Kiyoko managed not to frown at Takumi's words. She knew they had to leave soon, she understood it well, but the reminder still hurt. She could hold it in for a few more days though, for the moment all she could do was savor the time with her son before he was gone again.
Karina didn't like the thought of leaving so soon, but thankfully Ren interrupted that train of thought and gave her something else to focus on for the time being. The hand that was holding Merry's loosened enough to let go and instead wrap around her little sister, pulling her closer to her side and squeezing her shoulder gently as they moved towards the computer with the others. It was meant to be as much comfort to herself as it was for Merry, both of them certainly needed it.

Ren grinned as everyone gathered around. He had brought this whole meeting thing up with his mum the day before, so it wasn't like they'd be talking to her on an unsecured channel or anything. Secrecy was paramount after all. "Mum," he said as the group settled in around him and the computer. Takumi was near the back, tall enough to loom over most of the others in the group, and Satoru had wheeled himself to the front of the group. Merry stuck with her sister. "This is everyone, you remember cousin Toru?"
"Yes," she replied, looking coolly out from the screen. She and Ren shared their hair, thick and blue, though hers was shot through with quite a lot of grey at this point. There were wrinkles around hard grey eyes, irises like chips of granite, that bore the weight of a long and trying life. She was smiling, but there were no teeth. "I remember the corpses that walk away."
"You're not much better," the gunslinger shot back, not even raising a brow.
She gave a snort, "the wit of your mother, I'm sure." Satoru didn't move at the barb, and she seemed to move on to better prey. "I believe we called for business?"

Gabe stood behind everyone else, being the tallest person in the group it was just easier to have it that way, and he glanced over at Tori as she stood beside Merry and Karina before looking back at the screen. Ugh, so he guessed he was technically related to this lady too? There was no blood relation, he knew, but all these surprise 'family' that were popping up was starting to get annoying.
Kiyoko stood near Satoru, still keeping her son close to her. She remembered Ms Takanabi from the time she spent working for Jun. She hadn't worked in the brothel her entire time there after all, Jun had needed someone to assist her personally, which meant occasionally seeing the people her ex-owner had deals with. Of course, Kiyo had never actually spoken a word to the woman before, but her face was hard to forget. "Yes, there's details that need to be worked out for when Jun is unseated." There was no 'if' as far as she was concerned.
As the conversation began, Karina felt herself become more uneasy. Things were slowly becoming more real to her and it made her sick thinking about it, she just… needed to breathe and focus on the conversation going on for the time being. She took a quiet breath and did her best to block out the feeling for now.
