes, he seems to be secretive. Secretive enough to not tell me a whole story.

More digging. Now here was a man who knew how to get the answer he wanted, through annoyance or pure boredom. Terumi just laughed, a loud hawking laugh, and looked back down at the tombstone. "Sadly, Mr. Yo died long before we, or even our parents, were born. As per his tombstone..." In the very faded stone, a date sat barely dusted in, and though it was horribly faded and hard to tell, it was obvious that it was long before the year 3000. "So to answer your question, no, I never got the pleasure of conversing with Hazama Yo in person." He smirked, pulling his hat back down and removing his knife, spinning in his fingers once more, as a way to distract himself to oncoming boredom. Anyone who looked closely would see that it was a butterfly knife, the very knife he got his name in this region for... [/blockquote]

Throughout his entire conversation with the so called 'Butterfly Knife', Jason didn't stop watching. From the squinting of his eyes, from every situating he did on the tombstone, from each word that came out of his mouth, and now, with the knife he grabbed out from a hidden view. He kept both eyes on him.
Jason knew this man was bored, he just got too curious and lost sight. He got more than he wanted for his program, and he was ready to head off, for both their sakes.
"Thank you for your time," he said.
Jason smiled with every word. He really was thankful, but for moer then just his time. See, with the whole spinning knife sequence, Jason figured that'd not only should he leave, but also should ask one last question.
"But one more question. Completely off the radio," he said.
With another smile on his face, Jason took a breath of the cool wind that rolled through his hair. He kept it in for a few seconds before letting it out, enjoying every second he had of the cool breeze in his lungs. With a sigh, he asked his question.
"Why the incognito attitude? Why not just tell me everything that I wanted as normal and plain as possible?"

Terumi nodded his head to the seeming departure, but then blinked and tilted his head as he said he had one last question. He rolled his head back on his neck, staring at the stars, then forward again in a circle, murmuring to himself quietly. Why was he like that? Well, hell if he knew. It was just one more of those questions about his own chaotic nature he supposed. But he'd have to answer, so he rolled his neck one more time, then sprang forward so he was standing before the man, closing the knife in his hand and pocketing it. "Well, I suppose I'd be boring if I didn't make it interesting, now wouldn't I? And I don't want to be boring. People forget other boring people. It's the interesting, and sometimes dangerous ones that they remember down the line..." He grinned with a dangerous glint in his eye, shoving his hands in his pockets lightly and watching the man with his cat-eyes, smacking his lips. [/blockquote]

Jason stood with his side facing this Butterfly Knife, listening closely as to what he had to say about, well, himself. He heard everything, from the interesting, to the boring. It was interesting. Jason then stopped and paused when he finished, looking closely at his cat like eyes. All he could do was stare at them, intently. He felt an anger boil in his stomach, not cooling down anytime soon.
Jason put his hand in the jacket pocket not in Knife's direction, and couldn't help but make a fist. It was a fist so tight, that his fingernails started digging into his palm. He started shedding some blood. He couldn't stop looking at the eyes.
F**kin cats.

He watched as the man turned away, then grinned and looked up at the moon, over the few trees that were in the large graveyard. "I shall give you an example. A very long time ago, in the magical land of Great Britain, there was a shoe cobbler. He is remembered by almost noone, the only people who might remember him were his family, and they know him only as a name..." He suddenly grinned, closing his yellow eyes, then continued. "However...Jack the Ripper. Now that is a name that many people still remember, isn't it? A mass serial killer...that is the kind of thing that is remembered for all time." He just chuckled, his teeth flashing as he smiled. [/blockquote]
